Chapter 405: Chapter 202: It’s Actually a F***ing… (Two-in-One Long Chapter)_2

He barely managed to open his tearful eyes, only to feel a dizzying blur ahead, mixed with a spin of vertigo, unable to discern the direction of the street.

But this moment’s hesitation was all it took for a strong gust to attack from behind, forcing him to awkwardly turn around in defense!

Rein swiftly closed the distance in a single bound, his arm muscles bulging as he spun around, swinging a dark shadow of his hammer from below in an upward arc, striking Parix’s lower abdomen with immense force!

It was the signature posture of the Tokkal Hammer Technique’s “Rising Dragon Hammer”!

“Thump!!”

Parix’s abdomen took a heavy blow, instantly folding his body in half, his limbs stretching forward as they stiffened, his tongue unnaturally sticking out of his wide-open mouth, his eyes bulging as if they would pop out of their sockets. Meanwhile, his whole body was hurled seven or eight meters away!

Like a meteor, he crashed violently against the wall of a villa by the street.

“Boom!!!”

Since the walls of a noble’s mansion were constructed with particular care, made of stacked strips of granite, the impact of Parix’s collision, though huge, did not break through.

At this moment, Parix’s state was truly pitiable, embedded more than ten centimeters into the granite wall, his body convulsing incessantly. Yet a powerful desire to survive made him struggle, thinking of extricating himself from the wall.

But before he could make a move,

Rein took off with a flick of his toes, the ground flying up beneath him as he swiftly closed in on the wall-embedded Parix, aiming at his arms and leg joints for a series of crushing hammer blows!

“Crack! Snap! Snap!”

With each hammer blow, a joint on Parix’s body emitted a crisp sound of breaking bones, accompanied by an unnatural twist.

This was because Parix’s high-grade knight plate armor, having lost the force defense from the Great Knight himself, could no longer withstand the force of Rein’s hammer blows independently.

Each of Rein’s strikes caused severe deformation in Parix’s knight plate armor.

Now, the twisted armor had become an impediment to healing the wounds.

Seconds later, Rein stopped his assault.

He believed that even if the other was a Great Knight, he couldn’t endure the damage of all his limbs having comminuted fractures.

Perhaps in this world, there were ways to recover from such injury, but obviously, it wasn’t something that could be naturally recovered with just the physical condition of a Great Knight.

“Thud!”

A sound of a heavy object hitting the ground echoed.

Parix, clad in twisted and bent knight plate armor, didn’t resist this time; merely succumbing to gravity, he fell from the wall and crashed heavily onto the ground.

Parix, with the resilient vitality of a Great Knight, lay on the ground like a pile of mud, his body still twitching continuously. Of course, this was thanks to Rein not attacking his organs and head.

Rein walked over slowly, squatted down, and said in a deep voice next to Parix, “Perhaps it’s time I send you on your way.”

“However, I’m quite interested in what you said about someone wanting to take me down through you.”

“If you cooperate, I’ll let you depart without pain soon, so you don’t have to suffer any longer.”

Parix strained to raise his head, took a look at Rein, and started to laugh, his smile mad, scornful, and meaningful…

That’s when Rein suddenly heard sounds of a fight at the end of the street; looking up, he realized that the burly man was trying to escape, but had been surrounded by the Night Watchmen.

“Catch him!”

“Don’t let him get away!”

“He’s with the guy lying on the ground!”

…

Although the man’s skills indicated he was a seasoned knight, his morale overwhelmed, he was intercepted by a group of Night Watchmen.

Rein stood up and walked toward him, seemingly slow but actually covering ground quickly, and after a few strides, arrived in front of him. It took only one punch to send him half a meter into the air. Following that, he curled up on the ground in a kneeling position, retching violently.

If the boss won’t talk, perhaps it’s time to start with the underling.

However… a Great Knight is a notable figure wherever you go, which is why Rein hadn’t killed him outright.

In less than half a minute, Rein learned the identity of the burly middle-aged man from the underling’s confession.

“Huh? You’re saying you’re from the Zaral rebellion? And this… this is your new Meister in charge, General Parix?” Rein asked with a raise of his eyebrows.

“Yes… my lord…” the burly man answered with an expression of intense agony, holding his belly and managing to speak.

Rein observed his demeanor and seemed to realize the man wasn’t lying.

A general?

That sounded like no lowly position…

Just as Rein was about to ‘inquire’ further about this General Parix, two familiar figures approached rapidly with a large group of Night Watchmen clad in black leather armor.

“Viscount Hamadi, Lord Hamilton.” Rein looked surprised. Hamadi’s appearance here wasn’t strange, given a serious security incident had occurred in the County Town.

But theoretically, Hamilton should have been engaged in battle with bandits in Flashgold Town; how did he also end up in the County Town all of a sudden?

“Baron Rein, it seems you’ve already thwarted your enemy’s attack.”

Viscount Hamadi looked around and, seeing only two people, added, “The main force of the enemy has likely not arrived yet; we need to remain vigilant!”

“Indeed! Rein, I learned from one of the bandit leaders who attacked Flashgold Town that the mastermind behind their operation, the Zaral rebellion, would strike County Town.”
