Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1789: Chapter 1791: A Touch of Romance

Qi Taiguo only had two days off, so tonight was the last night. After a whole day of fun, Qi Xiaoqi was tired and went to bed early. Cheng Su went to take a shower; the two of them had to indulge one more time. Who knew when they’d see each other again?

She went to shower, and Qi Taiguo said he was going downstairs to buy a pack of cigarettes.

When Cheng Su came out of the shower, Qi Taiguo was already sitting on the bed. She couldn’t help but ask, ”Didn’t you say you were going to buy cigarettes?”

”I did,” Qi Taiguo shrugged his shoulders and said.

Cheng Su replied with an ”oh,” turned around to get some skincare products, and patted them on her face. When she turned back, she was startled.

In front of her was a bright red rose, very fresh, giving off a faint fragrance.

”For you,” he said with a smile.

”Where did it come from?” Cheng Su felt both surprised and delighted as she took it and smelled it. The scent was indeed lovely.

Qi Taiguo said, ”I just went to buy it downstairs. Isn’t today the Double Seven Festival? They say it’s Valentine’s Day. During the day, I also saw people holding flowers. When I came back, the shop downstairs was selling a bucket of roses, so I bought one.”

Cheng Su glanced at him playfully, ”Not bad, understanding romance now!”

There isn’t a woman who doesn’t love flowers or romance. Qi Taiguo rarely did these things, so Cheng Su was very surprised.

Seeing her smiling eyebrows, Qi Taiguo thought to himself that she indeed liked it; he hadn’t guessed wrong. He said, ”I’ll give them to you all the time in the future.”

”Thank you, darling!” Cheng Su opened her arms and hugged his neck, puckering her lips to kiss him.

Qi Taiguo also wrapped his arms around her waist, and then kissed her, whispering ambiguously, ”Tonight, still in the bathroom?”

”You’re so annoying!” Cheng Su pushed him away, playfully scolding.

Qi Taiguo pounced toward her, pinning her down, and their lips met. The two entwined together.

In the bathroom or not?

Because of a single flower, Qi Taiguo coaxed the beauty into taking a bath with him; naturally, they also got carried away in the bathroom. But that wasn’t enough because it was their last night. They let themselves go a bit, indulging freely. The bed creaked intermittently for half the night.

”I really can’t bear to part with you,” Qi Taiguo said, holding his wife tightly, his chin brushing her head.

Cheng Su couldn’t bear it either and said, ”What if I bring Xiao Qi to the island to stay with you after I graduate next year?”

Qi Taiguo was stunned for a moment and said, ”A short stay would be nice, but not a long-term one. Life on the island can’t compare to the city; it’s much worse. You’d have to go to the city for many things. It’s too hard. I can’t bear to see you two suffering.”

”Don’t you want us all to be together?” Cheng Su looked up and asked.

”I do, but I don’t want you to suffer. Xiao Qi is young, and I can’t bear to see him suffer. Living on the island for too long would even affect your skin. I also can’t bear it. Plus, once you graduate, you’ll still have so many businesses to manage. How convenient would that be on the island?” Qi Taiguo said, ”You can come to Guangcheng. I’ll try to save up my vacation days and go back to Guangcheng whenever I can. After all, it’s only three hours from Zhu City.”

”That’s what you say, so don’t blame me for not staying with you then!” Cheng Su poked his firm chest.

Qi Taiguo held her hand and kissed it, saying, ”I won’t blame you.” Then added, ”I’ll also work to earn more military merit and transfer back as soon as possible. Wait for me.”

Hearing the urgency in his voice, Cheng Su said, ”My son and I will wait for you, but as you work hard, make sure you stay safe. Your life is the most important!”

”Yeah.”

As she yawned, Qi Taiguo checked his watch. It was getting late, so he said, ”Sleepy? Let’s go to sleep.”

Cheng Su responded with a soft goodnight, holding him tightly. Not fearing the warmth, she nestled into his arms and fell into a deep sleep.
