Chapter 433: Chapter 209: Island of Fear (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_2

A security officer quickly ran toward the administrative hall in the center of the town.

After a few minutes, several cavalry members from the front row of Rein’s team told the security officers, “Move these roadblocks for now. The pirates should not launch another attack soon.”

“Hmm? Is there any new situation?” Having observed for a few minutes, the security officers could basically confirm that those in front of them were unlikely to be pirates, as the dozen cavalry members, despite being somewhat injured, were all relatively young and handsome with pearly white teeth.

Two cavalry members looked at each other and smiled. One of them turned to the officers and said, “For this, you should thank Baron Rein, as he has cleared out the pirates that were entrenched on the roads leading in and out of your town.”

“By the way, we also caught two big fish!”

“What! Is Baron Rein that impressive?”

“The pirates on a few of the roads into our town are members of the significant pirate group, Black Sail. They are very strong.”

“…..”

The security officers were extremely surprised upon hearing this news, and soon started whispering amongst themselves.

“Of course!” The cavalrymen patted the saddlebags on their horses and showed the items they had seized.

Upon seeing these, the security officers immediately recognized them as weapons and some iconic items from the pirates, such as the Black Sail pirate skull bandanas and the like.

In the course of their exchange, the security officers began to follow the cavalry’s advice and started moving the roadblocks.

At this moment, two burly men with bandages wrapped around them and wielding hammers and shields approached.

Both men were family knights of Count Habbs with the strength of senior knights and were skilled in using hammer and shield.

Judging by the clear bandage marks on their bodies, as the primary defensive force of Fishing Port Town, they had been under considerable pressure.

Upon seeing the Reiman brothers approaching, Rein, who was inside the carriage, said to the two women, “Major Mary, Miss Vinica, please have a seat for a moment. I’ll go coordinate.”

“Of course, Baron Rein,” the two women immediately nodded.

Given their special status, coordinating the territorial work was naturally most suitable for Rein.

When the Reiman brothers saw how young Rein was, they couldn’t help but be stunned, and Cornett Reiman quickly said, “Are you Baron Rein? You are quite young.”

“How could the Earl send such a young knight here?”

“Although your team of cavalry appears elite, do you know that half of the twenty elite members I previously led have been killed or injured? It was not easy to hold the current situation.”

Since the Reiman brothers had been dispatched to Fishing Port Town before the bloody duel between Rein and Baron Norman, they were relatively uninformed.

They were unaware that Rein had a record of a bloody duel with the Great Knight, let alone that he had just captured the ‘Bloody Shooter’ Phil Kraz and the emissary of the Sea God Sect, Myarco.

However, at that moment, after Cobert Reiman took a careful look at Rein, he tugged at his brother’s hand and said, “I believe in him!”

The younger brother looked puzzledly at his elder brother, Cobert Reiman, who then pointed to the large bow hanging on the side of the black horse and counter-asked, “Does this bow look familiar?”

The brother took a closer look and exclaimed, “Isn’t that the bow of ‘Bloody Shooter’ Phil Kraz?”

“Why would it be in his possession?”

“Could it be…”

Of course, Cornett Reiman was very familiar with this bow—it was because of this bow that he and his brother had been injured, and they had not yet fully recovered!

At this time, a member of the specialized cavalry squad could not hold back any longer and blurted out, “‘The Bloody Shooter,’ that guy, is right behind us!”

Upon hearing this, the Reiman brothers immediately looked at each other in shock.

Seizing weapons and capturing a leader were, of course, two different concepts!

The ‘Bloody Shooter,’ whom they viewed as a formidable enemy, was surprisingly handled by the new Governor on the way to Fishing Port Town, even before his official arrival.

Such capability…

The subsequent events proceeded smoothly.

Rein and his group were soon taken to the town’s administrative hall.

The Reiman brothers quickly aligned their attitudes and swiftly reported to Rein about the events that had occurred in Fishing Port Town during their half-month deployment.

This allowed Rein to quickly get first-hand information about the current situation in Fishing Port Town.

Initially, after the Reiman brothers had completed the handover with Rein, they were supposed to return to County Town, but upon seeing the cavalry escorting Phil Kraz into the interrogation room, they changed their minds.

Especially after the brothers heard Mary mention that she would contact the South Sea Fleet to send interrogation specialists, they patted their chests and said, “We are professionals at this!”

“Even the prison sometimes calls us in for inmates they can’t handle.”

Upon hearing this, Rein found it to be a boon. There was no need to wait for the navy to dispatch interrogation personnel.

Thus, he had Mary commission Flado Knight and the two brothers to begin interrogating the prisoner.

In the time following, Rein stuck to the established schedule, practicing meditation and witchcraft daily in the administrative hall.

Based on the current progress, he would only need another seven to eight days to advance from Wizard Apprentice to level 6.

However, Rein did not devote all his time and energy to his training.

Every day, the white seagulls of Vinica would scatter to conduct reconnaissance work. Whenever they spotted pirate landing boats or pirate groups numbering more than ten, Rein would personally set out to eliminate them.
