Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 2048: Chapter 2050: Worse Alive Than Dead

Chiang Qing was the mastermind and planner of the kidnapping, and she has already been caught. The authorities will take care of her in due process, and privately, those who need to know, already do.

On Ning Ge’s side, Cheng Su took advantage of some free time while making porridge at home to call him and explain the whole process, just to put his mind at ease.

”Jiaying sprained her ankle these past few days, so I’ve been taking care of her and haven’t visited. Sorry about that.” Ning Ge said, ”Since Qi Taiguo has returned, you have your main support now. I won’t be flying over to check on you, so please convey my regards to your mother-in-law and husband.”

”Is Jiaying okay? How did she sprain her ankle?” Cheng Su asked with concern.

”Trying to show off, running while wearing ten-centimeter heels while holding my son in an escape plan!” Ning Ge snorted, acting annoyed, but he had a resigned affection on his face.

Cheng Su laughed, ”Isn’t this your chance to get closer to her and your son? Make the most of it, patients are at their most vulnerable, it’s the perfect time to show your warm charm. It’s a great chance to earn extra points!”

”Oh, please.” Ning Ge chuckled and continued, ”Now that Chiang Qing has been caught, you can finally relax! Don’t worry, even though she’s still alive, it’s as if she’s dead!”

At this point, everything Chiang Qing had, including human and material resources, was gone. If she could still turn the tides, it would be a true failure on our part!

”That’s exactly what I mean. Judged by the law, she’ll go to prison. With her kind of personality, who knows how she’ll be treated in there?” Cheng Su recalled the terrifying stories of prison life and thought about the Shen Family and her adulterous partner, ”What about Bi Xiaojin? How is the Shen Family handling him?”

”Dead!”

”What?” Cheng Su shuddered, ”The Shen Family that...”

”Who is Shen Rong? He’s a big shot, making waves for decades. At his age, he’s been betrayed and cuckolded. Do you think he would take that lying down? Once it’s known, he won’t be able to show his face in the underworld again.” Ning Ge laughed softly, ”As for how that man died, there’s no need to ask. It wouldn’t have been a good end. Even Jiang Tian is now missing. So, you see, Chiang Qing is no exception. Only if she’s found can she sneak through life, and if found, she’d just be unlucky. No matter what happens to her, Shen Rong won’t let her off.”

This means Chiang Qing is already in hell. Whether she’ll suffer terribly is just a matter of time!

Cheng Su sighed, ”It feels like everything in the past few years has been a bit surreal, like a dream.”

The dream here seemed so real and yet not real. Years of entanglement, the grievances and grudges between families, all seemed like a script where everyone played their role, and in the end, the villains never met a good end!

Is this what they mean by evil not triumphing over good?

”Alright, the major threat is eliminated. From now on, just live a happy life!” Ning Ge said with a smile.

”Mm.”

Cheng Su hung up the phone, sat on the sofa lost in thought for a while, and only remembered she was still making porridge when she heard noises from the kitchen, quickly jumping up and running to the kitchen.

As for Ning Ge, he also stood up, hands in pockets, looking at the blue sky outside the window and let out a long sigh.

Everything settled down, it was over, and everyone returned to their rightful places.

There was a knock on the door, and he called out for entry, it was his secretary saying Mr. Cong Dang wished to meet him.

Ning Ge was taken aback, someone showing up now, he let them in, and Cong Dang’s first words when he saw him were, that they’ve found the killer named Mi Shaoan!
