Chapter 404: Chapter 202: It’s Actually a F***ing… (Two-in-One Long Chapter)

“Clang!!!”

A spark that was extremely dazzling in the darkness burst forth at the point where the two weapons clashed!

Following that, a metal clashing sound that could tear eardrums resounded all around….

Everyone’s eyes were wide open, and even though the sparks made their tears flow, they kept watching the scene in front of them without blinking. Although they had scarcely seen anything clearly throughout the battle, they were still bubbling with excitement.

After the lightning-fast exchange, Rein and Parix were both sent flying backwards.

Parix’s legs plowed two ravines more than ten meters long on the ground of the mansion’s front courtyard. His right hand, which was holding the axe, trembled non-stop and the next second, there was a ‘crackling’ strange noise.

All his plate gauntlets and arm armor on his right hand burst apart, revealing the inside which was a blur of flesh and blood. Anyone could see that this right arm was temporarily useless.

And Rein wasn’t faring well either!

After his warhammer was knocked away by the opponent’s axe filled with primal force, that powerful axe still had enough energy to cleave through the brand-new hydrosteel breastplate of a high-ranking knight that Rein was wearing.

At that moment, Rein could feel a severe pain emanating from his chest.

He looked down and saw a narrow, at least thirty centimeters long, slit cut through his thick knight’s breastplate. Through the slit, he could see a clear red line on the skin of his chest, from which blood was slowly seeping out.

The power of the opponent’s axe had exceeded his expectations. Rein had originally thought that with his master-level Hammer Skill secret technique combined with his core skill ‘Hammer Mastery lv3,’ he could at least be on par with his opponent.

But unexpectedly, after knocking his Warhammer away, the opponent’s axe still had so much power left that it broke through his hydrosteel breastplate and ‘Iron Skin lv3,’ and injured him.

Although it had only sliced open the skin on his chest, creating a cut, it was enough to draw blood…

However, when Rein looked up at his opponent and saw the almost completely disabled state of his right hand, a slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Rein was not afraid of getting hurt.

Especially since his opponent’s injuries were much more severe than his own.

Seeing that Rein was actually able to get up, Parix’s pupils shrank and he wore an expression of disbelief. Clearly his own strike had torn open the opponent’s knight’s breastplate, yet Rein seemed not to have suffered much damage.

Parix murmured, “How is this possible!”

“The move I just used was almost a secret technique!”

“It should have gutted him, how could the injuries be so minor.”

Though Parix couldn’t figure it out, at this moment, his right hand had almost completely lost its combat ability, so he decided to retreat immediately.

Still, he couldn’t help but take another unwilling look at Rein.

It had been a long time since he had encountered a situation so unexpectedly difficult.

He had thought it would be an easy task, but it turned out to be so tricky when actually carried out!

As Parix’s gaze lingered on Rein, he gave a light exclamation.

Because he saw that after quickly getting up, Rein hadn’t immediately picked up his weapon to rush at him.

This gave Parix a sudden thought…

Could it be that Rein’s swift rise was merely to mask his true injuries, and that his strike had actually reached vital organs like the heart and lungs?

After a brief contemplation, Parix’s eyes suddenly lit up.

It must be so.

This makes sense!

Because only this explanation would be logical!

Otherwise, how could he possibly explain the lightness of the opponent’s injuries after facing his nearly secret technique strike?

It seems that he had narrowly won this round!

However…..

Parix seemed to hear Rein mouthing something.

This made him curious, and he immediately pricked up his ears to listen closely. The next second, his expression changed drastically—he heard that Rein was whispering a spell of witchcraft…

“Fuck, this Rein is actually a Wizard Apprentice too…”

Parix hadn’t finished cursing.

Suddenly, he felt as if a sun had risen right in front of him!

His eyes were struck by the extremely dazzling glare, and in an instant, tears streamed down his face….

However, being a veteran of many battles, he quickly realized why Rein had not launched an attack before.

The aim must have been to cast this spell of witchcraft.

Perhaps Rein really wasn’t much injured?

Rein had indeed been casting the witchcraft ‘Blazing Light’ just then.

Originally, the moment he got up, Rein had intended to attack.

But then, a sudden inspiration struck his mind—he thought of this witchcraft ‘Blazing Light,’ which was extremely suitable for the current environment.

Moreover, his opponent was severely injured and unaware that he knew witchcraft, making it a perfect surprise.

Sure enough, once the witchcraft ‘Blazing Light’ was successfully cast, Parix looked shocked and instinctively closed his eyes.

In that instant, Rein made his move.

He charged at Parix like a cheetah launching an attack, halfway there, he reached out to scoop up the warhammer that had fallen to the side.

Parix, with his wealth of combat experience, almost blinded in the next second, vaguely sensed imminent danger and immediately turned around to run toward the location of the street he remembered.

Although a Great Knight’s body has strong adaptability, their sharp vision was more severely impacted than that of the guards in the nearby mansion.
