Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 2041: Chapter 2043: I’ve Been Waiting for You for So Long

Qi Taiguo felt someone glaring at him. He halted his running footsteps, looked up, and directed his gaze towards the line of sight.

Someone stood atop a high building, looking down at him from above. He squinted and even saw her smile.

Chiang Qing!

This relentless woman!

Cheng Su ran up, panting, and seeing him look towards a certain place, also looked over and was startled: ”Chiang Qing!”

Chiang Qing waved at them, then turned around and quickly appeared in their view again, this time with an extra figure, Mother Qi.

Mother Qi was being dragged by the collar by her, her head drooping, seemingly powerless, leaning to one side, her state of life or death unknown.

Cheng Su gasped, covering her mouth with both hands: ”It’s Mother-in-law!”

Qi Taiguo was furious beyond measure, his heart aching to death; that’s his own mother!

”Chiang Qing, let go of my mom, take it out on me!” Qi Taiguo shouted at her with all his might.

”Alright.” Chiang Qing shouted back, pretending to push Mother Qi off the building.

Mother Qi let out a sharp scream, making Chiang Qing laugh with glee.

Qi Taiguo’s eyes were bloodshot.

”She’s still alive!” Cheng Su recognized that crow-like hoarse scream.

Qi Taiguo couldn’t afford to care about so much, hurriedly running up, Cheng Su following behind.

”Taiguo, she only wants me!” Upon reaching the second floor, Cheng Su stopped Qi Taiguo.

She glanced around the empty muddy room on this floor, her gaze landing on some water bottles and chairs. Is this the place?

Qi Taiguo looked at her.

”We can’t recklessly go up there; who knows what she might do!” Cheng Su pulled him, coming to the window on the second floor, looking up towards the rooftop above, thinking whether it’s possible to climb up barehanded.

Qi Taiguo said: ”It’s no use; we are already in her line of sight. Not appearing together would only make her suspicious. We can only try to delay until the Chief’s men set up properly!”

He patted himself down, finding himself weaponless; being on vacation, he had no knife, let alone a gun!

At that moment, he really wanted to end Chiang Qing.

”Then later...” Cheng Su was a bit flustered. Mother Qi was in Chiang Qing’s hands, who knows what else she had planned, hopefully not a bomb setup, that’s both outdated and terrifying.

”Act according to the situation!” Qi Taiguo said.

Cheng Su took a deep breath and nodded.

The two walked out together, Qi Taiguo holding her hand again, said: ”Susu, no matter what happens later, you must believe in me, okay? Believe that I truly love you!”

Cheng Su held her breath slightly, saying: ”I know!”

On the rooftop, Chiang Qing held a syringe against Mother Qi’s neck, looking at the entrance. Seeing both people appear, she sneered.

”Finally, you’re here. I’ve been waiting a long time!” Chiang Qing sneered, whispering into Mother Qi’s ear, ”Your son is here, look quickly.”

Mother Qi opened her eyes slightly, as if seeing Qi Taiguo, her son, becoming clearer, really clearer, Taiguo is here!

”Tai...” Mother Qi struggled, the sound from her throat like coarse sand being ground, hoarse beyond measure, her muddled tears streaming down.

Taiguo, sob sob...

Qi Taiguo clenched his fists, itching to rush over and kill that woman.

He stepped forward, Chiang Qing saw his reaction from his face and shouted: ”Stop, or I’ll inject her.”

Qi Taiguo paused, his gaze falling on the syringe in her hand.

”This is a liquid that causes sudden heart attacks. Even if you get her to the hospital, it’s no use, so don’t force me to inject her!” Chiang Qing sneered.

Cheng Su’s heart chilled, not a bomb, but syringe liquid, truly the means of a doctor!
