The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

[Blood Wizard Klau]

[Task Level: A (Original: D)]

[Details: The cause of Blood Wizard Klau’s death was deemed suspicious. An investigation by the Dark Land’s outstanding Wizard and Child of the Dark, Wang Ya Harak, has uncovered the truth: A Level 3 Wizard Apprentice from the Natural Ring Tower forcibly occupied Celestial Wings Wizard City, replacing the identities of the City Lord Mansion Wizards and Law Enforcement Wizards. These actions were exceptionally heinous and caused great losses to the Dark Land. The Natural Ring Tower has violated the pact of the Land of Mountains and Seas and must be strongly condemned. The Dark Land will pursue further accountability and, if necessary, launch a targeted conquest of the Wizard City.]

[The Child of the Dark, Wang Ya Harak, performed exceptionally on this task. He remained composed in the face of a powerful enemy. After deliberation by multiple parties, the following rewards are granted to Wang Ya Harak: Ten Thousand Magic Stones, 1,000 Dark Points, and one opportunity to select a High-tier Knowledge from the Land of Inheritance.]

[Addendum: Blood Wizard Klau also made significant contributions to the Dark Land. A special reward is granted: Magic Stones...]

Wang Ya’s expression showed little surprise. Since it was an A Level Task, he figured the rewards would be about the same as the last task involving the Evil God.

As for S Level tasks, it wasn’t just about difficulty; a task also had to provide a significant benefit to the Dark Land itself to be rated as such.

It wasn’t even out of the question for a task to be upgraded directly from A Level to S Level.

The opportunity to select a High-tier Knowledge was the most useful reward for Wang Ya. Coincidentally, he had more or less mastered his current set of Advanced Extraordinary Knowledge.

When it came to the Advanced Extraordinary Knowledge for Dream Wizards and Elemental Wizards, no one in the entire Dark Land likely understood it better than he did.

His creation of the Flame Demon Witchcraft Stream and numerous miraculous Dream Witchcraft techniques were proof enough of that.

Wang Ya mulled it over and decided to give his style of Dream Witchcraft a name. ’I’ll call it the Nightmare Witchcraft Stream.’

「Inside the Antuun Clan’s estate.」

”I will absolutely never go out with Wang Ya Harak again! Father, not even you can make me do it!”

”I lost at least eighty percent of my Puppets! Even the powerful Puppet I had just finished making was lost in there. A secondary Puppet is practically another body for me, and finding a suitable special human to make one is incredibly difficult...”

Zack Antuun was reporting what had happened during the Wizard Task to Kaze Antuun, complaining nonstop. He all but stated outright that he wanted Magic Stones and resources.

When he found out the Wizard Task Level and rewards had been changed, he almost turned green with envy.

’It was so unfair!’

Thinking back on what happened in Celestial Wings Wizard City, he realized he was the one who had suffered all the losses and shouldered all the pressure. Zack Antuun’s lip twitched; his heart ached at the thought of his lost Puppets. It was all because of that bastard, Wang Ya Harak. He had screwed him over time and time again, and Zack had fallen for it every single time.

’No matter what, even if it kills me, I’m never following Wang Ya Harak again!’

When Zack mentioned the female Wizard from the Natural Ring Tower, Kaze Antuun’s expression changed noticeably.

He stood up from his chair and set down his cup, the liquid inside not even quivering. ”The Black Wizard you mentioned is no simple character. She is a member of the Natural Ring Tower’s ’Spirits of Nature.’ It’s a position similar to the Child of the Dark in the Dark Land, reserved only for the best and most powerful Wizards within a Wizard Influence.”

”If nothing unexpected happens, she will become a formidable rival for you all in the future.”

A look of astonishment flashed in Kaze Antuun’s eyes. ’A Spirit of Nature who’s a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice... that’s equivalent to the strongest of the Level 3 Wizard Apprentices in the Dark Land... For him to have grown to the point where he can contend with a Wizard of such Power... his progress has been a little too fast.’

Kaze Antuun’s mind was in turmoil. ’Even I would have to use a few tricks to deal with Rilis,’ he thought.

However, this was a good thing for the Antuun Clan.

After all, they were currently allies in a mutually beneficial relationship.

If Wang Ya Harak could become an Official Wizard, it would be far better for the Antuun Clan than securing a Child of the Dark title for themselves.

Kaze Antuun took a Wizard Card from his Wizard’s Ring and tossed it to Zack Antuun. Just as a look of joy appeared on Zack’s face, he heard what could only be described as dreadful news.

”You will continue to follow Wang Ya Harak, representing the friendship of the Antuun Clan. If he has any requests that you can fulfill, help him.”

Kaze Antuun said flatly, ”The password is... There are fifty thousand Magic Stones on the card, as well as some rare Extraordinary Materials that a Puppet Wizard would need.”

As he spoke, he tossed another Wizard’s Ring onto the table.

Zack Antuun had always carried himself with pride as a Wizard, just as the Antuun Clan’s creed dictated: uphold the clan, stand tall, and carry it even further.

He used his Spiritual Power to inspect the contents of the Wizard’s Ring, and his heart began to pound wildly.

He took a deep breath, about to say something in an attempt to resist a little longer.

But Kaze Antuun spoke again, ”I will use the Antuun Clan’s connections and power to get you into the Rhine School. As for whether you can become a Heritage Wizard of the Rhine School, that will depend on your own ability to pass their trials.”
