Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 471: Chapter 471: Vicious Mother-in-Law 17

”Mom, look at Lingzi, her eyes keep darting to the men at the educated youths’ area.”

Not far away, Wang Cui, who was pulling sesame plants, pointed at Ma Xiangling, who was in charge of bundling them, and said slyly, ”Mom, you need to watch Lingzi carefully. Our family can’t afford any scandals.”

Yuan Chun glanced at Ma Xiangling and saw her fangirling over a spectacled, scholarly-looking young man among the educated youths.

Yuan Chun walked over and smacked her on the back of the head, ”You silly girl, what are you looking at? Get to work! If you don’t earn six work points today, don’t even think about eating.”

With Yuan Chun supervising, Ma Xiangling didn’t dare slack off, let alone glance at the male youths.

By the end of the day, Ma Xiangling earned six work points.

After work, Yuan Chun went up the mountain. As it got dark, she returned with a six or seven-pound wild rabbit on her back.

Yuan Chun instructed Ma Laoer, ”Laoer, you skin the rabbit. Laoer’s wife, boil some water and start cooking.”

Wang Cui grumbled, ”Mom, the eldest sister-in-law doesn’t even go to work now. Shouldn’t she be doing the chores?”

”Slap, slap, slap...”

Yuan Chun went over and slapped Wang Cui’s face several times, ”You lazy woman, when I ask you to do some work, you always find excuses. When the household chores were all done by the eldest daughter-in-law and her daughters, why didn’t you suggest sharing the work then?”

Tears welled up in Wang Cui’s eyes, but she dared not speak out.

However, after tasting the delicious braised rabbit, Wang Cui suddenly felt that as long as her mother-in-law made sure there was meat to eat every day, doing a bit more work might be worth it.

One day, while Yuan Chun was pulling sesame plants, 007 suddenly reported to her, ”Host, your third daughter-in-law is leading a large group from her family here to settle scores with you. They’re at the village entrance now.”

Upon hearing this, Yuan Chun quickly asked the team leader for half a day off and headed home.

At the doorstep, she bumped into Wang Yingying and her group.

Yuan Chun glanced at the ten or so men behind Wang Yingying and scoffed, ”Third son’s wife, what are you doing bringing so many men home? And where’s the third son? Why isn’t he with you?”

”You wretched old woman, give me back my money!”

Seeing Yuan Chun, Wang Yingying charged at her like she was seeing an enemy, attempting to grab her hair, but Yuan Chun kicked her away.

”Unfilial daughter-in-law, dare to attack your mother-in-law? Aren’t you afraid of divine retribution?” Yuan Chun cursed as she walked over, grabbed Wang Yingying’s hair, and slapped her face several times.

”Ah, ah, ah... You wretched old woman, how dare you hit me... I’m gonna fight you. Big brother, second brother... hurry up and help...”

The group of men rushed in to help.

Yuan Chun picked up a stick and started beating them, knocking down all ten or so men from the Wang family, who lay on the ground groaning.

”Mother-in-law, how... how do you know martial arts?” Wang Yingying was dumbfounded.

She had brought so many brothers from her family to retrieve the money stolen by her mother-in-law. But who was going to tell her why her mother-in-law was this formidable?

Wang Yingying regretted it.

If she had known her mother-in-law was so powerful, she... she wouldn’t have dragged her ten or so brothers into this.

”Mom, spare them, please stop hitting them, it’s all the daughter-in-law’s fault. It’s the daughter-in-law who wanted to bring them here.” Wang Yingying knelt, crying and pleading.

Yuan Chun kicked her and said, ”Get lost... as far as possible. Next time you dare bring people to destroy my home, I’ll have the third son divorce you.”

”I won’t dare anymore, mom. I’ll never dare again,” Wang Yingying cried out.
