Ruling Martial World by Infinite Insect Swarms

Chapter 174: Chapter 165: The Leviathan Fleet Strikes

”ROAR—!!!”

A roar that pierced the mountains, tore through the clouds, and struck deep into the soul echoed out.

BOOM—!!!

Accompanied by an earth-shattering rumble, the thousand-meter-tall, mountain-like giant egg shattered!

An incomparably massive creature emerged from within.

Unlike a normal Leviathan, it possessed a head resembling the Dragon Race, and atop its head sat a pair of ferocious, hundred-meter-long Dragon Horns. Beneath the head grew a dense cluster of tentacles that looked like dragon whiskers, but were actually Needle-spine Crawlers!

Two rows of giant compound eyes, each over twenty meters in diameter, slowly lit up.

Below its eyes was a terrifying, gaping maw large enough to swallow a mountain peak. As it slightly opened and closed, layers of menacing, razor-sharp teeth could be vaguely seen. Aside from biting, this was also the Leviathan’s ”Main Cannon”! It could spew a laser-like beam capable of attacking targets thousands of miles away in interstellar space.

Next came its massive, 1,200-meter-long torso! It looked like a magnified stellar giant whale, yet it was far more slender, streamlined, and brimming with power.

Its entire body was covered in a deep blue, almost black carapace.

Due to absorbing the Dragon Race bloodline, as well as integrating local knowledge like the Arrays absorbed by the Insect Swarm, the carapace was completely covered in dense, special patterns. If an Array master like Qin Mohe were to see it, he would definitely be able to find traces of the Qin Family’s Gale Grand Array within them.

Of course, the Leviathan’s body was simply too colossal; it had integrated far more than just one type of Array.

Along its spine, rows of Bone Spikes as sharp as mountain peaks lined up. The longest among them reached hundreds of meters, continuously opening and closing within the carapace on both sides. The chambers on these flanks could rapidly extrude drop pods, deploying the Insect Swarm straight into battle.

Amidst the long, drawn-out roars...

This terrifying 1,200-meter-long Biological Battleship broke free from the shackles of gravity like a primordial behemoth. With a swiftness and agility completely disproportionate to its massive size, it soared up from the ground and shot straight into the clouds!

In mid-air, Secret Patterns lit up across the Leviathan’s body, enveloping it in a heavy Energy Shield dozens of meters thick. Within a radius of over ten miles, the weather abruptly changed. Fierce winds howled and clouds gathered, completely concealing the Leviathan’s colossal frame.

Qin Yu moved, flying to the top of the Leviathan’s head, which was as flat and wide as a small plaza. Standing there, he looked down at Snake Valley, which now seemed minuscule in comparison.

A surge of power welled up in his heart.

ROAR—

Sensing Qin Yu’s mood, the Leviathan let out a long, resonant cry. The surrounding winds grew even more turbulent, with faint rumbles of thunder echoing out. In mere moments, dark clouds covered the sky, as if ten thousand Thunderbolts were ready to strike down at any second.

Thousands of Thunder Rocs, Four-winged Black Thorn Eagles, Heaven-Burning Flames, and other flying units soared into the sky, swarming and flying around the Leviathan. It was evident that whenever these flying units approached within ten miles of the Leviathan’s cloud cover, a layer of light would flow across their bodies. It was a radiance akin to a Daoist Soldier Array, capable of protecting allied units within the Sheltering Array.

”Hahaha—!”

Qin Yu’s hearty laughter rang out.

The Insect Swarm’s super aerial fortress unit had finally been successfully incubated. From this moment on, he had the capital to contend with any enemy!

Amidst his laughter, his consciousness sank into the Insect Swarm’s Mind Network, forming a deep connection with the Leviathan’s onboard control system.

Instantly, countless streams of information flooded his senses.

This Leviathan—created by fusing the Dragon Race bloodline and compiling the Insect Swarm’s highest achievements in Arrays and the Daoist Soldier System—innately possessed the power to command wind and thunder. It could swallow clouds, exhale mist, and soar through the nine heavens.

Its strongest form of attack, the Plasmid Burst Main Cannon, had a calculated range in an atmospheric environment determined by the Insect Nest to be over 1,500 kilometers. Once locked on, a hit was guaranteed. Its raw power posed a lethal threat to the Primordial Mansion Realm, though it consumed a massive amount of energy, requiring a cooldown period between continuous shots.

Thanks to its super-massive body, the Insect Nest had ample space to allocate resources. As a result, numerous Defensive Arrays like the Poison Shadow Mysterious Array were optimized and integrated into it. To achieve this, nearly ninety percent of the precious resources rewarded by the Court had been heavily invested. This elevated the Leviathan’s defensive capabilities to astonishing heights. Even if an ordinary Primordial Mansion Realm expert like the Flood Dragon Demon King unleashed an all-out explosive attack, they wouldn’t be able to breach its defenses.

Inside, there were also vast numbers of chambers capable of carrying a massive amount of Insect Swarm units to assist in battle. It could consume its stored energy to spawn a colossal Insect Swarm in a short period.

After all, while the Leviathan before him seemed like a mere living creature, it was actually a Biological Battleship belonging to the Insect Swarm—a Biological Battleship capable of traversing the cosmos! By absorbing the Talent Secret Patterns of local Demon Fiends and Array lines, it became even more formidable, transforming into a near-perfect, comprehensive combat platform!

”Perfect!” Qin Yu was ecstatic.

The performance of this first-generation Leviathan was exactly as expected. It possessed the power to change the entire landscape of Yunlong County. Leaving aside everything else, just the 1,500-kilometer range of its Main Cannon was enough to shock Myriad Phenomena Realm experts. Attacking from such a distance, the opponent probably wouldn’t even know where the attack came from before they died!

