The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Holding the book *Analysis of Dreams and Consciousness*, Wang Ya wore a strange expression, because the author of this Extraordinary Book was none other than his teacher, the Illusory Dream Wizard.

Moreover, he had studied this Extraordinary Book before. It was part of the basic Extraordinary Knowledge content within the Illusion Illusory Dream Lineage’s inheritance.

This included, but was not limited to, a series of basic Extraordinary Knowledge books like *Discourse on Lucid Dreams*, *Relationship between Multiple Dreams and Extraordinary Mental Power*, *How to generate dream power with extraordinary spiritual power*, *Dream Power Composition*, and *A Brief Discussion of the Dream World*.

Wang Ya had studied and completely mastered all of them.

Wang Ya didn’t continue flipping through it and closed the book.

Even if he kept going, he could only read about one percent of this Extraordinary Book. All the subsequent pages were blank.

At this point, he would need to use his Dark Wizard Mark to connect with the Extraordinary Book and pay the corresponding Dark Points.

The Extraordinary Knowledge within would then naturally appear in his Dark Wizard Mark.

*Analysis of Dreams and Consciousness*

[Grade: Basic Extraordinary Knowledge]

[Selling Price: 180 Dark Points]

Basic Extraordinary Knowledge started at 100 Dark Points.

Advanced Extraordinary Knowledge started at 300 Dark Points.

High-tier Extraordinary Knowledge was the most expensive, starting at a whopping 800 Dark Points.

[Current Dark Points: 5000]

If Wang Ya were to buy High-tier Extraordinary Knowledge Witch Books, he could afford eight of them.

Extraordinary Knowledge wasn’t contained in a single Witch Book. Often, it consisted of multiple Witch Books because there was too much content to record in just one.

This was also the reason for the variable prices in Dark Points.

If he got a 10% discount, Wang Ya might even be able to get one more volume of High-tier Extraordinary Knowledge.

As for basic Extraordinary Knowledge, Wang Ya didn’t need much. He had already built a solid foundation in that area from his studies with the Illusory Dream Wizard.

What he needed was Advanced Extraordinary Knowledge related to Dream Wizards.

Of course, this would only be for reference. He had also read the Illusory Dream Wizard’s Advanced Extraordinary Knowledge content, but it was far from enough.

If he wanted to research and develop High-tier Witchcraft, he would probably need to read even more High-tier Extraordinary Knowledge.

He might even have to research related Extraordinary Knowledge from other Wizard Systems.

By drawing parallels and making analogies, he might make new discoveries.

Many Wizards had achieved brilliant success in their subsequent research only after being inspired by the Extraordinary Knowledge of different Wizard Systems.

The White Bone Wizard was still the best example of this.

The Rhein Wizard also seemed to have some connection to this. It was said that both of these Official Wizards had studied the paths of Mechanical Wizards and Black Wizards.

Wang Ya: ”...”

Wang Ya flipped through several more books, all of which had reviews from the Illusory Dream Wizard. The situation was just like in his previous life, where bestselling authors would write a new book and other authors in the same field would help promote it with blurbs.

Wang Ya set these two Witch Books aside as candidates.

He looked at the other books on the shelf and, just as he expected, they were a series of Witch Books.

However, they contained different sets of Extraordinary Knowledge, not just a single discipline.

Thinking of his 5,000 Dark Points, Wang Ya confidently marked the rest of the Witch Books in this series as targets for exchange.

’Two free opportunities—one for a High-tier and one for an Advanced Witch Book. It would be a waste not to use them.’

Wang Ya planned to spend the last half hour browsing the nearby shelves to see if there was any High-tier Extraordinary Knowledge available.

If there was, he could use his free selection for High-tier Extraordinary Knowledge.

Time slowly passed. Wang Ya didn’t see any other Wizards in the Heritage Maze. He methodically went through all the Witch Books on the surrounding shelves.

When he didn’t find what he wanted, he continued deeper to search through more shelves.

...

「Deep within the Antuun Clan’s territory.」

”What? Father, you want me to get closer to Wang Ya Harak in the future? Are you kidding me?”

Zack Antuun’s voice grew louder. Even though he was facing his respected father, he couldn’t hold back.

Wang Ya Harak was the opponent he had sworn to defeat.

It had almost become an obsession for him.

His tone was laced with anxiety. ”Father, what’s wrong with you? We’re members of the Wizard Family Alliance. There’s no need to be afraid of a Wizard from a School Lineage! So what if he’s a Heritage Wizard? I’ll defeat him sooner or later.”

”Once my Puppetry Witchcraft masters a higher level of Puppet creation, even Wang Ya Harak will be no match for me.”

The room was dim, with only a few lit candles illuminating the darkness.

Hades Antuun sat at the side of the long table, watching the argument between his younger brother and his father without saying a word.

As a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice, his defeat at the hands of a Level 2 Wizard Apprentice was a disgrace he had brought upon the Antuun Clan, causing them to suffer shame and significant losses.

He had already lost the right to express his own opinion.

His entire demeanor was downcast, even dejected.

Kaze Antuun’s brow furrowed. He spoke with a severity he had never used before, ”This is not the time for you to act on emotion. Don’t you understand the Antuun Clan’s situation?”

”We failed in the Secret Realm competition, and the Antuun Clan suffered a loss. We failed again in the Battlefield, and now the Antuun Clan’s situation is extremely grim.”

