Chapter 1591: Chapter 549: Mad Wings_3

Hearing Rein’s words, Metheus was not angry, but shook his head and said:

”No need, I agree to become your giant dragon partner.”

”Offspring of Dragon, let’s sign the contract.” Metheus slightly turned his head and said to Menia beside him.

”Alright.” Menia’s smile grew even brighter.

The strength of ’Mad Wings’ Metheus is undeniable; not only does Rein gain strength by signing a contract with it, but the Empire also gains an important force.

She took off an eye-shaped amulet from her fair neck, held it tightly in her hand, and quickly began to chant a spell.

Rein knew this was the Royal Family’s high-rank witch artifact ’Eye of the Giant Dragon.’

Soon, a peculiar and vast witchcraft ripple rose in the Dragon Nest.

Directly in front of Rein and Black Dragon Metheus, several lines of ancient text written in spiritual script appeared out of thin air, essentially becoming partners, taking care of each other, fighting, etc.

After reading the contract terms, Rein quickly raised his finger and pointed.

With a spiritual power fluctuation passing by, the contract person position under the ancient text in mid-air added the words ’Rein Carlan.’

And ’Mad Wings’ Metheus also raised its gigantic dragon claw, pointing in mid-air, a name much longer than Rein’s true name of the Dragon Clan appeared under the spiritual text.

In an instant, the contract was established!

At the same time, a system notification sounded:

[Ding! Host’s first contract with a giant dragon, current contracted pet count (3/4)]

[Ding! Host triggered the epic event of transferring to Dragon Knight—contract giant dragon!]

[Preconditions for transferring to Dragon Knight (Epic) are: First, contract with any giant dragon; second, Giant Beast Knight or related profession level 5 or above; third, Strength 50 points or above, Agility 50 points or above, Constitution 50 points or above, Spirit 50 points or above... current conditions met! Proceed to transfer to Dragon Knight (Epic)?]

[Note: Advancing to Dragon Knight (Epic) will replace the Beast Priest (Legendary) profession panel.]

Upon seeing this expected transfer information, Rein couldn’t help but be delighted and naturally chose ”Yes!” without hesitation.

[Ding! Transfer successful!]

[Transfer to Dragon Knight (Epic)! Strength +5, Agility +5, Constitution +5, Spirit +5! Obtained Dragon Knight (Epic) core skill: Giant Dragon Partner (passive).]

Giant Dragon Partner (passive): As a Dragon Knight, when you and your giant dragon partner fight together, you will have the hidden battle aura boost, gaining full attribute enhancement effects.]

(Note: Fighting together means the distance between the two parties cannot exceed the range of consciousness sensing.)

Hmm?

Metheus instantly felt something was amiss, as if there was something else besides the contract from the offspring of Dragon clan.

However, after carefully sensing it again, it didn’t discover anything, and it shook its head lightly, no longer thinking about it.

”Rein, congratulations.” Menia beside him saw this scene, stepped forward, and smiled slightly in congratulation.

”Thank you.”

...

A few minutes later, a huge black dragon appeared above the Imperial Palace, and the giant black dragon soared to the sky, reaching high altitudes, and with a flash of concealment type witchcraft, the dragon instantly disappeared.

”Roar~~~”

At this moment, the black dragon let out a clear and loud roar.

And on the broad back of the black dragon Metheus, which gleamed with bright black scales, Rein stood with a smile on his face.

”Finally, I have become a Dragon Knight!”

...

A few minutes later.

Rein arrived at the office of the Sword Holder Headquarters.

Although he was promoted to Imperial Guardian, since the Empire had just undergone a major change, his duties at Sword Holder had not yet been relinquished.

Seeing Olena, who had received news of Rein’s arrival at headquarters, soon appeared at the door and respectfully said: ”Lord, here is a top-secret letter sent by the Attendant from the Imperial Palace, and besides, Sect Leader Moria has sent an urgent message.”

”The urgent message from Sect Leader Moria should have arrived the day before yesterday, but was delayed until now due to the great war in the Imperial City.”

”Oh?” Rein furrowed his brow, took the letter, and immediately began to read it.

As for the letter from the Attendant of the Imperial Palace, Rein was not in a hurry, because Menia had already told him the letter contained a map of the dragon nest suspected to be that of the Steel Dragon.

”Did they discover an hidden stronghold of the Tutkash School? Encircle but do not attack... wait for my message, Sect Leader Moria seems very cautious.” Rein felt relieved upon seeing this and said.

Although he had left ’Destroyer,’ and Graham was severely injured by him, and the two avatars of Evil God Nael Breccan were eliminated, the enemy might still resort to desperate measures and use special tactics in battle.

Moria is indeed experienced and cautious, merely sending people to encircle.

”Lord, is the situation serious?”

”It’s manageable, but there were some casualties.”

”It seems I’ll need to make a trip to the Shirendil Plateau to completely eradicate this Tutkash School with its secret connection to Evil God Nael Breccan.”

”Otherwise, with the strengthening of energy tide fluctuations, the strength of the avatars that the enemy can summon might further increase.”

Soon, Rein had made up his mind.

”Lord, I’ll arrange a high-speed airship for you.”

”Wait, in future, unless I specifically instruct otherwise, you don’t need to arrange one for me anymore.”

”Hmm?” Olena blinked with a hint of confusion.

But when she followed Rein out the door, shortly after, a special pressure suddenly descended, and although she didn’t see anything, Olena could sense the fear from deep within her mind.

When Rein leapt onto Metheus’s back, the majestic figure of ’Mad Wings’ flashed before Olena’s eyes, through concealment-type witchcraft.

”Gasp~ it’s so big!” Olena couldn’t help but cover her little mouth and exclaimed.

”Has Lord Rein contracted a giant dragon?”

”Congratulations, Lord Rein.”

”Mm, thank you, Olena, I shall be on my way now.” Rein nodded slightly and smiled.

With that, Rein patted Metheus’s back, and with a burst of strong air flow, a man and a dragon quickly disappeared from Sword Holder Headquarters.
