The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

As for the Nightmare Witchcraft Stream, the next step was to create a third Middle-tier Witchcraft.

....

「Five days later.」

Wang Ya was in his laboratory, observing the Demon Plant Sub-Body. The fusion process was slow; visually, not much seemed to have changed.

Harak’s transformation was complete.

As it landed on Wang Ya’s shoulder again, he could clearly feel its increased weight.

’It must be an increase in muscle and bone density.’

Harak’s stats had all reached the level of a High-tier Extraordinary Creature. Combined with its numerous Extraordinary Traits, it was undoubtedly one of the most fearsome top-tier Hunters.

It was fully capable of battling a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice.

The Infinite Blood Core had gained one hundred new Extraordinary Creature transformations.

’I should create an Extraordinary Creatures Ranking to record the types of Extraordinary Creatures in the Infinite Blood Core and sort them by their Power.’

The current Harak could now use its Infectious Deep Touch trait to secrete the Harak Phage, infecting individuals and transferring portions of Extraordinary Creature Genetic Fragments to them.

This allowed the infected individuals to transform into the corresponding Extraordinary Creatures.

This essentially gave Wang Ya the means to create Extraordinary combat power on a massive scale.

The only drawback was that it consumed Harak’s own Biological Energy, and the amount consumed was quite significant.

’Child of the Dark ’Wang Ya Harak,’ your designated mission has been issued. Please view it using your Dark Wizard Mark. You must address it within three days.’

[Secret of the Witch]

[Task Level: C]

[Location: Withered Wood Territory, Mountain and River Wizard City, Black Earth Kingdom]

[Details: The Black Earth Kingdom reported to Mountain and River Wizard City that a man-eating Witch has allegedly appeared in the Black Soil Forest near the kingdom’s Capital City. She has killed many Knights and Kingdom Soldiers who ventured inside, and even the Crown Prince has gone missing there. The entire Black Earth Kingdom is in a state of panic.]

[Objective: All mortals within the borders of the Dark Land are the property of the Dark Land. No one is permitted to harm the private property of the Dark Land. ’Child of the Dark Wang Ya Harak’ is requested to proceed to the Black Earth Kingdom to investigate and ascertain the situation. If a Wizard from outside the main organization is causing trouble, you are authorized to kill them.]

[Task Rewards: 180 Magic Stones, 120 Dark Points]

Compared to D-level missions, the rewards for a C-Level designated mission were much more generous.

In turn, the difficulty was also bound to be significantly higher.

It was almost certain that an individual with Extraordinary Power was involved and had caused great harm to the mortals. Mortals were the property of the Dark Land. Even if you had many bags of rice, someone taking a handful from just one bag was not allowed; it crossed the Dark Land’s bottom line.

In other words, a battle with an unknown Wizard was all but guaranteed.

Wang Ya didn’t feel any pressure. Harak had just undergone another transformation, and its Power was now in the top echelon even among High-tier Extraordinary Creatures.

He was confident he could fight a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice on even terms.

An Extraordinary Creature on par with an Extreme Wizard Apprentice would be a Beast King, a type of High-tier Extraordinary Creature. They were extremely rare, achievable only through an exceptionally precious bloodline.

As for Level 1 Extraordinary Creatures, whose power was comparable to an Official Wizard, they were virtually unseen within the borders of the Dark Land.

Perhaps such fearsome creatures existed deep within the Apollo Giant Mountain Range.

They had extremely high requirements for their natural environment and for Particle Energy.

The vast Endless Sea certainly contained such Extraordinary Creatures, and perhaps even more powerful ones.

Besides, this was only a C-Level designated mission. The appearance of a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice was highly unlikely.

[Goal: In-depth refinement and improvement of the Flame Demon Wizard Stream]

[Estimated Analysis Time: 60 days]

Since it involved High-tier Witchcraft, a period of 60 days was quite normal.

As for the Black Core and the Dream Infinite Genome, those were part of a long-term Wizard Experiment and research plan. Rushing them would be pointless.

It would undoubtedly require numerous variables for the Wizard Experiments, and the research materials would involve Extraordinary Creatures, Dream Creatures, and even the Evil God’s Heart.

The research even had geographical requirements, meaning Wang Ya might have to enter the Dream World itself to conduct his studies.

Without even notifying Kelan Wizard, Wang Ya set out on this designated mission, taking Harak with him to the Teleportation Tower.

As a white light enveloped his body, he opened his eyes again to find himself already in Mountain and River Wizard City.

This Wizard City seemed perfectly normal.

Wang Ya smiled and nodded at the City Lord Mansion Wizard who strode up to him.

After his experience in Celestial Wings Wizard City, he was now quite wary of any Wizard City not directly connected by a Wizard Teleportation Array.

’No matter how poor a city is, they have to build roads. Without roads for trade, how could a Wizard City ever prosper? Any normal City Lord would install a Wizard Teleportation Array.’

”Master Wizard from Headquarters, please register your information.”

Wang Ya placed the Dark Wizard Mark on his palm onto a special recording device.

’Same old procedure, reporting the fee for using the Teleportation Array.’

He then stepped out of the Teleportation Array area and onto the streets of Mountain and River Wizard City, taking in the atmosphere that distinguished it from other Wizard Cities.

The Withered Wood Territory seemed to be a tropical region, suitable for the growth of trees and other vegetation. On Freedom Street, Wang Ya saw many stalls selling Extraordinary Materials related to Magical Plants and wood.

Wang Ya browsed for a while. He saw plenty of good items, but unfortunately, nothing he was looking for.

In the end, he only bought a special cultivation liquid that could accelerate the growth of Magical Plants and imbue them with a ”toughness” trait.
