Ruling Martial World by Infinite Insect Swarms

Chapter 161: Chapter 153: Tier 3 Insect Nest and Dragon Race Bloodline Inheritance

Wilderness Mountain Range, Snake Valley.

The Flood Dragon King’s massive body slowly descended, ultimately landing directly into the Nurturing Pool. Countless tiny tentacles extended from all directions, piercing into its flesh.

As Energy poured in from the Nurturing Pool, the Flood Dragon King’s wounded body began to heal at a visible rate. The bloodline information, which had evolved under the influence of the Dragon Pearl, was also being analyzed by the Insect Nest.

This was the Insect Swarm’s very first Primordial Mansion Realm combat unit.

Long before, when they successfully hunted the Flood Dragon King, the Insect Swarm had discovered a series of Genetic Locks within its bloodline, sealing the inheritance information hidden inside.

Only a breakthrough in strength and a transformation of the bloodline could unlock them.

Now, the bloodline within its body had already transformed. The inheritance hidden within the Dragon Race’s bloodline information gradually revealed itself to the Insect Swarm.

The Insect Nest greedily categorized this bloodline inheritance information, discarding the useless and retaining the essential. It then compared, integrated, and optimized the data with the Insect Swarm’s existing gene pool, combat data, and evolutionary models.

The Dragon Race Inheritance information did not consist of specific Cultivation Techniques or moves. Instead, it was a collection of blurry yet vast memory fragments. These fragments contained the combat memories of the Dragon Race fighting against various powerful lifeforms.

Massive Exotic Beasts in the deep sea, and soaring Rocs in the sky.

Observing these tragic and bloody battles time and time again provided an immense benefit to the Dragon Race, allowing them to master their own bodies and Talents at the fastest possible speed.

As the power of the bloodline gradually awakened, Qin Yu could clearly sense the Flood Dragon King’s natural affinity for the world’s Law of Water, Law of Wind, and Cloud Rain Thunder Power.

How to channel the Power of Rivers, Lakes, and Seas. How to Call the Wind and Summon the Rain. How to command Thunderbolts.

All of this was branded deep within its bloodline, making Qin Yu marvel at the sheer strength of the Dragon Race’s Talent.

When he broke through, he had triggered a Heaven and Earth Phenomenon. The Heaven and Earth Phenomenon had transformed into Divine Patterns branded onto his body, yet even that was only slightly stronger than the natural Talent of the Dragon Race.

”The Talents ’Call the Wind and Summon the Rain’ and ’Wishful Size.’

”To birth two Talents right upon awakening... It seems this is because it devoured the Bishui River Dragon King’s Dragon Pearl. Otherwise, becoming this powerful wouldn’t have been so easy.” Qin Yu quietly sensed the information within the bloodline.

The Flood Dragon King was a ’Fish Dragon.’ After its breakthrough, its Talent regarding the Law of Water was pushed to the absolute limit.

If comprehending the Law of Water with a human body was like looking at flowers through a thick fog—separated by countless barriers and unable to see clearly—then sensing it through the Flood Dragon King’s body felt like being the darling of the Law of Water.

Its affinity for the Law of Wind was slightly inferior, but still incredibly powerful.

This was the guiding effect of the ’Call the Wind and Summon the Rain’ Talent!

What is a dragon?

It can be large or small; it can ascend or hide. When large, it stirs up clouds and exhales mist. When small, it conceals its form. When it ascends, it soars through the cosmos. When it hides, it lurks within the crashing waves.

This is a dragon!

Wishful Size involved far more than just a physical transformation of flesh and blood.

It involved Space!

[Attempting to integrate and deduce the fusion of the Dragon Race’s physical bloodline with the Insect Swarm’s genetic sequence... Deduction in progress...]

[Attempting to analyze the ’Call the Wind and Summon the Rain’ and ’Wishful Size’ Talents, integrating data with the ’Wind and Thunder Insect Tide’... Optimization calculations in progress...]

Streams of information flashed within the Insect Nest. It rapidly absorbed the endless flow of information surging from the Flood Dragon King’s bloodline, converting it into a part of the Insect Swarm’s strength.

The most formidable aspect of the Insect Swarm was its evolution and mutation. This evolution and mutation did not come from nothing; it was based on the Swarm’s massive database and overwhelming numbers.

The Dragon Race Inheritance information was the perfect nourishment for the Insect Swarm.

”The Dragon Race is definitely one of the most powerful races in this world. I can prioritize investing resources into nurturing Dragon Race combat units that belong exclusively to the Insect Swarm.”

A smile touched Qin Yu’s eyes.

Dragons were the lords of all scaly insects; by nature, they were meant to be members of the Insect Race!

For now, the Insect Swarm’s utilization of the Dragon Race’s bloodline was limited to simple imitation and optimization.

But as long as a Tier Three Insect Nest appeared...

In the future of the Insect Swarm, far more diverse and powerful combat units—ones that truly integrated the advantages of the Dragon Race and underwent the Swarm’s optimization and modification—would inevitably emerge on a massive scale.

