Chapter 403: Chapter 201: Who Lasts Longer? (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

Although he had seen the dual-handed greatsword carried on Rein’s back, he would never believe that Rein’s swordsmanship was also of a master level!

After all, at Rein’s age, a master of both hammer skill and swordsmanship?

That would be absolutely ridiculous!

Even in the most outrageous tales of a Wandering Bard, such a thing could never be fabricated and spread around.

Having devised his tactic, Parix regained his confident demeanor.

“Bang!”

This time, when Rein’s Heavy Hammer Furious Strike hit the opponent’s shield, which was clearly made of special ore, a powerful denting force was obviously transmitted from the shield.

Parix actively pulled back a part of his shield to unload the force and then suddenly released the battle-axe in his other hand, directly grabbing towards the handle of Rein’s warhammer!

The plate gauntlet, emitting a dim luminescence, ‘snap’ grabbed hold of Rein’s warhammer, and Parix’s eyebrows twitched, revealing a hint of joy!

Just as he let go of the shield with his left hand, planning to use both hands to snatch away Rein’s great hammer, suddenly, Parix’s expression drastically changed!

Because at this moment, the Rein he was facing expanded his muscles, as if inflating, growing twice as large! If it weren’t for the quality of the knight armor he was wearing, it would likely have burst open from the expansion!

Parix exerted all his strength, but helplessly watched as the warhammer slowly slipped from his hands!

This strength!

What on earth did Rein eat to grow up!

Or was this some kind of secret technique?

It was then that Parix, though slow to catch on, realized that something was definitely off about this Rein.

However, Parix’s combat experience was rich, and he pulled and pushed the handle, raising it abruptly, making a swoop towards Rein’s chest.

This forced Rein to release the hammer handle! He stepped backward.

Parix’s face brightened, as he finally managed to seize the warhammer.

However, a cold gleam slashed rapidly towards his head, and with alarm bells ringing in his mind, Parix quickly abandoned his offensive and dodged to the side.

“Swoosh!”

Only then did he realize it was the dual-handed greatsword on Rein’s back!

There was hardly a moment’s pause!

Rein then wielded the dual-handed greatsword, attacking the unarmed Parix.

In just a few seconds,

Parix’s expression turned as if he had seen a ghost!

This damn… his swordsmanship is also at the master level!!

Fuck!

What kind of monster had he encountered?

Even the goddess’s illegitimate child might not be this much!

Distracted, Parix’s high-level knight armor accumulated several deep scratches!

Faced with Rein’s master-level swordsmanship, even though Parix had the Original Force for defense and the high-level knight armor for protection, he still couldn’t withstand Rein’s attack.

Fighting to this extent, Parix already had little desire to continue the battle.

But the problem was, he couldn’t just retreat outright.

At this moment, with so many people watching him being outmatched, if Zaral’s rebel forces wanted to accomplish anything significant in Meister County next, retreating in his current battered state would be absolutely terrible!

Moreover, he hadn’t yet employed his near-secret technique; who said he was definitely going to lose!

He still had a chance to win!

With a vicious look, Parix faced Rein’s Smooth Cleaving Slash with his left forearm armored with Original Force enhanced defense.

“Puchi!”

Under the master-level sword technique effects ‘Steel Cut’ and ‘Armor Break,’ Rein’s sword nearly cut a third into the forearm, stopped only by the radius bone.

Parix’s eyes bulged, painfully enduring as he threw a heavy punch with his right hand towards Rein’s abdomen.

“Bam!!”

Although Rein tensed his abdomen and performed the Pendulum Retreat Step from Kadar Martial Arts, due to the lower level of his martial arts, he was still sent flying seven or eight meters by Parix’s furious punch, and the Glimmering Greatsword flew out of his hand!

Parix threw the greatsword stuck in his forearm armor, then hurled himself towards the single-bladed battle-axe lodged in the ground nearby.

Judging from the wounds, Rein naturally had the upper hand. Although he suffered a heavy blow to his abdomen, he had the buffering from retracting his abdomen and the protection of his armor, moreover, he had a level 3 Transcendent trait ‘Iron Skin’ for defense.

So, when he saw his opponent endure his sword to grab the battle-axe, Rein knew it was time for the deciding move.

He also, without hesitation, rolled towards the warhammer that had fallen nearby.

Almost simultaneously, both men grabbed the weapons they were most skilled with.

And the distance between them had widened from two or three meters to now more than ten meters.

Without coordination, both began to gather their energy.

Then, almost at the same moment, they charged towards each other!

Parix’s single-bladed battle-axe condensed a luminescent glow, a solid white light slashed towards Rein in a Smooth Cleaving Slash!

“Near secret technique— ‘Flash Cut!ʼ”

Meanwhile, Rein activated ‘Triple State,’ smashing the Earth-splitting Hammer from above down towards Parix!

“Secret technique—’Earth-splitting Hammer!ʼ”

In an instant, the axe and hammer collided fiercely in mid-air!
