Super Gene Hunting Ground

”Wakaka, are you sent by the joker?”

Ah Bao clasped Yang Xiao’s neck with both hands, lifting him up.

In an instant, Yang Xiao subconsciously reached for the Bronze Divine Sword in his Space Ring, intending to cleave his opponent to death.

At that moment, Ah Bao didn’t take Yang Xiao seriously at all. Yang Xiao definitely had the opportunity to strike successfully.

However, as Yang Xiao’s hand touched the ring, he stopped.

Ah Bao’s hands were large, and the round grip he had on Yang Xiao’s neck didn’t make Yang Xiao feel like he was choking.

Or rather, Ah Bao never intended to kill Yang Xiao, but was simply enraged and wanted to vent,

or perhaps he was unclear about Yang Xiao’s true intentions and just wanted to intimidate him.

In any case, Ah Bao did not actually try to kill Yang Xiao.

Therefore, in an instant, Yang Xiao also stopped his counterattack.

...

Although the soundproof light screen could block Ah Bao’s angry roar, it was still translucent.

Luo Meng watched Yang Xiao from a distance tens of meters away. Seeing Yang Xiao suddenly lifted by the neck by Ah Bao, he immediately drew his sword and rushed over.

But Ah Mu and dozens of wildmen immediately surrounded Luo Meng and the other two.

”Don’t move; make a move and I’ll have you dead,”

Ah Mu said with a cold laugh.

Tanaka Jiao from Ice Wolf Island chuckled and said,

”This kid is asking for death; no one should expect to save him.”

...

”Cough, cough, cough,”

Yang Xiao coughed a few times, his face a bit flushed.

”I’m not lying to you. It was David who asked me to come and talk to you. Station Chief Dai will also become one of the owners of this private mining field,

cough, cough, cough, let go first, put me down. I’m not your opponent; think about it, why would I deceive you?

How could our small group possibly defeat so many wildmen?

And how could we possibly drive you away?

Wouldn’t that mean all our hard work mining would have been done in vain for you?”

Ah Bao wasn’t dumb enough not to understand. Though surprising, the situation wasn’t entirely implausible.

One point Yang Xiao made was correct: if Yang Xiao were to dig mines in the wildmen’s forest and a conflict ensued, the couple of hundred people from David Base would stand no chance against the wildman tribes.

In the vast Primitive Forest that spanned over tens of thousands of square meters, at least three to four thousand wildmen lived there.

”No matter what bad idea you have, in any case, if you deceive me, you will not gain any advantages.”

Ah Bao muttered, finally letting go of his hands and putting Yang Xiao down.

Yang Xiao coughed a few times and rubbed his neck.

Seeing Ah Bao let down Yang Xiao from afar, Luo Meng and the others heaved a sigh of relief.

Only Tanaka Jiao felt somewhat unreconciled.

Yang Xiao caught his breath, glanced at Ah Bao, and continued,

”I am a Miner who was captured from Earth. Actually, my fate is the same as you, the wildmen; I am also a victim of oppression and humiliation by the Witch Star people,

Most people from Earth were killed by the Witch Star people, including my parents and family,

Can you understand what I’m saying?”

Upon saying this, Yang Xiao thought of his parents and relatives, and his expression was very sorrowful.

Ah Bao was startled, staring blankly at Yang Xiao, recalling how his father was killed by people led by David, he said angrily,

”They killed many of our wildmen and drove us to the remote Primitive Forest. I hate them to death.”

”Hate cannot solve the problem. If my guess is correct, in about ten to twenty years, your wildmen will vanish from this planet, or to say, most of the wildmen will be killed, leaving only a very few.”

”Ah?”

Ah Bao looked at Yang Xiao.

For some reason, he suddenly felt a peculiar fondness for Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao told Ah Bao of his ordeal. In fact, their positions should be aligned as both were oppressed by the Witch Star people. This invisibly bridged the distance between them, dissolving the antagonism.

”With the strength of you wildmen, you were unable to resist the Witch Star people. The Purple Origin Crystal Stone Mine will eventually be exhausted, and by then, they will certainly go to the Primitive Forest of the Wilderness Protection Zone to mine.

If you refuse, they will surely send an army to exterminate you all.”

