The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1428: Chapter 1428: Ghania Quinlan Is Finished

All her attention was focused on Nathalie Quinlan because she knew that only if Nathalie said to let it go could this matter be resolved lightly.

She looked eagerly at the girl, showing a mother’s gentle side for the first time, speaking softly.

”Nathalie, she did wrong, and I apologize to you. Can you not hold it against her?”

Emilia Sullivan finished speaking and then turned her head to look at Zayn Fisher, saying anxiously, ”Mr. Fisher, say something for Ghania.”

”You know what Ghania is like. She just got confused for a moment. I will definitely educate her well when we get back. You’re Ghania’s boyfriend. Say something for her.”

Zayn Fisher was as stiff as a stone, utterly unable to move. He tried to speak several times, and finally, faced with Emilia Sullivan, he only managed to say one sentence: ”Auntie, if Nathalie hadn’t prepared a backup hard drive in advance this time, do you know what kind of consequences Ghania’s actions would have caused?”

Nathalie would have been embarrassed on the competition stage.

Then she would lose the competition!

But the issue is, Nathalie was not competing as an individual; she was representing the country on stage!

”What she did this time was too much, and I can’t speak for her.” Zayn Fisher turned his head away, his voice deep and firm.

Emilia Sullivan’s face showed despair, yet more of it was incomprehension at his ruthlessness.

In her eyes, Ghania was just a child, and even if she did something wrong, she should be forgiven.

Amadeus Yancey stood up at this moment, walked to the girl’s side, and softly asked her, ”How do you plan to deal with her?”

Who she was, was self-evident.

Amadeus Yancey couldn’t even be bothered to call Ghania Quinlan by name, directly using ”her” to refer to her.

Nathalie Quinlan felt quite agitated, mainly because Emilia Sullivan was making her head hurt, but she didn’t hesitate, succinctly explaining her final decision: ”Not much, just call the police, hand it over to them.”

”Call the police?”

Amadeus Yancey raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise on his composed face, seemingly not expecting Nathalie to decide this way.

”...Calling the police might be too lenient for her.”

He meant that he could make things worse for Ghania than being imprisoned.

But Nathalie pulled the sweater hood, shook her head, her eyes cold and agitated, her voice quite hoarse: ”You don’t understand Ghania, calling the police is enough for her.”

Originally, Amadeus Yancey did not wish to let the other party off so easily; at the very least, he wanted Ghania to pay with a hand. However, he respected any decision Nathalie made.

He immediately looked at Alfred Garland on the opposite side, instructing him in a deep voice, ”Call the police.”

”Alright, Amadeus.” Alfred Garland, though standing at a distance, vaguely heard the conversation between the two, just not clearly what Nathalie and Amadeus Yancey had said.

Now hearing Amadeus Yancey telling him to call the police, he also believed this was the best way to handle it.

Alfred Garland immediately picked up the phone and made the call.

”Hello, Mr. Cadwell...”

...

Of course, Ghania Quinlan heard Amadeus Yancey telling someone to call the police, as well as the sound of Alfred Garland making the call.

She hadn’t expected Nathalie Quinlan to call the police directly, stunned for a second, then realized, her fair face turning pale with fear.

Emilia Sullivan was also terrified, shouting loudly: ”Nathalie, what are you doing! Why are you calling the police...”

She was trying to rush over to confront Nathalie.

However, Amadeus Yancey stood up at this moment, walked over, and blocked her path.

The clear eyes narrowed slightly, his voice calm yet deep: ”Mrs. Quinlan, if you take one more step, I guarantee Ghania’s outcome will be worse than now.”

”...”

His single sentence caused Emilia Sullivan to freeze, not daring to act rashly.
