Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 467: Chapter 467: Malicious Mother-in-Law 13

”The allowance that the eldest earned before, I spent it all on the third, supporting his studies, getting him a job, marrying a wife, spending thousands of yuan. Now that the eldest has lost a leg, the third must give some money to the family, or else the family won’t be able to get by.”

Yuan Chun wiped her tears while lamenting the family’s difficulties.

After conveying all the news she wanted, Yuan Chun finally carried an empty basket and went upstairs to the second floor.

Ma Laosan lives on the second floor of the tube-shaped apartment. When she reached Ma Laosan’s door, Yuan Chun took out a key, unlocked the door, and went inside.

If you ask why the original owner has the key to Ma Laosan’s house, it’s because the original owner often came to the county town to deliver vegetables and eggs to the youngest son. With no one home, the original owner had to go to the factory to ask someone to open the door. Ma Laosan found it troublesome, so he left a key with the original owner.

The original owner cared deeply for Ma Laosan, which made Ma Laosan trust and feel comfortable handing over the key.

And this made it convenient for Yuan Chun.

After entering the house, Yuan Chun went straight to Ma Laosan’s room and started rummaging through boxes and cabinets, putting the fabric, cotton, soap, snow cream and the like accumulated by Wang Yingying into the basket.

Then, using spiritual power, she found Ma Laosan’s money.

To say Ma Laosan and Wang Yingying share the same trait, they love money and counting it. The couple’s earnings were too precious to save in the bank and were hidden inside an old cotton jacket in a box.

From time to time, the couple would take the money out and count it several times.

As a result, Yuan Chun picked up that old cotton jacket and said, ”This jacket looks almost right for me to wear, so I’ll take it.”

She didn’t tell Ma Laoer there was money inside.

Of course, Ma Laosan’s couple’s money wasn’t just hidden there; there were over a hundred yuan and some bills in the cupboard.

It should be the couple’s pocket money kept outside.

Yuan Chun didn’t care whether Ma Laoer and his wife had anything left to spend; she hoarded it all for herself.

When Ma Laosan came home from work and heard about his mother’s visit, he hurriedly brought food from the canteen and rushed back.

Upon seeing him, Yuan Chun gave him an earful of grievances and then told him, ”Now the family has no money at all. Over the years, I haven’t asked your wife to submit your salary, but the family hasn’t split yet, so don’t think about saving private money. I’ve taken your money. From now on, you both hand over your salaries to me, and just keep twenty yuan for your family of four.”

”Also, the family now has your brother’s mouth to feed. Your sister-in-law will have to take care of your brother and can’t earn work points in the fields, so the family will get less grain. You shouldn’t come back for grain and eggs anymore. The eggs and chickens must be left for your brother’s health. The amount of grain the family gets in the future won’t be enough to eat. If we give you some, everyone else will be hungry. Besides, your family of four all have city registration and your share of food rations. You’re sure not to finish all your grains, so when you have extras, bring some home.”

The series of bombs from the old mother left Ma Laosan stunned.

After a long time, he regained his composure and angrily said, ”Mom, how could you steal my money while Yingying and I were not home... ah...”

Ma Laosan was kicked flying by Yuan Chun and landed heavily on the ground.

Yuan Chun said expressionlessly, ”What do you mean, stealing your money? I’m your mother; we haven’t split the family yet. That money is family money. I’m just taking the family’s money; how does that count as stealing?”

”I haven’t even reprimanded you yet. Clearly, you both saved so much money, yet every time you came home, you cried poor to me, saying the salary wasn’t enough, deceitfully asking me for money.”
