Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

”Your fleet is near a few critical star systems; you should be able to see how severe their losses are.”

”They need compensation, which is why they want to seize the power of dimension infection.”

”You’ve seen what that psychic in Zuo Jing can do once they have some power,”

”If the Fifth Legion acquires this power, they might even rely on that individual to become a legion on par with the Fourteenth Legion.”

”So they went ahead, even forbidding others from intervening, including me.”

Chen Ming still felt something was amiss because he remembered the President mentioned before leaving that he was going to handle this matter in the Cai Mo Star Realm.

If the President is temporarily putting aside his support for the Fifth Legion to attend to this matter, then either the Fifth Legion has asked the President to pause temporarily, or it is a demand from the Empire.

Upon returning, the Empire defined this matter as a rebellion, which proves the Empire summoned the President, and the Fifth Legion is undoubtedly involved.

What is the Empire’s stance then?

”Did the Empire just let the Fifth Legion proceed like this?”

”The Empire’s stance is to observe.”

The President said, ”Because now, the position of the psychic in Zuo Jing, who is mastering the power of dimension infection, has been confirmed, right in the Lucy Star System, on Yunluo Star.”

”Since the location is verified, several psychics of the same rank as Wu An and me are watching there.”

”They are confident to intervene and resolve the issue when necessary.”

”Now, this matter is beyond our capability to interfere.”

”The Empire tacitly allowed the Fifth Legion to exchange all the ordinary people and psychics on an entire planet for a power of dimension infection controlled by the Empire.”

”I don’t want to say much, but I can only say the power of dimension infection is certainly not something easily controlled.”

”The power of dimension infection is truly powerful; even if it only affects a large area without enhancing psychic effects, it still has its value for the Empire.”

”You should know that Dusk has no resistance to anything related to psychic abilities, right?”

The President pointed out something Chen Ming understood well.

For Dusk, any quality of Spiritual Stone, even those with neutral or very weak Spiritual Energy Fluctuations, would add a bunch of redundant data to the logic codes Dusk operates on upon contact.

If a psychic other than Chen Ming himself could apply Spiritual Energy Fluctuations to Dusk’s domain, that psychic could also be lethal to Dusk.

Such a psychic might solve one of the Empire’s current major enemies, Dusk.

This is the reason the Empire is willing to observe and let the Fifth Legion seize this power.

Even if Chen Ming sits on the Empire’s seat, he cannot help but seriously consider this.

Of course, Chen Ming ultimately would not gamble.

The reason is very straightforward.

”What if they fail? Don’t they understand the consequences of failure?”

The President’s mindset was almost the same as Chen Ming’s at this moment; he said to Chen Ming, ”Of course they understand, which is why they prepare capable psychics as the final insurance.”

”What if it can’t be resolved? If the psychic in Zuo Jing with brainwashing ability masters the power of dimension infection, the entire Empire might be brainwashed.”

”They said there would be a final deadline, and once it’s reached, they will act directly, not giving Zuo Jing further chances.”

”Just one sentence?”

”Just one sentence, not everyone holds awe for dimension infection.”

Chen Ming honestly couldn’t accept this situation.

If it were a usual situation, he might really have accepted it; he might even have believed the Empire could definitely solve the troubles with Zuo Jing.

But the attitude displayed by the Fifth Legion made him lose faith in them.

Along with the Empire’s side, he’s not very trusting either.

”Is there already no one who can stop this?”

The President’s words were filled with helplessness: ”Who else can come? I can’t go, Wu An can’t go, our Spiritual Ability Association has been excluded.”

”Unless you think Hu Yi can solve this issue, there doesn’t seem to be anyone in the Lucy Star System who can resolve it.”

”Has Hu Yi reached Lucy?”

”Yes, he’s been playing a double agent, and his identity still seems like Zuo Jing’s to others, but do you really want to rely on him?”

”Then let’s forget about it.”

The boss previously mentioned that when Hu Yi was impersonated by Zuo Jing for assassination attempts, he first reached out to the President, so it makes sense the President knows Hu Yi has gone to Zuo Jing as a double agent.

However, Hu Yi’s ability is concerning for Chen Ming.

His psychic abilities aren’t problematic, but for some reason, his mind always seems to fail to grasp things properly when dealing with matters.

Chen Ming seriously suspects his intelligence has been converted into entropy and used up.

Even though the boss continually guides him, the outcome doesn’t appear promising.

Anyway, Chen Ming doesn’t trust Hu Yi.

The President feels the same way.

That’s why he casually mentioned it and then pondered if there’s another way to directly solve Zuo Jing’s troubles without letting the Fifth Legion gamble on snatching power from Zuo Jing.

He quickly thought of another person.

”To be honest, there might be one person who could potentially have an impact, An Wuping.”
