Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

An Wuping’s meeting with the president ended quickly.

The doubts regarding An Wuping’s identity have basically faded away, there are essentially no problems.

After all, most of his actions have reasonable explanations.

Even if some things temporarily seem inexplicable or hard to articulate, it will surely be addressed in the subsequent Spiritual Ability Association’s investigation.

Although An Wuping’s final remarks were indeed bold, they didn’t pose any major issue.

An Wuping is the person who suppressed the greatest crisis during the Cai Mo incident.

This is a consensus shared by a majority of people.

Even if someone opposes, they are unlikely to change this outcome.

After the communication with the president concluded.

An Wuping followed Liang Fei out of the meeting room.

Once An Wuping’s inspection is over, the real event is expected to be the invitation for him to join the Audan Star Realm governmental department.

Chen Ming feels he can drop a hint beforehand, providing some groundwork for future developments and ensuring things proceed more smoothly.

An Wuping suddenly spoke to Liang Fei: ”What will you do after this matter is resolved?”

”What will I do?”

Liang Fei turned his head to glance at An Wuping beside him, not quite grasping An Wuping’s intention,

and said, ”I should go back to Audan, what else? I suppose I can take a ten-day half-month vacation, then continue the tasks.”

An Wuping nodded, his tone seemingly mixed with a little expectation, saying: ”I wonder if I’ll be able to have such a life in the future.”

Liang Fei unexpectedly turned his head fully, but just as he wanted to say something, the two of them had reached the door of their destination.

They pushed open the door.

Chen Ming saw a simply arranged yet not plain reception room.

Compared to the previous meeting room, this was clearly a more relaxed environment.

A Psychic from the Spiritual Ability Association came up to greet them.

Coincidentally, Chen Ming knew this Psychic, his name was Niu Xin.

He’s always been assisting the president with tasks, and the affairs of Cai Mo Star Realm have basically been handled by him as the president’s agent.

With Niu Xin handling it, evidently, this is a more private meeting.

After acknowledging each other.

Niu Xin led An Wuping to sit on the sofa in the reception room.

Tea was already prepared on the coffee table in front, and the tea leaves were made from Immortal Spirit Leaves.

Using Immortal Spirit Leaves to entertain, it’s clear that the Spiritual Ability Association holds An Wuping in high regard.

Seeing An Wuping seated but still looking tense after drinking the tea, Niu Xin comforted: ”We’re just chatting casually, don’t be too constrained, our Association people really trust you.”

”I can see that.”

Chen Ming could, of course, see it since not only the president showed no overt expressions regarding An Wuping, but Chen Ming’s side has always held a friendly attitude towards An Wuping.

Niu Xin, seeing An Wuping’s lack of reaction, continued to express concern: ”You seem to be in poor spirits, did the earlier battle wear you out too much, do you need some rest?”

”Not for now, let’s start directly. The sooner we start, the sooner I can have some real rest time.”

”Alright.”

Niu Xin was naturally pleased to see An Wuping’s attitude.

He personally refilled a new cup of tea for An Wuping, held up a terminal asking: ”Could you tell us where you were during your missing years? What happened?”

”It’s a long story, let’s start from an insect egg.”

”Insect egg?”

”That’s right.”

Once this ”That’s right” was spoken, Chen Ming smoothly began crafting a story.

Anyway, in the fake identity background he had created earlier, that defunct security company indeed has records of a batch of employees going missing abroad with no traceable clues at all.

Moreover, among the missing were key figures of the security company, whose disappearance led to the complete disintegration of the company, making it absolutely untraceable as the years went by.

Thus, no matter how Chen Ming crafts the story, as long as the logic holds, there’s no issue.

Although that security company never had anyone named An Wuping.

As long as the story doesn’t have An Wuping interacting with the main group from the security company, it is fine.

Arbitrarily make up a reason that An Wuping separated from the main group due to unexpected circumstances and had no contact.

Even if the actual circumstances of that company are uncovered by someone, Chen Ming can still come up with excuses to explain.

Based on this foundation, Chen Ming also plans to include the Insect Queen in the story.

This can explain An Wuping’s Spiritual Energy, saying it was stimulated by the Thorn Insect Race leading to the awakening of Spiritual Energy, enabling him to morph into the Thorn Insect Race.

This approach has another advantage.

When the Mechanical Race war starts and the Empire discovers the planet near the Mechanical Race Star Realm that has been entirely transformed into an Insect Nest by the Insect Queen, Chen Ming can disentangle his relationship with this planet, drawing attention more onto An Wuping.

Helping Chen Ming’s main body disperse unnecessary attention.

Chen Ming could even selectively reveal some abilities related to the Insect Queen, further enhancing the believability of his fabricated story.

More people would truly believe the story he concocted is real.

Just like that.

A security company group went to a planet outside the Empire for security work.

Then a critical member of the company unexpectedly encountered the Insect Race during an external task resulting in the destruction of the entire ship.
