Chapter 426: Chapter 207: I Guess He’s Pretty Much Done For! (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_3

“Myarco is your daddy or what!!”

With a ‘slap,’ another blow landed on the back of the head!

“Didn’t you see that bastard eventually couldn’t beat him and used us as human shields?”

“Sea God Sect… damn it, a few years ago without them, we had it much easier in these waters, pah!”

“Hurry up, before they come back, let’s retreat to the sea.”

“Boss, what if Myarco goes back and says we didn’t follow orders, what then?” The burly man finally came to his senses, this time, not even adding the word ‘sir’ for the other party.

“Him?”

“I reckon he’s as good as dead!” Jack recalled the expressionless young man, his face growing stern with a hint of fear as he spoke.

“Move it! Leave everything! Get back to the ship quickly.”

Captain Jack waved his hand and took the lead, and more than twenty pirates immediately followed suit, rushing toward the seashore.

—————–

By the special task force’s carriage.

A white seagull descended rapidly and circled around Vinica before alighting on her arm, seemingly receiving some information. Her brows furrowed as she said:

“Eh, Lord Reine has deviated from the original route, he is now racing towards the seashore.”

“Hmm? Has he encountered some situation?”

Mary’s expression couldn’t help but change slightly.

“The white seagull told me that Lord Reine is chasing a man in black, both moving very quickly,” said the girl with bouncing twin ponytails, turning her head to Mary.

After a moment’s thought, Mary voiced her assessment:

“I see… It seems quite likely that Lord Reine has stumbled upon some big fish.”

Having witnessed Reine’s speed, anyone who could escape from his grasp must be extraordinary. Among the pirates, such an individual would naturally be a big catch.

Only, she feared that there might be some sort of trap, luring Reine into it. If that were the case, it would be bad.

“Major Mary, should we immediately go to help?” the girl asked eagerly.

After all, what excitement was there in merely being a messenger compared to engaging in battle herself! That’s what the girl thought.

“Wait a bit, if Lord Reine needs help, I’m sure he would send a message through the white seagull to you, wouldn’t he?” Mary replied calmly.

“That… should be the case…” said the girl, somewhat disheartened.

…

—————–

Meanwhile, Reine and Myarco’s chase continued.

Although Myarco’s giant pincers were shattered and his octopus tentacles had been cleanly severed, rendering him not lightly wounded, his legs were uninjured. Therefore, in his frenzied flight, Reine for the moment could not quite catch him.

However, Reine was not in a hurry since it was unlikely that Myarco could maintain such a desperate fleeing pace indefinitely. It should be only a matter of time before his energy drained, slowing him down.

Indeed, a few minutes later, Myarco’s speed began to slacken, and Reine did not hesitate to add a point to agility.

With the remaining attribute points going from 5→4, his agility went from 22 points to 23 points.

Instantly, a warm current pumped vigorously from his heart, sweeping away all the soreness and fatigue from Reine’s muscles in the blink of an eye!

“Swoosh!”

A deep, bone-deep gash appeared on Myarco’s back shell!

This made Myarco jump in fright, and when he looked back, his eyes bulged!

He saw Reine getting closer and closer!

How could this be possible?

His own energy was depleting so much, but dammit, the other guy seemed just fine and was getting closer and closer.

Myarco’s heart sank!

Suddenly, a hidden cave appeared in front of Myarco.

The cave was just big enough to fit a person, probably the burrow of some small bear species.

Myarco’s eyes lit up as he came up with an excellent idea!

That Reine was skilled with two-handed weapons, and whether it was the Two-Handed Warhammer or the Dual-Handed Greatsword, Myarco had just experienced firsthand that both were of very high caliber!

Dammit, who knows how that kid trained!

But in this narrow cave, if he dared to charge in, his two-handed weapons would hardly be able to swing freely, thus most of his combat power would naturally be wasted!

Hehe!

In that case, not only did he no longer need to run away, but he might even have the chance to turn the tables!

“Swoosh!”

Myarco plunged headfirst into the cave.

Reine slowed down slightly at the mouth of the cave.

He quickly scanned around the entrance, determining that this was not a trap prepared in advance by Myarco, but more likely an animal’s den, and also dashed into it.

At this moment, he also surmised why Myarco would willingly enter a ‘dead end.’

“Boom! Boom!”

The two started to exchange blows quickly within the narrow cave!

Having put away the Glimmering Greatsword early on, Reine was now fighting the completely exhausted Myarco with his bare fists.

While the Kadar Martial Arts at level 5 could not execute secret techniques nor completely dominate Myarco in skill, one shouldn’t forget that Reine was at his peak physical condition after just adding the points!

Nothing beats the strength of youth!

Every hit of his gauntlet-covered iron fists was heavy and powerful. In such cramped quarters, it was nearly impossible for the opponent to dodge, leaving no choice but to trade blows.

Each time the shattered giant pincers defended, it was tantamount to Myarco suffering agony akin to childbirth!

Minutes later.

…

Reine emerged from the cave, dragging the barely alive Myarco by one leg!
