Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

The story of a desperate struggle for survival after a forced landing on a planet full of Thorn Insect Race, where a squad leader awakens and barely survives with the psychic transformation of the Thorn Insect Race, was completely fabricated by Chen Ming.

After several years of struggling on the Insect Race’s planet,

An Wuping finally relied on the evolved biological spaceship of the Insect Race to escape from that planet.

Niu Xin was visibly surprised upon hearing that the Insect Race had evolved a biological spaceship, confirming several times with An Wuping to ensure he hadn’t misspoken.

Could the matter of the biological spaceship be falsified?

It was a fine creation made by the mother of Chen Ming’s Insect Queen.

It was also the first step for Chen Ming’s spiritual energy to extend from the mechanical to the biological.

Niu Xin initially thought that An Wuping managed to cobble together a new spaceship using passing ships or crashed ships on the planet, but the reality was quite different from what he imagined.

After all, the concept of a biological spaceship had been proposed long ago, but due to the difficulty in manufacturing and research, as well as the lack of a decisive advantage over mechanized ships, no one pursued it.

Unexpectedly, it turned out to be realized by the Thorn Insect Race.

How did they achieve it?

Niu Xin asked, half out of mission duty, half out of curiosity: ”What exactly does the biological spaceship look like and what is its structure? How did you use the biological spaceship to escape?”

”I don’t know much about the structure, and saying I utilized the biological spaceship isn’t quite accurate, as I couldn’t actually seize a biological spaceship from the Insect Race.”

”As I mentioned earlier.”

”I survived mainly by utilizing the mutative effect of my spiritual energy, which made the Insect Race regard me as one of their own, a Worker Insect.”

”If a Worker Insect does anything to harm the entire Insect Nest, that Worker Insect ceases to have any meaning of existence.”

Niu Xin nodded understandingly and asked, ”Then how did you get out?”

”By relying on my ability to enter Superspace physically and perform teleportation.”

”What?”

Niu Xin expressed even greater bewilderment than when he heard about the biological spaceship.

His body instinctively leaned forward, moving closer to An Wuping, while Liang Fei beside him also listened intently with his mouth slightly agape.

An Wuping’s words did not sound like a joke, nor should they be a joke.

Because previously in the Cai Mo Star Realm,

outside the star system where Zuo Jing publicized An Wuping’s coordinates, some ships captured footage.

It showed An Wuping under a mutative state, traveling through Superspace, destroying any ships that dared to confront him.

And at the end of this footage, An Wuping destroyed a ship, was engulfed in the explosion’s fire, and vanished completely when the flames cleared.

There weren’t too many ships around An Wuping at the time, so only a few recorded this footage.

This resulted in the footage having incomplete perspectives, making it impossible to determine what happened after the final ship explosion.

An Wuping’s sudden disappearance, and reappearance in the Lucy Star System a few minutes later, led to many different speculations.

And now, it seems the answer has been spoken by the person involved himself.

”So how exactly was that done?”

An Wuping noticed Niu Xin’s shock and curiosity, and he teased, ”Do you know the Thorn Insect Race’s abilities?”

”I know, through consuming the tissues of other species, they quickly convert the genes of the consumed organisms into their own abilities, and the genes of different organisms can interrelate to create more powerful abilities.”

As the person assigned to interact with An Wuping, Niu Xin had naturally studied topics related to the Thorn Insect Race, so he responded smoothly.

”That is only part of their ability, and I have seen more.”

Niu Xin’s curiosity was utterly piqued, waiting eagerly for An Wuping’s continued explanation.

An Wuping slowly began to speak word by word: ”The Thorn Insect Race can build an Insect Nest on a spaceship, using their biomass to constantly erode, devour, and assimilate the ship.”

”In the assimilation process, they can utilize their flesh organs and tissues to mimic or transform into the necessary parts of the ship, gradually replacing the entire spaceship.”

”Replacing steel with flesh, this is the origin of the Insect Race’s biological spaceship.”

”The teleportation engine was also transformed.”

”So I figured out a way to acquire some of the biological spaceship’s genes, manufactured the specialized biological organs that should belong to mechanical spaceship’s special equipment, implanted them in my body, and used the teleportation organs to leave that Insect Hive Planet and return to within the Empire’s borders.”

”Is this... really achievable?”

Niu Xin truly found it hard to believe.

The Thorn Insect Race could transform a steel spaceship into a possession of their flesh,

and An Wuping was able to obtain the genes of the transformed biological spaceship from the Thorn Insect Race and install the transformed specialized organs within himself.

This is truly too surprising, too shocking, too unbelievable.

But only in this way could it explain how An Wuping disappeared from one star system and reappeared in the Lucy Star System.
