Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1785: Chapter 1787: Must Have a Son to Rely On

A woman needs a son to rely on, Chiang Qing realized this deeply. Don’t be fooled by her being quite favored as the Third Mistress right now, all she has aside from some money is the so-called affection. When she really needs rights with substance, she actually has nothing.

Take wanting to teach that Ning Ge a lesson for example. She doesn’t have anyone dependable at her disposal; she supposedly has Chen Gang to help her, but he only gives lip service and always says he has to check with the old man first for anything she asks.

What use is someone like that?

But as for the first and second wives? She knows they all have trusted confidants to help handle some matters.

That’s the difference.

And what’s the biggest difference?

It’s not having a son. No matter how much Shen Rong favors her, it’s limited. He won’t stand entirely on her side, especially when it involves family interests. Her so-called grudges and venting, in his view, can all be brushed aside.

It’s all because of not having a son. If she did, it wouldn’t be like this!

”Mom said, since you’re already with him, you’d better hurry up and have a son. Otherwise, at his age, without even a daughter, when he passes away, you’ll be left with nothing!” Chiang Tian lazily slumped on the sofa in Chiang Qing’s hotel suite, speaking.

A son, everyone knows about needing a son, but it’s strange that despite not using birth control with Shen Rong, she has not become pregnant.

Could it be that her forced abortion last time damaged her body?

Chiang Qing’s face paled slightly, subconsciously touching her belly.

”Hey, I’m talking to you, why aren’t you responding!” Chiang Tian frowned.

Chiang Qing, in no good mood, glared at him and said, ”Once you’re done talking, just leave. I want to rest!”

Chiang Tian’s face darkened: ”You aren’t mad at me, are you? I’m here kindly passing on the message...”

”You came for money!” Chiang Qing said, her face dark. ”How many times have I told you to go to rehab? You didn’t listen. Do you want to get arrested or die?”

Chiang Tian glared, ”We’re not talking about me; we’re talking about you. Do you think your current situation is great?”

Without waiting for Chiang Qing to respond, he continued, ”Shen Rong is almost seventy, though he’s wealthy, old is old. Who knows when he’ll pass away? If he suddenly dies, you, the childless Third Mistress, will be consumed by his two wives and their group of kids, not leaving even a scrap? Our family might as well be like before, but that’s not the case now. If you don’t gather enough money, what will you do in the future?”

Even he finds it difficult.

Chiang Tian’s words may be crude, but each one is reasonable. If Shen Rong suddenly dies, she, the Third Mistress without anything, might be kicked out of the Shen Family immediately.

Coming out with nothing, what can she do? She lacks power, lacks money, and talks of revenge and justice? Even seeking help requires money!

The Shen Family members are not easy to deal with.

Understanding is one thing, but not being able to conceive is another. Who wouldn’t think she’s anxious?

”Got it, stop talking, it’s annoying. Leave already!” Chiang Qing hurried him, impatient.

Chiang Tian had no choice but to stand up and said, ”Mom asks you to visit her. When can you go? She’s aged a lot and endured hardships inside. You can ignore Jiang Conghe, but Mom hasn’t treated you badly. Spend some money and make her life easier, okay?”

Chiang Qing sneered, ”What, a junkie wants to talk family sentiment with me now?”

Chiang Tian suddenly became angrily embarrassed, ”With such a cold heart, no wonder you can’t have a son!”

”Get out!” Chiang Qing shouted.
