Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

True and False Lin FengQin An: ”Lin Feng! Are you on Blue Star too? I just got a seven-day vacation, how come I’m seeing you on Blue Star??”

Lin Feng: ”Huh? I’m still in the Elevator. The person you saw must just be a doppelganger, right?”

Qin An: ”Impossible! I saw him walk out of the apartment we rented with my own eyes!”

Lin Feng: ”Could it be one of those monsters from the Monster World? They can transform into human appearances. What if a monster just happened to take on my appearance? Anyway, I’m not on Blue Star, you’d best not approach it.”

While typing his reply, Lin Feng pondered other possibilities. If it was a monster from the Monster World, then it must have some understanding of his information, having seen him before.

Could it be a monster from one of the Monster Academy floors from a long time ago, disguised as him?

Those were the only monsters Lin Feng hadn’t completely wiped out back then.

Later, at the Monster Academy, when delivering express deliveries, and more recently when farming gold coins in the Monster World, Lin Feng directly cleared out all the monsters he saw.

Even so, how did the other party know he lived there?

It couldn’t be a coincidence, could it?

The more Lin Feng thought about it, the more he felt something was off.

Although he really wanted Qin An to investigate for him, for his safety, Lin Feng still told Qin An to stay away from the creature impersonating him.

After all, Qin An, having returned to Blue Star, should be empty-handed.

He would personally search for it when he returned to Blue Star.

Meanwhile, in the Blue Star World.

Qin An dug out the buried pistol from the community garden soil.

And attached a suppressor.

After checking the bullets, Qin An wrapped up the pistol and walked directly towards the apartment he shared with Lin Feng.

Although Lin Feng told him not to approach this creature impersonating him, Qin An still really wanted to figure it out.

Qin An also had some understanding of his own strength; he certainly wouldn’t just give up.

After he returned to Blue Star, although none of his items could be brought in, Qin An discovered that his amulet had returned to Blue Star with him.

With the amulet as a trump card, even if he couldn’t win, he could still escape.

Standing behind the anti-theft door, Qin An inserted the key, then slowly turned it.

Click!

The lock opened, and upon opening the door, Lin Feng was standing inside, looking at him with a smile.

”Anzi, you’re back too?”

Lin Feng poured a cup of hot water, placed it on the other side of the table, and motioned for Qin An to come and sit.

Seeing that the other party’s demeanor and voice were incredibly similar to Lin Feng’s, and that he even knew him, Qin An decided to talk to him first.

The two quickly began chatting, and Qin An also realized that the person in front of him was exactly like the real Lin Feng.

Even secrets known only to the two of them were known by the fake Lin Feng in front of him.

”By the way, why aren’t you drinking water? We’ve been talking for so long, aren’t you thirsty?”

”No, this water is too hot, I can’t drink it.”

Qin An’s hand, hanging below the table, slowly moved to his gun.

”It’s not hot anymore, is it?”

Lin Feng touched the water cup with a puzzled expression.

”Damn, you brat, don’t tell me you think I poisoned you?!”

The fake Lin Feng looked surprised, then picked up the water cup and took a big gulp.

”Now you believe it’s not poisoned, right? If you don’t drink this water today, we’re through.”

Lin Feng slammed the half-empty glass of plain water heavily in front of Qin An, and a few drops that were clearly about to splash out suddenly receded back into the cup.

Noticing this detail, Qin An decisively raised his pistol and fired three shots at the fake Lin Feng in front of him.

However, all of them were dodged by the other party.

”Damn it, are you crazy?? You don’t even recognize me anymore?”

Lin Feng looked at Qin An with great anger.

”Good acting, but... a fake is ultimately a fake. What exactly are you, you ghost?”

Qin An said unhurriedly, while holstering the gun at his waist.

Given the opponent’s strength, a pistol was clearly no longer a threat.

”Open your dog eyes and see, am I fake?? Have you been in the Elevator so long you’ve gone stupid? This is Blue Star, this is reality, please! Wake up, we’re back for a vacation!”

Lin Feng said furiously, but the word ”reality” from the other party’s mouth made Qin An even more convinced of his own thoughts.

Because Lin Feng had told him yesterday that the Blue Star they returned to might be virtual or a parallel world, but it was definitely not the real Blue Star.

At this moment, seeing that Qin An remained unmoved, the fake Lin Feng’s tone became even more agitated, repeatedly emphasizing that this was the real Blue Star and urging Qin An to wake up. His words seemed to possess some kind of magical power that could control people’s minds.

”Do you know what I did before I returned to Blue Star?”

Qin An chuckled, then continued: ”After Lin Feng told me that this Blue Star wasn’t the real Blue Star, I kept my guard up. I won’t tell you the rest.”

Before returning to Blue Star, Qin An had drunk a potion that comprehensively increased all attribute values: Strength, Agility, Speed, Constitution, and Sanity, all by one hundred points.

He had bought this potion from a Floor Merchant for five hundred gold coins.

The effect was also very good, with the attribute boost lasting for three days.

He was just worried about encountering any unexpected situations when he returned to Blue Star.

After all, some things are fine if you don’t know them, but once you do, they can pose a danger to you.

This was also the vigilance Qin An had developed throughout his years as a mercenary.

Otherwise, why would you think he had been a mercenary for so many years without losing an arm or a leg? It wasn’t all just luck.

Seeing that Qin An could not be swayed by his words, the other party stopped pretending. His right hand suddenly produced a machete at some unknown point, and he swung it at Qin An.

However, it was then easily blocked by Qin An with his pistol.

While retreating several steps, he adjusted the pistol to full-auto mode.

There were a total of 23 bullets left in the magazine, all of which were discharged in less than a second.

Several of these bullets successfully hit Lin Feng, causing wounds.

However, these wounds healed in just a moment.

Then, ”Lin Feng” delivered a punch, sending Qin An flying out the window, and the gun in Qin An’s hand was also knocked away.

Qin An, who fell from the second floor, was unharmed, but that punch just now really made him feel overwhelmed.

Knowing full well that he was no match for this fake Lin Feng, Qin An turned and ran, while simultaneously taking out his phone to call the police, hoping to have them stall this ghostly creature.

However, no matter how Qin An fiddled with it, his phone had no signal, and the passersby who had clearly seen Qin An fly out of the second-story window acted as if nothing had happened.
