Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Learning magic, the shock from the silver-haired maid“Hahaha, not at all, these are just basic flame spells.”

Kuze quickly waved his hand, feigning humility, but in reality, he was bubbling with joy.

After all, who doesn’t like to be flattered?

Kuze, of course, knew why Lin Feng had come to him, so he had a maid bring over a staff and a book he had prepared in advance.

“This is the textbook for basic magic knowledge. First-year students at the Magic Academy all study it. This staff will help you cast spells better. It’s difficult for beginners to cast spells without a staff.”

After handing the two items to Lin Feng, Kuze began to guide Lin Feng through the book’s knowledge.

Lin Feng then realized that learning magic was quite similar to cultivating internal arts.

It was just that spiritual energy was replaced by magic power, and casting spells also required reciting a very obscure and difficult-to-understand incantation.

However, what seemed like a difficult incantation to others was no different from his native language to Lin Feng.

Don’t forget, Lin Feng had the Human Language Translator.

These magic incantations, in a sense, were also human languages, so Lin Feng instantly understood the incantations in the book.

With the help of his super-high intelligence and the Human Language Translator, he learned the grammar and intonation, which were usually difficult to master, in a matter of minutes.

Just as the two were studying, the maid suddenly ran over and whispered a few words to Kuze.

“Brother Lin, please look at this for a moment. I’ll be back soon. Someone from the family has arrived, and I need to greet them. Miss Lina, please take good care of Brother Lin.”

“Yes, Young Master.”

Kuze finished speaking and hurried away. It seemed the person who arrived must have been of significant status.

Lin Feng didn’t pay it any mind and continued to delve into the book.

At this moment, the silver-haired maid brought over some fruit, intending to feed Lin Feng. Lin Feng, for his part, indicated that he would reluctantly accept.

While eating the fruit handed to him, Lin Feng flipped through the book.

“By the way, Miss Lina, do you know magic?”

“Just a little.”

The maid, who was diligently feeding Lin Feng, quickly replied.

“Then, for this flame magic, do you just need to recite the incantation correctly to control the fire elements in the air?”

Lin Feng swallowed the cherry he had in his mouth, then sat up and handed the book to Miss Lina.

“Yes, Young Master Lin.”

“Oh, then I’ll try.”

Lin Feng picked up the staff and examined it. The staff was slightly curved, narrower at the bottom and wider at the top, with a ruby embedded at its tip.

Lin Feng, curious, also scanned it with his scanner.

[Wind Spirit Staff: Made from Wind Spirit Wood and agate, then enchanted by a Great Mage.]

After satisfying his curiosity, Lin Feng stood up from the lounge chair, held the staff in front of him, and murmured an obscure incantation.

The phonetic translation was roughly “Flan An Tikor.”

It was very short, as it was a beginner’s spell.

As Lin Feng recited the incantation, he indeed felt the fire elements in the air, dancing around him like spirits.

After Lin Feng finished the incantation, a large amount of fire elements had gathered on the staff. He then waved it forward, and a ten-centimeter radius fireball appeared out of thin air, exploding after flying more than ten meters.

“It’s that simple?”

Lin Feng scratched his head. Wasn’t this much simpler than cultivating internal arts??

However, what he didn’t notice was that Miss Lina, standing behind him, was already shocked by the result of Lin Feng’s first spellcasting.

“Young Master Lin, was that truly your first time casting a spell?”

“Yes, why?”

Lin Feng turned around, puzzled.

“Then your magic affinity must be very high, right? To reach this level on your first spellcasting, you must have at least a superior affinity, right?”

“Haha, you guessed wrong. I’m only mid-low tier.”

Lin Feng shrugged, but from Miss Lina’s expression, he was indeed very impressive.

“Forget it, forget it, who cares? Let’s continue learning the next spell!”

Lin Feng smiled, then flipped to the next page and began reading.

The second basic magic, Water Wall, seemed to be for defense and was also very simple. Lin Feng only took five minutes to cast it.

Such a fast learning speed truly startled Miss Lina, who was standing nearby; she even dropped the grapes she was holding.

...........

Before long, Lin Feng had cast all seven basic magic spells: Fireball, Water Wall, Sandstorm, Ice Spike, Strong Wind, Heal, and Lightning Strike.

And Miss Lina had never before seen a beginner capable of casting all seven basic magic spells in one go.

“Young Master Lin Feng, you, you should rest for a bit. I’ll give you a head massage. You might get into trouble if you keep this up.”

Miss Lina somewhat flusteredly pulled Lin Feng to the lounge chair, then two soft small hands gently placed themselves on his temples.

“Trouble? What trouble?”

Lin Feng, feeling bewildered, closed his eyes slightly and asked.

However, the massage was quite comfortable, so he decided to enjoy it.

“Ah? Doesn’t your head hurt? Reciting incantations consumes mental energy.”

“No, it doesn’t hurt.”

“Ah!?”

Miss Lina exclaimed. Beginners generally have very little mental energy. Being able to cast three spells consecutively is considered very strong, and it’s common for beginners to faint immediately after casting spells.

But Lin Feng cast seven consecutively and was still fine?!

No wonder Miss Lina was so worried. After all, if anything happened to Lin Feng, Kuze wouldn’t let her off the hook.

“Forget it, you can continue massaging. It’s quite comfortable. Just call me when Kuze arrives.”

“Okay, okay.”

Miss Lina suppressed her curiosity and focused on serving Lin Feng.

Lin Feng didn’t fall asleep; instead, he checked his status panel.

He had indeed felt a consumption of mental energy when casting spells just now, but it was negligible, almost ignorable.

“As expected, a new attribute has been added.”

Lin Feng suddenly understood. It was because the system had upgraded without a prompt; otherwise, it would have notified him that he had unlocked new attributes.

No wonder he could cast skills freely like someone with infinite mana. Lin Feng had thought these basic spells were simple and didn’t consume much mental energy.

So, mental energy was the same as sanity.

Looking at the three question marks under mental energy, Lin Feng’s mood was delightful.

A mage with infinite mana and instant cast abilities, are you afraid?

Although Lin Feng couldn’t achieve instant cast yet, he could definitely do it with diligent practice.

Just like Kuze, who could casually gesture a few times and directly summon a fire elemental to fight for him.

Speaking of which, could that Emperor’s Scepter also be a staff?
