The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1446: Chapter 1446: Nathalie Has Already Arrived at the Imperial Hotel

”What a coincidence?” Celine Tucker couldn’t help but feel disappointed. She really wanted to enlist Evron Barness’s future support for Caryn Zachmann, but it turned out he had something to do: ”I thought Mr. Barness could come this time, but I didn’t expect he had to return.”

”Yeah, I can only say the timing is too coincidental, nobody expected Mr. Yapiter to suddenly catch a cold, hit by the night breeze, and got sick.”

Hendrik Zachmann also felt a bit of regret as he spoke in a low voice, then laughed: ”It’s okay if he can’t come. I invited some people from Maybelissa to come over and play, and two of them are able to make it. They should arrive later.”

Celine Tucker and Caryn Zachmann couldn’t help but show expressions of surprise and delight.

Hendrik Zachmann glanced around, stopped talking to them, and turned to ask Leonardy Zachmann: ”Dad, why haven’t I seen Uncle and them?”

He still didn’t know that Leonardy Zachmann didn’t invite Nathalie Quinlan and the others.

Leonardy Zachmann’s expression became somewhat awkward when asked, unsure how to speak: ”Your Uncle and them are busy, they might not be able to come.”

Hendrik Zachmann knew they had recently been having a hard time with Uncle’s family.

He thought Leonardy Zachmann had invited Uncle’s family, but Stanley Zachmann had declined and didn’t want to come.

He took a deep breath, took out his phone, and pretended to make a phone call: ”I’ll call Nathalie Quinlan and ask if she’d like to come.”

”It’s just a meal, it won’t take much of her time. If I talk to her nicely, she might be willing to come.”

As soon as Hendrik Zachmann said this, neither Leonardy Zachmann, Celine Tucker, nor Caryn Zachmann dared to contradict him.

But neither Celine Tucker nor Caryn Zachmann understood why he cared so much whether Nathalie Quinlan came to the dinner or not.

Only Hendrik Zachmann himself knew whom he had seen outside the City Hospital half a month ago!

He dialed a number, and when he heard the mechanical female voice from the phone, he remembered that Nathalie Quinlan had long since blocked him.

Hendrik Zachmann had a headache, pondering how to contact Nathalie Quinlan.

*

On the other side, Nathalie Quinlan had just gotten off the car and was walking step by step towards the Imperial Hotel.

She had not walked far when she received a call from someone.

Nathalie Quinlan glanced at the caller ID.

It was from Valencia Jett.

She lifted her eyes to look at the steps of the Imperial Hotel, then slowly answered: ”Hello.”

Recently, she had been busy with school matters and had some free time.

Her sleep quality had improved significantly.

Her voice was no longer as hoarse as before; it was lazy, as if she wasn’t much interested in the surrounding things.

”Nathalie, where are you?”

Nathalie Quinlan glanced at the big road and didn’t respond.

The cheerful and lively voice of Valencia Jett came from the other end of the phone: ”I’m up, do you want me to drive over and pick you up?”

Nathalie Quinlan tapped her phone with her fingers, her eyelids drooped, and her dark lashes fell, hiding the recklessness in her eyes. She answered casually: ”No need, I’m already outside the entrance. Which room did Khendy Lordon book? Is there a spot? Send me the location.”

”You’re there?” Valencia Jett said incredulously, immediately suggesting: ”Hold on, I’ll have him send the location to you.”

Nathalie Quinlan hung up the phone.

She put one hand in her pocket, put her earphones in, and continued walking towards the Imperial Hotel.

The cast on her right hand was already removed; it was just a minor bone fracture, not enough to hurt her muscles or bones, so the doctor didn’t bandage it.

Her injured hand, apart from being temporarily unable to lift heavy things, didn’t really affect her daily life.

Khendy Lordon’s location information quickly came through.

Nathalie Quinlan opened WhatsApp, used the red dot on the location he sent, and went in search.