”It’s not just the Dragon Race! The bloodlines of other powerful races must also be absorbed one by one, turning them into nourishment for the Insect Swarm’s evolution.”

Qin Yu shifted his gaze not far from the Flood Dragon King. There lay the Red Feather Demon King, its body shattered and clinging to its last breath. At this moment, numerous tiny tentacles were also piercing into its body.

As long as it hadn’t died on the spot, it was impossible for it to die once returned to the base, thanks to the powerful modification abilities of the Insect Nest.

The Red Feather Demon King’s bloodline was not weak, either.

Within its veins flowed a trace of the ’Golden Crow’ bloodline, though it was extremely thin.

Yet, even so, the Insect Swarm had used it as a template to develop powerful combat units like the Heaven-Burning Fire Crow.

Further away, a large batch of units—including Black Thorn Eagles, Thunder Rocs, and Heaven-Burning Fire Crows—were prostrating on the Fungal Mat, recovering from their injuries.

During the battle with the Bishui River Demon Fiends, especially the Flood Dragon Dao Soldiers, over a thousand of the five thousand flying units had been killed in action, and most of the survivors were injured.

Now, they were all beginning to recover.

As for the numerous aquatic units, they had returned to the Insect Nest located in the Bishui River.

While they were recovering, intense fluctuations of Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi constantly erupted above the Insect Nest.

Unit after unit—having survived brutal battles and devoured vast quantities of flesh and blood—finally began to transform now that they had sufficient Energy.

Breakthrough!

Breaking through from the Qi and Blood Realm to the Qi Sea Realm!

Breaking through via combat was one of the Insect Swarm’s greatest strengths. Once he broke through to the Qi Sea Realm and comprehended its key principles, the difficulty for the Insect Swarm to reach the Qi Sea Realm had significantly decreased.

If he hadn’t intentionally suppressed them, quite a few units would have broken through right on the Bishui River battlefield.

That would have been too eye-catching.

Tens of thousands of Insect Race members openly appearing on the battlefield was already striking enough. However, they had the Five Poison Sect as a cover, and the Insect Swarm had assisted the Demon Suppression Bureau against the Blood Demon Sect and the Bishui River Dragon King.

Even if it caught the attention of some people, they would hold back their suspicions somewhat.

After all, these were merely Qi and Blood Realm Insect Race members. To truly powerful factions, they were nothing significant.

For example, the Su Family had secretly nurtured quite a few spider-type Demon Fiends.

In fact, if someone could successfully enslave a Qi Sea Realm Great Demon and use it as a core, it wouldn’t be difficult to spend the time and resources to cultivate a Demon’s Nest.

However, breaking through to the Qi Sea Realm in large numbers sequentially was an entirely different matter.

When the wave of breakthroughs finally passed, a total of 83 units had advanced to the Qi Sea Realm on the spot!

Furthermore, the vast majority of them were underwater units like Profound Flood Dragons and Profound Armor Cyan Aos.

There was even a Sharp-toothed Catfish that underwent continuous evolution and mutation, jumping straight from the Body Forging Realm to the Qi Sea Realm. It skyrocketed from a small combat unit of merely one zhang in length to a massive twenty meters.

The reason for this was that, after devouring massive amounts of Demon Fiend flesh during the battle, it had also consumed a considerable amount of the Bishui River Dragon King’s flesh.

”Those that broke through during this battle are all Elite Units and can be heavily nurtured. In the future, they might just evolve into even more powerful units,” Qin Yu thought.

Qin Yu looked at the Sharp-toothed Catfish—or rather, it could no longer be called a Sharp-toothed Catfish.

It was a Dragon Catfish!

Its twenty-meter-long body now bore a hint of draconic ferocity on its head.

At this moment, however, these were not what Qin Yu anticipated the most.

He wasn’t even anticipating the Dragon Race Inheritance.

He was anticipating the Insect Nest!

The Insect Nest hidden deep within Snake Valley!

Twelve hours later.

Inside Snake Valley’s Mountain Belly, a giant insect egg that had swelled to 120 meters in height violently burst open, transforming into a massive Insect Nest about sixty meters tall and covering hundreds of square meters.

”The Tier Three Insect Nest has hatched successfully!”

Far away in Bishui City, Qin Yu—who was meditating, regulating his breathing, sensing the Bridge of Heaven and Earth within his body, and devouring Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi—suddenly opened his eyes.

Having experienced two previous breakthroughs, Qin Yu instantly felt a vigorous burst of power surging through the Insect Nest’s Mind Network.

It caused his body and Soul, which were already incredibly strong due to Body Refining, to improve at an astonishing speed.

”They’ve roughly doubled in strength! My Divine Sense can easily cover a radius of a hundred zhang, perceiving and investigating all information. With my strength, even under normal explosive power, I wouldn’t be inferior to an ordinary Primordial Mansion Realm expert,” Qin Yu thought.

These expected developments did not make Qin Yu overly excited.

What truly excited him were the three types of units the Insect Swarm unlocked upon the Insect Nest’s breakthrough.

”Thunder Beast, Tunneling Worm, and Leviathan... To think it would be these three units.”
