The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

However, Wang Ya had no use for it at the moment.

Wang Ya hadn’t finished exploring the Three-Layered Space. This was his first time in the Inner Space Sea, and besides this area, there were also desert and volcanic regions, each with their own unique Traits.

Every Wizard Tower was the culmination of Wizard Technology’s greatest wisdom, requiring ten, or even twenty, years to construct.

And that was with the aid of Extraordinary Abilities and Wizard Technology.

Teleportation Fluctuations from a Witch Array enveloped him. When he reappeared, he was already inside his Level 3 Laboratory.

The items he had purchased from Hades’ Store were all laid out on a workbench, unsorted.

Among them were items for the Elemental Wizard path, the Dream Wizard path, and others needed for Biological Cultivation and Wizard Experiments.

Wang Ya picked up the Water of Life Source. His figure then vanished, reappearing in the Magic Plant Cultivation Area.

In the rocky area, the Blood-sucking King Vine was in excellent State. Its previous injuries had healed, and the number of vines had even doubled.

Through the sense from its Spiritual Brand, the Blood-sucking King Vine knew its master had arrived. The vines, which had been still and silent while absorbing the permeating Particle Energy, began to creep toward Wang Ya one by one.

Wang Ya used his Eye of Truth to observe the Blood-sucking King Vine’s core. ’I should be able to separate the core and cultivate a few offshoots first,’ he thought.

The plant-fusion experiment with the Gendas Flesh could be tested first. If successful, the cultivated offshoots could then be grafted onto the main body to induce adaptive mutations.

This was the experimental plan Wang Ya intended to follow.

It was similar to Harak’s potential-transformation experiment, but fundamentally different; one subject was a plant, while the other was a creature of flesh and blood.

The Blood-sucking King Vine’s Life Force, survivability, and even adaptability were all far greater than those of a flesh-and-blood creature.

Of course, its mutability might not compare to that of a flesh-and-blood creature, and the time required for mutation would also be extremely long.

But the convenience lay in this very point. Wang Ya wouldn’t need to worry too much or monitor it constantly. He could let it transform naturally and simply check the results later.

Even if the experiment failed, it wouldn’t matter. The Blood-sucking King Vine’s core possessed the powerful survival Traits of a plant, and that was where the Water of Life Source came in.

It could quickly restore the Blood-sucking King Vine’s State, and even allow for more offshoots to be divided off after the first ones were cultivated.

However, doing so would further reduce its Extraordinary potential.

Wang Ya didn’t intend to do that. He would prepare two offshoots at most.

A fair, slender hand emerged from beneath his robe, the Shadow Slayer Blade appearing in his grasp. Although this Witchcraft Artifact was gradually becoming obsolete, it was quite handy as an unconventional biological Dissection Knife.

It had more functions than an ordinary biological Dissection Knife, with a tougher blade that could handle harsher environments and more troublesome types of creatures.

As for going to the Divine Blood Wizard Tower to have a Divine Blood Wizard custom-make an Extraordinary Witchcraft Artifact for him, he was in no hurry.

Wang Ya planned to seek out a Divine Blood Wizard only after he became a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice.

That way, the Grade and upper limits of the Extraordinary Witchcraft Artifact would be higher.

In response to its master’s command, the Blood-sucking King Vine, with its much simpler mind, proactively opened the flower bud in its Core Area, revealing the not-yet-fully-matured flowerets within.

Once it blossomed, the Blood-sucking King Vine would reach maturity, and its Power would be at its absolute peak.

After that, it would have two paths: either reproduce by scattering its spores, or turn inward, revert to its bud state, and self-digest the mature spores and pollen.

The latter offered a chance for it to advance to a more powerful stage.

Particle Energy flowed into the Shadow Slayer Blade. Wang Ya’s cut was so swift that when a portion of the floweret, along with some of the bud’s tissue, fell away, the Blood-sucking King Vine didn’t even react.

Wang Ya quickly took out the Water of Life Source. He held a small vial, and as he uncorked it, a peculiar fragrance wafted out, instantly capturing the Blood-sucking King Vine’s attention.

It even suppressed the violent rampage that was about to erupt as the vine sensed its own injury.

Its most primal, instinctual desire overrode everything else.

Numerous vines wrapped around Wang Ya, but not to harm him. Instead, they were like a kitten pawing at a toy, wanting the vial in his hand, yet restrained by the instinct that recognized him as their master.

Wang Ya directly poured one-fifth of the Water of Life Source onto the cut portion of the flower bud.

The Effect was almost instantaneous. As the clear liquid soaked into the flower bud, the missing portion began to regenerate at a speed visible to the naked eye.

It was the plant equivalent of regenerating flesh on bone.

The Water of Life Source possessed such an Ability and was extremely precious. This small, palm-sized vial alone had cost Wang Ya 350 Magic Stones.

Of course, this Effect was only truly potent on plants. If it were as useful for living creatures, the price would be three or four times higher.

Wang Ya ignored the Blood-sucking King Vine’s blissful sensations as Teleportation Fluctuations appeared around him once more.

「Inside the Level 3 Laboratory.」

With an infusion of Energy, the corresponding Wizard Instruments activated. The instrument in front of Wang Ya was specifically designed for the Cultivation of Magical Plants, allowing for detailed observation of their internal Transformations.

Wang Ya took the severed piece of flower bud tissue, cut it in two, and added a drop of the Water of Life Source to each half. He then placed them into two separate cultivation chambers within the Wizard Instrument.
