Chapter 1559: Chapter 537: Empire’s Rise to Fame

Before this, aside from the ’Red Queen’ Menia, Reginald, and Luther, most of the advanced nobles and strong players in the Empire on the stands believed that in this battle, the odds were heavily in favor of the veteran Dragon Rider titled ’Storm Cloud,’ Pantoscoke.

But what most nobles didn’t expect was for Pantoscoke to be utterly defeated by the young Rein!

As the saying goes, the layman watches the show, while the expert looks at the door.

The dozen Imperial Guardians on the strong players’ stands naturally saw much more than the Imperial Nobles.

The buzzing sound that just pierced through the poisonous clouds was precisely the dark silver metal disc, the speed that flashed by and the instant power that crushed Pantoscoke’s Dawn Killing Move, ’Storm’s Fury,’ indicated that the young Lord Rein in front of them had mastered a remarkable Dawn Killing Move.

”Just now... that move seemed to be a rare metallic Dawn Killing Move, right?” Perkins said, somewhat dry in the throat.

The bet he had with Reginald was naturally lost, not to mention the pain of losing money, what shocked him more was the seemingly unfathomable strength of that young man.

”Indeed! From the witchcraft fluctuations, it is indeed a Metal Series Dawn Killing Move! But from what I know, the Empire does not seem to have a Metal Series Dawn Killing Move.”

”It seems that Lord Rein must have gained abundantly from some ruins exploration.”

...

So young, yet mastering a Dawn Killing Move?

It’s important to know that even among Epic level strong players, there are hierarchies.

For instance, ordinary Epic level strong players, if they have not mastered a Dawn Killing Move, not contracted a Giant Dragon, or lack rare Epic level battle power Demon Statues, they are considered the lowest tier of Epic level strong players.

For example, the three-colored Dragon-men Bostaf, Quirut, and others previously killed by Rein were of this level, also at the bottom tier among Epic level strong players.

One tier above this are veteran Dragon Riders who can utilize the battle power of their Giant Dragon partners or Dawn Wizards who have mastered a Dawn Killing Move, this is also the threshold to become an Imperial Guardian.

A tier further up includes Dawn Middle Stage Wizards, whose Dawn Killing Move’s power increases as the Wizard enters the Dawn Middle Stage, and combined with the support of a Giant Dragon, both Reginald and Pantoscoke were at this level.

The fourth tier was once the level of ’Red Queen’ Menia, a Dawn Late Stage Wizard who has mastered more than one Dawn Killing Move, offering more diverse combat choices; or has the support of an ancient dragon-level Giant Dragon, where the Dragon Rider’s own strength is not lower than a Dawn Middle Stage Wizard, also barely counting as this tier.

The Green Dragon Hazas, promoted to an ancient Dragon Roar partnered with Pantoscoke, barely counted as this tier.

And Rein’s ability to defeat the opponent meant that most of the Imperial Guardians present were actually no match for Rein.

Furthermore, many of the Imperial Guardians wore serious faces because a question occupied their minds: was the prowess just demonstrated all of Rein’s strength?

...

Center of the arena.

Pantoscoke’s face alternated between red and white; he wanted to fight again, but the wound on his abdomen and the struggling of his Green Dragon partner Hazas reminded him not to act, or he’d truly die.

Moreover, Hazas’ sleep-inducing poisonous cloud unexpectedly had no effect on Rein, which left Pantoscoke puzzled.

Even the strongest killing move had no effect; how could he fight Rein?

Most importantly, Rein did not pursue the victory aggressively, already showing mercy, if he continued further...

”Alas, Lord Rein, I admit defeat!” With those words, Pantoscoke appeared to age ten years in an instant.

With Pantoscoke’s admission of defeat, an unknown noble began applauding, soon the applause spread throughout the Royal Arena, forming a torrent, resonating across the entire venue.

Even the dozen top-level strong players from the strong players’ stand began applauding.

Even at the very center of the arena’s stands, the Royal Family’s stand, the ’Red Queen’ Menia smiled and clapped, alongside her, the Second Prince Everton, though his complexion was sullen, had to force a smile, raising his palm for two claps, acting in harmony with his aunt’s gesture.

Yet in his heart, he silently roared: Rein, enjoy your triumph! But alas, your secret is known to me already, don’t think you’re safe with aunt’s protection, once my father recovers from his injury... Multi-Headed Dragon Bloodline... heh heh!

...

On the stands.

Seeing her man in such glory, the beautiful woman Jennifer lost her usual lady-like composure, her fair hands becoming slightly flushed from clapping.

As for Duke Drum, his face was ashen, sitting motionless like a statue, staring at the scene before him, with unknown thoughts.

Compared to his blank expression, his heart was already a whirlwind!

”Why, why did the ancestor lose?”

”Axon Auction House’s headquarters’ thirty percent shares, worth nearly a hundred million Imperial Gold Coins, a pillar generating about half of the Drum Family’s income, now entirely to be relinquished!”

”Loss of vitality is an understatement!”

”With the ancestor gravely injured, the damned Reform Faction is bound to intensify their suppression.”

...

And in the arena center.

Rein gazed at Pantoscoke and the prone Giant Dragon before him, ears filled with endless applause, feeling multitude of sentiments at the moment.

Had it been half a year ago, he might have killed Pantoscoke under the guise of an accidental injury during the duel, but since merging with Menia, his outlook began to shift.
