Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Shortly after An Wuping’s shuttle boat left the atmosphere of Yunluo Star.

A formation of three frigates from the Fifth Legion appeared in front of the shuttle boat.

They demanded the shuttle boat to slow down and submit to their inspection.

Even though An Wuping’s current ship bore the insignia of the Audan Star Realm, and even though Liang Fei had received permission from the Fifth Legion to enter the planet, they still had to be inspected.

This was an additional special requirement from the president for checks on all Psychics leaving Yunluo Star, emphasizing the inspection of ships from the Audan Star Realm.

He couldn’t let An Wuping, who might survive by chance, leave freely.

As long as An Wuping’s movements could be restricted, a Psychic with ability but no background was at their mercy.

Of course, it must be stated that it was to prevent the spread of dimensional infection to avoid leaving a pretext.

Moreover, the ships coming to intercept were not necessarily meant to stop the Audan shuttle boat on the spot.

They just needed to delay a little while and wait for other ships in the fleet to arrive.

Once more ships or cruisers arrived, An Wuping wouldn’t be able to leave even if he wanted to.

Liang Fei here certainly couldn’t agree to the Fifth Legion’s demands.

An Wuping had already explained some situations to him when the ship was ascending into the atmosphere, and obviously, the Fifth Legion didn’t care about An Wuping’s life.

An Wuping couldn’t be discovered by the Fifth Legion now, or who knows what tricks they might play on him.

Moreover, Li Weiqi’s condition is also a problem now.

Although An Wuping stabilized Li Weiqi’s injuries through surgery.

But An Wuping had only performed simple surgery in an extremely harsh environment.

An Wuping also suggested it would be best to find an appropriate doctor for further examination.

Liang Fei certainly wouldn’t let the Fifth Legion delay here.

But speaking to a few small soldiers in the Fifth Legion was meaningless, so Liang directly contacted his superior by phone.

”Boss, the Fifth Legion is blocking us from leaving.”

Liang Fei didn’t deliberately avoid An Wuping, allowing Chen Ming to also hear the voice on the other end of the phone: ”What’s going on exactly?”

”We have picked up the person, and while evacuating, Li Weiqi was injured by dimensional infection. An Wuping helped stabilize the injury, but Li Weiqi is still not out of danger. We must leave immediately.”

”Understood.”

The other end of the phone responded hurriedly, and then the sound of several people busying themselves could be heard.

Chen Ming could vaguely hear them seemingly planning to seek help from the president.

But the president had just been unable to get through to the Fifth Legion earlier, so whether it would work was uncertain...

Chen Ming thought for a moment and decided to call the president on the Fourteenth Legion’s side as well.

A few minutes later.

Li Sheng, who was at the Offensive Level, received two simultaneous messages.

One message was that his subordinates had found a ship from the Audan Star Realm, suspected to have An Wuping on board, and were already pursuing it.

The other message was from his superior, ordering cooperation with the Spiritual Ability Association to allow the Audan Star Realm’s ship to pass.

Li Sheng’s fleet had to allow the Audan Star Realm to send Psychics seriously injured by dimensional infection out, into the hands of the Spiritual Ability Association, who would also handle the dimensional infection issue for everyone on the ship.

This message clearly stated that, even if there were other people on board, they were all to be handed over to the Spiritual Ability Association, and the Fifth Legion must not interfere.

Li Sheng couldn’t sit still. He also took out his terminal to contact his superior, asking: ”Why give this order now?”

”This is an order from the Empire, not my order.”

”Don’t do unnecessary things.”

Li Sheng understood.

This was the result of the president of the Spiritual Ability Association.

The Audan Star Realm had already established contact with the Spiritual Ability Association, relying on An Wuping, and it was normal to seek help in an emergency.

And the president of the Spiritual Ability Association had previously had his calls to Li Sheng rejected, learning about their underhanded actions against An Wuping when they couldn’t win him over.

So this time, he directly contacted higher authorities.

The president of the Spiritual Ability Association really does have the power to take people from the Fifth Legion.

After all, the technology for detecting dimensional infection was originally developed by the Spiritual Ability Association.

Thus, it was a reasonable demand in the eyes of the Empire to ask for An Wuping, a person who had survived two dimensional infections.

Imposing some not-so-excessive compulsory requirements on the Fifth Legion was nothing at all.

Although there’s a saying that goes, when the general is abroad, the orders of the emperor may not be obeyed in emergencies.

But now the situation was entirely controlled, with only the final clean-up left.

Not complying with such an order would mean showing no regard for one’s superiors or the Empire.

Li Sheng could only darken his face and instruct his subordinates to let the Audan Star Realm’s people pass.

After An Wuping’s shuttle boat escaped the encirclement of dozens of surrounding ships and began to accelerate again.

The proxy of the Fourteenth Legion ended the communication with the president.

Initially, Chen Ming came with the intention of confirming the president’s attitude towards the Audan Star Realm, planning to call coincidentally when the president was sought for help to indirectly confirm.

But since the president’s attitude was so clear, he didn’t say much more, only listening in silence.