Claiming an enemy’s head from thousands of miles away. Qin Yu didn’t know if the Primordial Spirit Realm had such capabilities, but the Myriad Phenomena Realm definitely didn’t. This wasn’t to say that the Myriad Phenomena Realm was inferior to the Leviathan; rather, the two simply didn’t belong to the same system.

In the inherited memories of the Insect Swarm, most battlefields were interstellar. Given the scale of the vast cosmos, even a distance of ten thousand miles was considered close-quarters combat. In some fragmented memories, certain forms of attack were even measured in light-years.

However, this world was different. Although there were no definitive tests, this world was definitely not a planet, but an enormous plane. There was no need for interstellar battlefields, so purely in terms of attack range, it was far inferior to the Leviathan’s true potential. In his past life, even before humanity left the planet, Earth had plenty of missiles with ranges exceeding tens of thousands of kilometers. The fact that the Main Cannon hidden within the Leviathan’s maw only had a range of 1,500 kilometers was actually due to the severe restrictions imposed by the special environment of this world.

But this was enough.

Incredibly fast movement speed, tremendous defensive capabilities, and ultra-long-range attacks. Even if its attack methods were somewhat monotonous, the combination of these three traits was nothing short of terrifying!

”Perhaps I can explore the scenery above the sky and see the true face of this world,” Qin Yu mused, looking up at the sky.

The blazing sun hung high. Above the clouds lay endless, piercing astral winds. Previously, he had ordered the Red Feather Demon King, the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer, and others to fly into the sky. However, after breaking through the cloud layer, the terrifying winds only grew fiercer. Even the Red Feather Demon King couldn’t fly too high.

”Forget it, I’ll test it later. Insect Nest, assist the Leviathan in loading the internal units and prepare for battle.”

With a thought, the glowing Secret Patterns on the Leviathan soaring in the sky dimmed, and it slowly descended into the long, narrow passage of Snake Valley.

On the ground, the exits of the Tunneling Worms lay open.

Soon, the elite troops of the Insect Swarm scattered throughout the Wilderness Mountain Range poured out in an orderly manner, like a torrent of black steel. Units like Rapid Insects, Thorn Snakes, Poison Burst Insects, and cockroaches quickly entered the multiple massive chambers that unfolded beneath the Leviathan’s abdomen. A full elite army of thirty thousand Insect Swarm units embarked in less than ten minutes.

The entire process was swift and highly efficient.

”System self-check complete. All onboard units are in position. Energy reserves at 100%, Main Cannon charge maintained at 10%, Shield strength at 100%... ready for takeoff.”

”For this battle, we will first annihilate the strongest faction, the Cyan Profound Sect!” A hint of icy Killing Intent flashed in Qin Yu’s eyes.

He didn’t have any life-or-death grudge against the Cyan Profound Sect. Although they had clashed over the Five Poison Sect Inheritance Token, anyone fighting for fortuitous encounters naturally bore the risk of death. Even if they wanted to scheme for his inheritance, he wouldn’t have cared much. But their intention to secretly control his parents and coerce him into making certain choices at critical moments had thoroughly enraged him.

Throwing one hard punch now would prevent a hundred more from coming later!

Since he was going to reveal his strength, he would naturally pick the strongest target. The rest would learn the consequences of angering him, making it much easier to act in the future.

”Before that, I need to give the family a heads-up.”

Qin Yu looked toward Cyan Peak County. He had seen everything the Celestial Wind Ancestor and the others had done. They treated people with sincerity, so he naturally wouldn’t be stingy in rewarding them. He wasn’t worried about exposing the Leviathan to the public; after annihilating the Cyan Profound Sect this time, the Leviathan would be exposed anyway. To those factions peeking from the shadows, coveting his fortuitous encounters and inheritance... he would give them a good show.

At this thought, an odd look crossed Qin Yu’s face.

When incubating the Leviathan, he had deliberately enhanced its Dragon Race traits. For instance, the Leviathan’s ferocious dragon head, and that pair of Dragon Horns which were nearly a perfect replica of the Bishui River Dragon King’s! Although the Secret Patterns engraved on this pair of Dragon Horns granted the ability to manipulate Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi to call the wind and summon the rain, their greater purpose was to showcase its ”identity”!

As long as the Leviathan appeared in the sight of other factions, everyone would likely assume it was a dragon—one with some special bloodline! Dragons were inherently lustful by nature, and the types of Dragon Species were endlessly bizarre and varied. A young man wanders into the deep mountains by mistake, obtains a strange Dragon Race inheritance, expends his family’s foundation to nurture it, refines it into his Lifebound Pet Beast, and becomes a peerless genius. Such a persona would likely attract a lot of interest.

As for the Leviathan’s ability to spawn the Insect Race...

The Great Wei Demons and Monsters Record also mentioned creatures like the Dragon Ant. The fact that the Leviathan could spawn life wasn’t something incomprehensible. After all, Cultivation Techniques like the Ten Thousand Poison Gu Refining Scripture could alter the characteristics of life. Furthermore, according to Qin Tianfeng’s introduction, there was a top-tier Sect in Ling State—the Ten Thousand Beasts Sect. They were famous for their expertise in nurturing all kinds of top-tier War Beasts, and many among them were skilled at cultivating and modifying them.

Thoughts flashed through his mind one by one.

He glanced down at the newly forming Leviathan Egg, as well as two other Leviathans that were simultaneously being cultivated in an Insect Nest deep within the Wilderness Mountain Range.

Qin Yu finally spoke. ”Let’s move out!”

BOOM—!!!

The Leviathan rocketed into the sky. Clouds and mist billowed out, surrounded by thousands of Thunder Rocs, Four-winged Black Thorn Eagles, and other flying units, as it shot toward Cyan Peak County at breakneck speed.
