Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

The role of feathers【Fathers, the order of the last two chapters was wrong, it has been corrected. Some of you might have seen a chapter full of attribute data. It’s fixed now, apologies.】

......

While running, Lin Feng vaguely felt as if a pair of eyes in the sky were watching him. He looked up and discovered that a plane, spewing black smoke, was crashing down towards him from high above.

”Damn it!”

Lin Feng cursed and ran in another direction. However, the next moment, a massive force struck, instantly sending him flying.

Lin Feng, flung through the air, only managed to stop after smashing through three streetlights.

A trickle of blood also flowed from the corner of his mouth, but under his self-healing ability, his injuries were rapidly recovering.

He couldn’t win, simply couldn’t win.

Lin Feng also decided not to continue using attribute-enhancing potions; doing so would only make the opponent even stronger.

Now, he could only run for his life. The Cleaner’s various attributes were all superior to his, so even with danger perception, Lin Feng found it very difficult to dodge close-range attacks.

Boom!

With a loud bang, the plane crashed where Lin Feng had been, and the rolling airwaves once again knocked Lin Feng over.

But compared to the Cleaner’s punch just now, the airwaves generated by the plane crash were nothing.

It was just that Lin Feng’s clothes were ruined, with only his boots still intact.

At the same time, due to the plane’s impact, the road was damaged, revealing the drainage system below.

Upon seeing the drainage system, Lin Feng immediately had a good idea to escape the Cleaner, though it might be a bit disgusting.

After storing his boots in his System Space, Lin Feng activated his liquid ability, flowing into the sewer and merging with the sewage inside. Although it was disgusting, it allowed Lin Feng to successfully escape, and Lin Feng, in liquid form, would not have his attributes reduced.

So his speed was still just as fast, but he might have to travel a longer route.

The navigation on his Positioning watch (positioning watch) also transformed into a string of data in Lin Feng’s vision when he activated his ability.

And it even very thoughtfully switched from linear distance to sewer navigation.

Following the route on it, Lin Feng could successfully reach the location. The distance would definitely be much longer than before, but there was no other way; for safety, he could only try this.

”Damn it, this isn’t safe either!”

Lin Feng’s heart rate accelerated again after swimming in the sewage for only a short while.

Behind him, a gigantic shark had appeared at some unknown point.

What the hell, a shark suddenly appearing in the sewer??

Clearly, something was wrong!

Lin Feng immediately drew his gun and shot at the shark. As expected, the shark didn’t die; it was like a projection, and the laser bullet passed right through it.

However, the shark’s speed didn’t seem to be able to catch up to Lin Feng, only able to trail far behind him, and the Cleaner’s figure was nowhere to be seen.

”What a great opportunity!”

Lin Feng thought to himself, and his swimming speed became faster and faster.

An hour later, Lin Feng had swum one hundred and thirty kilometers in the sewer, successfully reaching the target location marked by the System.

Coincidentally, this was also a sewer.

However, this sewer had nothing but a pile of trash.

”Ding, congratulations to the host for completing the mission. Rewards have been issued.”

”What does that mean?”

The System shouldn’t just be making him simply arrive at this place, right?

Lin Feng frowned and looked at the trash pile in front of him.

Suddenly, his gaze was drawn to a grayish-white object.

”Feather?!”

Lin Feng ran to the trash pile in ecstasy, grabbing the feather in his hand, and at the same time, scanned it with his scanning gun.

It was indeed an unknown feather.

Just then, the space around Lin Feng twisted, and the Cleaner suddenly appeared.

Just as Lin Feng was preparing to flee for his life, the other party did not look at Lin Feng.

”Strange, why did it suddenly disappear?”

The Cleaner waved his hand, and the shark that had been following Lin Feng disappeared. The next moment, the Cleaner also vanished from his original spot.

Lin Feng, standing beside the Cleaner, showed a look of understanding.

So, this feather can block the Cleaner and the consciousness of this world, huh?

What about the old man Qin An mentioned?

This should be that old man’s safe house.

However, Lin Feng didn’t see any sign of a person.

After the Cleaner left, Lin Feng took out his battle armor and repaired it, then scanned the area with his life detection radar. Similarly, there was no trace of human life.

There wasn’t even any sign that humans had ever been here.

【To explain, after the safe house was exposed, the Cleaner came and reset this place to its original state. Due to the feather’s special nature, only the feather remained.】

Just then, Lin Feng thought of something: could that old man already be dead?

After putting the feather into his pocket, Lin Feng took out his phone and opened the Elevator chatroom app. To be honest, if there were any other way to contact Qin An, Lin Feng would not communicate with Qin An through the chatroom.

Lin Feng: 【Anzi, do you know the exact location of that old man’s safe house?】

After the message was sent, Qin An didn’t reply, perhaps he was exploring the floor. Lin Feng wasn’t anxious either. He took out a pile of clothes from his System Space, threw them on the ground to act as a mattress, and lay down.

”They should have told me earlier that this feather’s function was to block the consciousness of this world. Why did I have to run so hard?”

Lin Feng, who was carefully admiring the grayish-white feather, suddenly frowned. A very brief memory appeared in Lin Feng’s mind.

This memory was a pitch-black scene and an aged voice.

”If you received this memory, it means you have found the feather. I don’t know what the function of this feather is, but it is definitely related to the path to the real world. The feather can prevent you from being found by the Cleaner. Keep it safe, then leave here. I searched for a very, very long time, until I was about to die of old age, only to find that the entrance back to the real world is not on Blue Star. I have committed suicide. Please find the way back for me.”

This voice was left by that old man. In fact, he had a total of two feathers; the other one he secretly gave to Qin An, and this one he left here, waiting for the arrival of the next Seeker.

The reason he did this was actually out of concern that Qin An might die unexpectedly and the feather would completely disappear, so he left a backup plan.

However, the old man did not know that ten feathers needed to be collected; otherwise, he would have given both feathers to Qin An.

After listening to this message, Lin Feng couldn’t help but think of the Polar Mountain Range on the permanent floor. Could that be the entrance to the real world?

Just then, his phone vibrated slightly.

There was almost no signal in the sewer, so the only way for Lin Feng to receive messages was through the Elevator’s chatroom.

He opened it and, sure enough, it was Qin An’s reply.
