The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1407: Chapter 1407: It’s Not That They Don’t Have Time, They Just Couldn’t Be Bothered with Them

Mrs. Fisher finished speaking and discreetly tugged at her son, hinting for Zayn Fisher to invite Nathalie Quinlan.

Zayn Fisher was stunned for a moment, his handsome face showing a complex expression, and he softly invited, ”Yes, Nathalie, it’s my mom’s birthday. You should come and have dinner with us.”

Ghania Quinlan’s face changed drastically; she was shocked and angry, to the extreme, almost breaking her nails clenched in her palm.

Emilia Sullivan’s face didn’t look good either.

Nathalie Quinlan pulled the hood of her sweater up, noticing their suddenly worsening expressions, and smirked disdainfully, speaking lazily, ”No time.”

Her refusal was concise and straightforward!

Zayn Fisher, Mrs. Fisher, and their group looked somewhat awkward.

Mrs. Fisher, unwilling to give up, wanted to persist a little longer.

Just then, a swift figure squeezed in past them.

”Miss Quinlan.” Simon Cadwell brushed past his assistant, greeting warmly with a full smile: ”What a coincidence, I didn’t expect to meet you here.”

”What a coincidence.”

”Yes, very much so.” Simon Cadwell grinned broadly, his attitude towards Nathalie Quinlan nearly reverential. He rubbed his hands while smiling brightly: ”I heard earlier about you coming to McKinney for a competition. I had planned to meet you at the airport, but couldn’t find out your flight details...”

”Have you eaten?” Simon Cadwell was much more natural than Mrs. Fisher, he glanced at Nathalie Quinlan’s plastered right hand, then quickly looked away, cheerfully saying: ”Since I ran into you, if you haven’t eaten, might I have the honor to treat you to a meal?”

He spoke watching the girl’s reaction carefully and added: ”Mrs. Tucker is also inside, we’ve reserved a private room here.”

Mrs. Fisher and her group’s faces turned green.

Simon Cadwell and Adelia Tucker, they were people they had eagerly invited before.

Needless to say about Simon Cadwell, after Juan Wilmar’s fall, Simon Cadwell was a prominent figure in McKinney.

The Tucker Family was one of the top families in McKinney.

But whether it was Simon Cadwell or Adelia Tucker, both parties refused their invitation in unison, saying they had no time that day.

Looking at it now, did they really not have time?

They had planned all along to have a meal with Nathalie Quinlan, they just had no interest in dealing with them!

Mrs. Fisher felt utterly humiliated, as if she had been slapped across the face, seeing stars and struggling to breathe.

She was observing Nathalie Quinlan’s reaction.

Nathalie Quinlan lifted her hand, glanced at the descending elevator, then looked at Simon Cadwell with a rather irritated gaze, speaking in a normal tone: ”I’ve eaten, maybe next time.”

”You’ve eaten...” Simon Cadwell showed a somewhat disappointed expression, but quickly perked up, bowing with a smile: ”Alright. I’ll wait for you to have time.”

”Mmm.” Nathalie Quinlan answered lazily, seemingly agreeing.

Simon Cadwell had been waiting at the hotel specifically to make an impression on Nathalie Quinlan, to get familiar. Not only did he achieve that, he also received a commitment from her. What more could he ask for?

Simon Cadwell revealed a satisfied smile, laughing aloud: ”Then Miss Quinlan, I’ll wait for your message. Let me know when you have time, and I’ll be available.”

’Ding’.

Just then, the elevator chimed; the elevator doors opened.

Nathalie Quinlan, holding her insulated container, nodded in acknowledgment to him and walked into the elevator, never glancing in Ghania Quinlan and Emilia Sullivan’s direction.

Not until the elevator doors closed.

Mrs. Fisher and Zayn Fisher never found the chance to speak to Nathalie Quinlan.