”Now, a new opportunity has presented itself to the Antuun Clan. We must seize it. We can’t afford any more mistakes.”

Kaze Antuun’s voice was low. ”Zack, if you want the right to speak your mind, you must first have the confidence and Power to back it up. But in my opinion, you do not have that Power yet.”

An aura befitting an Extreme Wizard Apprentice erupted from Kaze Antuun, flooding the entire room. It made Zack and Hades turn pale with terror as they looked fearfully at their father.

Only when the room fell completely silent did Kaze Antuun retract his aura.

’Have I been too lenient?’ he thought. ’So much so that even my own sons feel they have the right to talk back and defy me.’

Hades asked quietly, ”Father, what is this new opportunity for the Antuun Clan that you mentioned?”

Kaze Antuun didn’t speak. He simply opened his right hand, revealing a black badge imbued with an ancient air.

Hades’s pupils contracted. He stammered, unable to be certain, ”Is... is that...”

Zack’s face was also a mask of shock.

Kaze Antuun said, ”That’s right. This is the Black Sun Badge.”

The auras of both Zack and Hades flared up instinctively, and Particle Energy began to radiate from them.

Kaze Antuun used his own aura to forcibly stabilize their emotional states.

”But Father,” Hades Antuun said, suppressing the shock in his heart and unable to stop himself from asking, ”didn’t you say the Black Sun Badge was in Wang Ya Harak’s hands? We already lost the Battlefield, so why do you have it?”

Zack also looked on, desperate to know the answer.

”Wang Ya Harak has reached a temporary alliance with the Antuun Clan. Having you get closer to him will be beneficial for the clan.”

Kaze Antuun explained the situation. ”This includes all proceeds from this Black Sun Badge, which will be split evenly between the Antuun Clan and him.”

Hades was stunned, still processing the information he had just heard.

Zack Antuun’s expression, however, turned stormy as his thoughts seemed to drift to other matters.

”This alliance actually has many benefits for the Antuun Clan. It’s equivalent to a long-term investment. That’s also why I want you to get closer to Wang Ya Harak.”

’We’re part of the Wizard Family Alliance,’ Hades thought, ’but we’re forming an alliance with a Heritage Wizard from a School Lineage... What is Father planning? This is a betrayal of our own...’

Hades didn’t dare to think any further. He only felt that the situation was far more complex than it appeared.

’Or is there some other reason?’ As Hades looked at Kaze Antuun, he found his father’s gaze meeting his.

But that gaze was profound, like a deep pool of water, so cold it sent a chill to the bottom of his heart.

”The clan is the clan, and the Alliance is the Alliance. Some things need to be kept separate,” Kaze Antuun said suddenly, his words cryptic.

Zack returned to his room and slammed the door shut. He leaned his back against it, taking a deep breath, his expression complicated.

Wang Ya Harak was his rival, the enemy he was determined to defeat.

How could he be willing to get close to him? And on what grounds...? Zack knew that Kaze Antuun’s decision was irreversible.

But he was just not resigned to it. Get close to Wang Ya Harak? ’Am I really inferior to him?’

Even if his Power couldn’t compare right now, it didn’t mean he didn’t have the ability to catch up and then surpass him.

On the other hand, there was the clan’s influence and the terms of the signed Wizard Contract... Zack Antuun sighed. No matter how unwilling he was, he had no choice.

However, the thought of defeating Wang Ya Harak only grew more intense in his heart.

...

When Wang Ya came out of the Heritage Maze, he didn’t see the Heritage Wizard. The counter was empty.

He didn’t pay it any mind, his thoughts completely absorbed by the Extraordinary Knowledge he had purchased.

He had spent a total of 2,000 Dark Points.

Wang Ya had also used his opportunity to choose a piece of Advanced Extraordinary Knowledge.

As for the free selection for High-tier knowledge, Wang Ya had saved it. The reason was that there was no High-tier Extraordinary Knowledge on the surrounding shelves; it was likely organized into different areas.

The area of the Heritage Maze he was in was a low-to-mid-tier section.

He would just have to consider his choice the next time he entered the Land of Inheritance.

A smile hung on Wang Ya’s face. His gains this time were truly significant.

It wasn’t just about being a Dream Wizard. If he could understand all this Extraordinary Knowledge, it would also be a great help to the Eye of Truth’s analysis of the ’Flame Demon Witchcraft Stream’.

It was more than worth the price.

Upon returning to the Illusory Dream Tower, Wang Ya immediately used the Eye of Truth to collect all the Extraordinary Knowledge from his Wizard Mark.

He could clearly feel a change occurring in his pupils.

An icy blue sensation radiated from them.

The Eye of Truth was undergoing another transformation.

The most direct change was that the time required to analyze the ’Flame Demon Witchcraft Stream’ had been reduced to about 20 days.

This was a pleasant surprise.

The analysis time for the ’Dream-Recalling Meditation Method’ had also been shortened to one day. He would probably be able to inscribe the Sixth Wizard Rune by tomorrow night.

His neurons could be further developed.

His Dream Power would also increase accordingly.

And that went without saying for the Particle Energy boost provided by his Spiritual Power.

This improvement was all-encompassing.

Time quickly passed, and the next day arrived.

Wang Ya was also on the verge of a breakthrough with his ’Dream-Recalling Meditation Method’.
