The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Wang Ya had his own ambitions.

The best things were the ones you created yourself.

Relying on the discoveries of others would always leave one a step behind.

Only by standing on the shoulders of giants and innovating could a Wizard progress and attain greater Power and substance.

This was how the civilization of the Wizard World had always advanced, constantly pushing forward.

Wang Ya spent a few more minutes thoroughly checking the building’s interior. Finding nothing else, he left and gently closed the main door.

He didn’t take the Extraordinary Books in the study, as they were of no value to him.

He wouldn’t change anything about the Wizard Ruins, either.

’Consider it a small gift for those who come after me.’

He wasn’t stingy in this regard.

[Preliminary Analysis Successful: This Special Particle Energy is ’Wind Shadow Particle Energy’.]

[Details: A Special Particle Energy created by a being known as the ’Wind Shadow Wizard’. It possesses extremely formidable power.]

[Property Transformation: Wind Shadow Particle Energy embodies the sharpness and speed of the Wind. Anything caught in its path will be instantly disintegrated. It can directly tear apart common Low-tier Witchcraft. It can inflict a more severe drain on an enemy’s Particle Energy, continuously breaking it down.]

A trace of shock appeared on Wang Ya’s face. ’So this is the Special Particle Energy developed by an Official Wizard. It really lives up to its reputation.’

The Particle Energy alone could achieve effects comparable to some Low-tier Witchcrafts.

Wang Ya couldn’t even begin to imagine the results if he were to use this Particle Energy to cast a related Wind Element Particle Energy Witchcraft.

The power would undoubtedly multiply.

In terms of value, it was in no way inferior to the core legacy of any Extraordinary Faction.

If he advanced to an Official Wizard and used these Particle Energy research notes, he could even establish a new Extraordinary School.

This was arguably the most valuable item Wang Ya had obtained to date, aside from the golden pocket watch and the Evil God’s Heart.

Wang Ya had already witnessed the power of the White Bone Particle Energy.

It seemed that Wind Shadow Particle Energy was a natural counter to White Bone Particle Energy, but without a direct confrontation, no one could know if it could actually disintegrate and slice through it.

The only slight drawback was that Wang Ya’s own Witchcraft leaned toward Fire Element Particle Energy.

Still, with a bit of creative application, it could be a significant help.

Wind fuels fire. If he could integrate its unique properties into the development of his Fire Element Particle Energy’s property transformations, he might even achieve some special Effects.

If all else failed, Wang Ya could also use some scientific theories from his past life to try and develop it.

The Eye of Truth could analyze the probability of success.

As for a deep analysis, Wang Ya was currently unable to perform one.

His two analysis slots were occupied, one by the in-depth refinement of the Flame Demon Wizard Stream.

The other was for analyzing the eighth Wizard Rune of the Dream-Recalling Meditation Method.

He would have to wait two more months.

...

”Thank you for your help, Master Wizard. On behalf of all the citizens of the Black Earth Kingdom, I thank you.”

At the gate of the Capital City, the old King had personally brought a host of his children to see Wang Ya off. His eyes were rimmed with red, a clear sign that he had been told certain things.

Among his children, Bai Gang stood at the very front.

Judging by the smile on his face, he had likely gotten what he wanted.

Knights brought forth trays laden with gold and silver treasures, rare and peculiar gems, and old artifacts.

For the Mortal Nobility and royal families, even though they knew Wizards helped them solve their problems free of charge, the proper gestures still had to be made.

Whether the Wizards accepted the gifts was secondary; what mattered was the attitude behind them.

Wang Ya nodded slightly and gave the items a cursory glance as a faint blue light flickered in his pupils.

His eyebrows twitched. He’d actually spotted a special little trinket.

With a slight twitch of his finger, an item from a tray flew directly toward him.

Harak, who had been soaring high in the sky, immediately dove down, activating the Ability of the Infinite Blood Core and transforming into a Flying Griffin.

The resulting gale and blast of air forced the surrounding mortals to stumble back several steps, their eyes wide with fear at the sight of such a behemoth.

Only mysterious and powerful Wizards could tame such a monster.

”We bid you farewell, Master Wizard.”

...

Upon returning to the Dark Land, Wang Ya first went to the Library’s first floor to report the completion of his mandatory task.

He then went to the Resource Management Department and withdrew all his accumulated resources.

For the foreseeable future, he planned to devote all his energy to his Wizard Experiments and wouldn’t be accepting any more Wizard Tasks.

Of course, mandatory tasks were unavoidable and would still have to be completed.

However, he could use the excuse of being at a critical stage of his research to postpone them for two to five months.

”I guess that guy isn’t all that. And here I thought he was going to cause some huge stir again.”

Some Wizards who heard that Wang Ya Harak had returned from completing his mandatory task began to gossip amongst themselves.

At the instigation of certain individuals, their words created a minor stir.

There were even some baseless, negative rumors spreading about him.

”This is so bizarre. What are these rumors about? They’re completely baseless. They’re slandering Wang Ya,” Mona sent to Mas and Gray via the Darkness Mark.

Mas replied, ”Something’s not right. Anyone with half a brain knows the truth. This isn’t like Wang Ya at all.”
