The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1440: Chapter 1440: Very Similar to the Supplements You Gave Me

Grinning from ear to ear, afraid that Nathalie Quinlan wouldn’t spend money: ”You go ahead and look. Whatever you like, let Grandpa know, and I’ll take you to buy it.”

”Okay.”

Mr. Zachmann was worried she might just say yes and then not reach out to him. After thinking it over, he added, ”If you see something you like, take a photo and send it to me. I can either buy it for you or transfer the money via WhatsApp.”

Nathalie Quinlan felt a sudden warmth in her heart, as if a warm stream was flowing through it. She nodded earnestly at him again: ”I know, if there’s something I like, I’ll definitely tell you.”

”That’s good, don’t forget.”

Mr. Zachmann was very satisfied.

Just at that moment, he noticed Nathalie still peeling an orange for him. Recalling a phone call he had received not long ago from Leonardy Zachmann, he hesitated for a moment, then quietly told the girl, ”A lot has happened in the family while you’ve been away. Your cousin Caryn... she joined the Pharmaceutical Association.”

Caryn Zachmann joined the Pharmaceutical Association?

Since when did the entry requirements for the Pharmaceutical Association become so low?

She remembered the Pharmaceutical Association being notorious worldwide for its rigorous selection criteria back in the day. Could it be that she hasn’t been paying much attention to it in recent years, and the standards have dropped?

Nathalie raised an eyebrow but continued peeling the orange with lazy nonchalance: ”Congratulations.”

Seeing her reaction, Mr. Zachmann thought she might be too young to understand the status of the Pharmaceutical Association, so he explained, ”You might not be aware of the situation with the Pharma Association. You know your mentor, Mr. Avalon, right?”

”Mhm.” Nathalie finished peeling the other half of the orange, placed all the segments on the fruit plate, wiped her fingers clean with a napkin, then looked up at Mr. Zachmann and calmly said, ”I know.”

Only then did Mr. Zachmann continue, ”Mr. Avalon is already legendary in the country, and he’s one of the honorary presidents in the International Medical Organization. Even with his stature in the medical world, he only has membership eligibility in the Pharma Association. You can imagine how hard it is to get in.”

”I was very surprised that your cousin could join the Pharmaceutical Association this time.”

Mr. Zachmann’s tone was a bit heavy, and he looked at Nathalie: ”But since she can get into the Pharma Association, Nathalie, what about you? Do you have any thoughts?”

Nathalie raised an eyebrow, seeming not quite sure what he meant by ’thoughts’?

Mr. Zachmann rubbed his temples, realizing he might have made the situation sound too serious, then smiled gently at her and said, ”I’m not saying you should also find a way to get into the Pharma Association. I mean you’re studying medicine too, so joining an organization might give you more support.”

”Mr. Avalon has connections in the medical organizations. Why not try signing on with a domestic medical organization for now?”

Nathalie roughly understood what he meant.

But she wasn’t very interested in honorary titles, so she shook her head and declined Mr. Zachmann’s kind offer: ”I don’t want to join any organizations for now. If I need to in the future, I’ll consider it then.”

Seeing that she was indeed not interested in joining medical organizations, Mr. Zachmann didn’t press her.

He switched to another topic, his gaze landing on a box on the table. He suddenly remembered something, then smiled and said to Nathalie, ”By the way, there’s something else.”

Mr. Zachmann picked up the box, handed it to Nathalie, and gestured for her to take a look: ”See if this little pill looks like the health supplement you gave me.”

Hearing him say that, Nathalie’s temples throbbed, a slight headache coming on.

Yikes, could it be what she’s thinking?
