Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Resurrection of the eldest and second brothersAn hour later, news quickly spread that the town’s government office had been reduced to ruins by a Gold Core Stage Cultivator using magic, and no one had survived.

There were countless versions of the story; some said that the Gold Core Stage Cultivator merely pointed a finger and razed the entire government office to the ground.

Others claimed that the immortal who destroyed the government office rode a flying dragon and incinerated the entire building. Even more absurdly, some said Lin Feng directly pulled the sun from the void and used its energy to flatten the government office.

Actually, it’s no wonder these commoners were so imaginative, as they had never witnessed a Gold Core Stage Cultivator before.

The highest-level Cultivators they had ever encountered were merely at the Foundation Establishment Stage.

News of the Gold Core Stage Cultivator destroying the government office quickly reached the Cloud Mountain Sect.

After all, they were the only cultivation sect in the vicinity.

Inside the Sect Hall.

Several middle-aged men sat together, discussing the matter of this Gold Core Stage Cultivator.

Gold Core Stage Cultivators were not particularly common; a Cultivator of this level could even become an Elder in the Cloud Mountain Sect.

And the cultivation levels of these middle-aged men were all at the early Golden Core Stage.

The Sect Master of the Cloud Mountain Sect was a Nascent Soul Stage Cultivator, but he was in seclusion year-round, so the Cloud Mountain Sect was primarily managed by these Elders.

”Elders, what are your thoughts?”

”The sudden appearance of a Gold Core Stage Cultivator in our territory is certainly not simple. Furthermore, the individual destroyed the local government office without any warning. I believe it might be the work of an evil Cultivator.”

A middle-aged man, who exuded authority without anger, analyzed while toying with the beads in his hand.

”You mean, this evil Cultivator is testing our limits?”

”It’s possible. If we don’t do something, this evil Cultivator might take root nearby. If he develops, it will be much more troublesome to eradicate him then.”

”I don’t think it’s an evil Cultivator; after all, evil Cultivators always act discreetly.”

..........

The Elders discussed, each holding their own opinions, but ultimately, everyone agreed on one point: regardless of whether this Gold Core Stage Cultivator was an evil Cultivator or not, they needed to find and make contact with him.

If he could be recruited into the Cloud Mountain Sect, that would be for the best. If he refused to join the Cloud Mountain Sect, then he should be captured alive and handed over to the imperial dynasty, which could also yield some benefits.

Meanwhile, Lin Feng, the instigator of these events, had already returned to the dilapidated mountain stronghold.

”System, resurrect Kui Feifei and Han Yong.”

”Beep, please confirm whether to use two resurrection coins to resurrect the Kui Feifei and Han Yong you know.”

”Confirm use.”

After Lin Feng spoke, two resurrection coins appeared in mid-air and then disintegrated into powder.

Moments later, Kui Feifei and Han Yong appeared before Lin Feng.

”What? Huh? Third Brother, why are you here? Run quickly, the imperial soldiers are chasing us! Wait... imperial soldiers? Where are the imperial soldiers?”

Kui Feifei looked around in confusion. He only remembered desperately resisting the pursuit of the imperial soldiers, and then he suddenly lost consciousness.

Han Yong, standing beside him, was much calmer.

”Third Brother, didn’t we die?”

Han Yong asked with a puzzled expression.

Lin Feng could only fabricate a reason, saying that while escaping the imperial soldiers’ pursuit, he accidentally fell off a cliff and found a cave at the bottom. Inside, he discovered two pills capable of reconstructing flesh and soul, which allowed him to resurrect the two.

Although Han Yong was half-skeptical of this explanation, he still chose to believe Lin Feng, as there were indeed many secret cave dwellings in this world.

These cave dwellings were left behind by powerful Cultivators from the past.

They usually contained many treasures, so the appearance of pills that could bring the dead back to life was not impossible.

Kui Feifei, however, was a bit displeased, still scolding Lin Feng for using such precious pills to save him. In response, Lin Feng merely smiled and said nothing more.

When Kui Feifei chose to sacrifice himself to let Lin Feng and Han Yong escape, Lin Feng had already recognized him as his elder brother.

”Oh right, Third Brother, are those imperial soldiers no longer chasing us? Let’s quickly go back to the stronghold, pack our things, and find another place to be mountain bandits.”

Kui Feifei said urgently, then turned to ascertain the direction before running towards the stronghold.

”Hey, Big Brother, wait for me!”

Lin Feng shouted, and Han Yong also laughed as he followed.

However, when Kui Feifei and Han Yong saw the state of the stronghold, they were dumbfounded.

”Third Brother, how long have we been dead??”

”Uh, I’m not entirely sure, but it’s been quite a while. However, this place can still be lived in after some tidying up. We’ll have roasted pork tonight.”

Lin Feng scratched his head, then pointed into thin air, summoning many lightning orbs that blasted towards several wild boars that had taken over the stronghold.

The wild boars naturally had no time to dodge and were instantly killed by the magic orbs.

”Holy cow, Third Brother, is this... magic?”

Even Han Yong, who was usually very calm, showed a surprised expression.

”Yes, I was fortunate enough to take on a master and embark on the path of cultivation. It’s just a pity that old man passed away before he could teach me everything.”

Lin Feng sighed and continued, ”Oh right, Big Brother, Second Brother, I’ve already avenged you. I didn’t leave a single one of those imperial soldiers alive; I killed them all.”

”Killed them all? This... that might not be appropriate.”

Kui Feifei said with some concern, worried about greater retaliation from the government.

”Good riddance! Those corrupt officials, not a single one of them is any good!”

Han Yong, on the other hand, spoke with great satisfaction.

It seemed he had some history with the imperial soldiers.

”Sigh, never mind. If there’s retaliation, at worst, it’s just death.”

Kui Feifei waved his hand indifferently. He had already died once, so what difference would dying again make?

He went into the ”stronghold,” cleared away the scattered broken wood, and then gathered the bodies of the wild boars.

Lin Feng also knew he couldn’t stay on this floor forever, so he prepared to give Kui Feifei and Han Yong some defensive items.

These items... were naturally firearms.

After some thought, Lin Feng took out over twenty AKs and hundreds of thousands of bullets from the System Space, along with two laser rifles and two energy cells. Each energy cell could fire a hundred thousand rounds, which was more than enough for them.

As for battle armor, Lin Feng didn’t take it out. After all, it required charging, and without energy, it was just a pile of scrap metal.

After explaining the names of these weapons and how to use them to the two, Lin Feng fabricated a story about their origin.

They were also supposedly acquired from that cave dwelling, and he had even obtained a storage ring.

The two merely thought they were magic artifacts refined by a powerful being and didn’t think much of it.

However, with these weapons, even a Gold Core Stage Cultivator should have a fighting chance, right?
