The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

It cost about a hundred Magic Stones.

For Wang Ya, the price wasn’t particularly expensive.

The Black Earth Kingdom was still quite far from Mountain and River Wizard City.

And it was impossible for a Wizard Teleportation Array to exist in a Mortal Kingdom.

In the end, Wang Ya found a relevant map and had Harak transform into a Flying Griffin to head toward the Black Earth Kingdom.

The Flying Griffin’s speed was immense, and of course, Harak could also transform into many other Extraordinary Flying Bird Species.

...

Meanwhile, at the Dark Land Headquarters, news about the incident at Celestial Wings Wizard City was gradually spreading.

The Wizard Clans were among the first to receive the news.

The expressions of the heads of the major Wizard Clans subtly changed when they learned that a Wizard from the Natural Ring Tower had infiltrated Celestial Wings Wizard City and replaced one of the Dark Land’s own.

They weren’t like the common, low-ranking Wizards, who were only surprised by the event and the change in the Task Level.

’The Headquarters has already sent Wizards over, so even if there are problems, they’ll be resolved quickly.’

The clan heads were concerned with the motive behind the Natural Ring Tower’s actions.

Why would they dare to openly violate the Mountain and Sea Contract?

The Dark Land and several nearby Wizard Influences were rooted in a region known as the Land of Mountains and Seas.

The Mountain and Sea Contract they had signed stipulated non-aggression among the various Wizard Influences.

By doing this, the Natural Ring Tower was dancing on a knife’s edge, challenging the Dark Land’s bottom line.

”I heard an Official Wizard has already taken several Extreme Wizard Apprentices to the border. They’re preparing to move against one of the Natural Ring Tower’s Wizard Cities in retaliation.”

”The Natural Ring Tower will have to respond soon. They can’t turn a blind eye to this. I don’t believe a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice would dare invade Dark Land territory without orders from above.”

Puni Stark’s expression was solemn, and his low voice echoed. ”The crucial question is, is there only one ’Spirit of Nature’ Rilis, or are there many more like her?”

Ocam Mad said, ”The Official Wizards have already started an internal investigation. The City Lords of the major Wizard Cities, along with some Law Enforcement Wizards and City Lord Mansion Wizards, will be returning to the Headquarters one after another in the near future.”

”And that’s just what’s happening openly. Who knows how many secret investigations are also underway. In short, we must keep a low profile for a while and strictly abide by the rules of the Dark Land. We can’t afford any violations.”

”That’s right. If anyone stirs up trouble and gets caught, they’ll have to bear the consequences themselves.”

”Exactly!”

A thoughtful glint flashed in Kaze Antuun’s eyes.

’It seems the repercussions from Wang Ya Harak’s actions are going to be huge. This thorough investigation isn’t just about finding traces of outside Wizards; it’s going to root out and deal with all sorts of illegal and disorderly conduct.’

’Looking at the gloomy expressions on most of the clan heads present... they must be sweating. No one here is clean.’

Kaze Antuun sneered inwardly. ’In any case, under my control, the Antuun Clan hasn’t broken many rules.’

But a flash of worry crossed his mind. ’Wang Ya Harak is so deep in the spotlight, drawing so much attention. The pressure that comes with it must be immense.’

’No matter how outstanding he is, he’s still just a new Wizard from this recent batch. He has enormous potential, but can he really withstand this kind of pressure?’

’If Zack were under this kind of pressure, I’m afraid he’d fall into a slump within a week. The weight of it would bring his research on the Wizard Path to a standstill.’

’And the pressure will only grow as more and more Wizards get involved.’

Kaze Antuun felt a deep uncertainty. This wasn’t a problem that could be solved with talent, comprehension, or aptitude.

It required a strength of mind and will that could only be forged through time and experience.

’If his Wizard’s Heart shatters, it will be incredibly difficult to recover.’

PS: I’ve been slacking. That’s only 12,000 characters written, with another 8,200 to go for the Chapter. I’ll keep at it.