Yang Xiao’s words struck Ah Bao like a lightning bolt, making him instantly realize a completely different future.

Moreover, his gut told him that what Yang Xiao said was all true, and would inevitably happen.

This indeed relates to the survival and extinction of the Wild People.

”Why, why are you telling me all this?”

Ah Bao’s voice was somewhat trembling.

It’s like when Yang Xiao on Earth realized that the fate of humankind was completely in the hands of the Witch Star people, and that they could be exterminated at any moment, that kind of crisis can deeply shake you.

”Because I want to survive!”

”You?”

”I’m just a miner, a slave, who could be killed by the Witch Star people at any moment, so I must find a way to keep living.

Now, I, and you, as well as your Wild People, we have a hope. If we can cooperate, we might be able to survive,

your Wild People won’t be exterminated, Purple Origin Star won’t be completely controlled by the Witch Star people, and I can live decently.”

”Are you saying mining can keep us alive? Aren’t you thinking too simply?”

”It’s not just about mining, but about establishing a city for the Wild People, a world for the Wild People, uniting all the Wild People to form a powerful organization.”

”Hum!”

Ah Bao felt a buzzing in his mind, insufficient intelligence.

Yang Xiao glanced at Ah Bao and continued:

”The things I said today, you can’t tell your subordinates, let alone those defectors from Ice Wolf Island.”

”Why?”

”On the surface, we can only use mining as a pretext, we cannot have other motives. Other matters, must await the right time to mature and develop gradually, naturally falling into place,

some things are better done than said.

If our true purpose for cooperation is leaked out prematurely and recognized by David and the others, our plan will not be carried out, and your Wild People will be extinct within twenty, maybe ten years.”

Ah Bao couldn’t help trembling.

”Of course, you have to take me to see the Great Chief of your Wild People’s tribes for this matter. Some words, I have to communicate personally with him. Only by establishing mutual trust and aiding each other can we ultimately gain the chance to survive.”

After listening, Ah Bao was silent for a moment, then said:

”Fine, I’ll take you to the Primitive Forest to meet our king of the Wild People, but whether you can persuade him, I don’t know.”

”Do you believe me?”

Yang Xiao asked.

Ah Bao thought for a moment and nodded with difficulty.

”Good, if you believe me, then don’t go asking David for any Genetic Potion anymore, and definitely don’t let those defector miners coax you into bombing the mines.

A few days ago I went with David to Karachi City, originally planning to hire an army to come exterminate you guys, thankfully some unexpected incidents occurred and the Mercenary Army was temporarily called off,

but you won’t always be that lucky. You are the weak, don’t challenge the limits of the strong. If I’m not wrong, those defector miners are actually using you for their own ends.”

”But, they have been helping us, helping us get more Crystal Stones from David.”

”Is that so? He’s coaxed you into killing David’s miners and blowing up the mines, actually full inciting the conflict between you and David, making it impossible for you to reconcile with David. They also temporarily gained refuge,

while you did get some Crystal Stones, you also lost more than a dozen Wild People, wasn’t the price a bit too high?

Maybe one day you’ll die without knowing why.”

”Um?”

Ah Bao’s mind was shocked, and suddenly he felt that Yang Xiao in front of him was like a light in the night, illuminating his path ahead, pointing him in the right direction, and making the things that had been confusing these days suddenly become clear.

With a wave of his hand, Ah Bao lifted the soundproof light screen that surrounded them and strode towards Ah Mu and the others.

Tanaka Jiao ran a few steps involuntarily to meet them and said:

”Chief Ah Bao, why didn’t you kill him just then. What happened?”

”Snap!”

With lightning speed, Ah Bao’s large hand clenched, directly crushing Tanaka Jiao’s throat.

Tanaka Jiao wasn’t able to react in time, his eyes widened in horror looking at Ah Bao. He truly couldn’t comprehend what had just happened.

This sudden turn of events caught everyone off guard.

All of them were astonished,

Ah Mu and the other four from Ice Wolf Island were even more shocked.

Ah Mu ran up,

”Chief Ah Bao, why did you kill him? He was a great benefactor to our Wild People tribe!”

”Hmph, I hate most when others use me! Treating me like a fool, you’re the biggest fool.”

Ah Bao said this to the now deceased Tanaka Jiao whose eyes were still wide open.
