Urban All-Round Master

44: Chapter 44 A Hint of Melancholy 44: Chapter 44 A Hint of Melancholy “I wonder when the Daoist emerged from the mountain?”

At this moment, Lin Zifeng, who had been silent until now, suddenly asked the old Daoist with a smile.

“I’ve just left the mountain recently, following the orders of my master to descend and seek the predestined person to ensure her safe and peaceful existence.”

This guy could really spout some bullshit.

The girl listened with uncontained excitement, incessantly praising herself as the predestined person he was looking for.

“Oh, is that so?

I wonder if Emei is still accepting male disciples these days?” Lin Zifeng asked with a grin.

“Uh…” The old Daoist was at a loss for words and fell into silence.

Nangong Bing, seeing that Lin Zifeng was intentionally stirring trouble, laughed and said, “Master Wang must be tired after a long day today.

Let’s not talk about these things for now.

How about we continue after dinner, okay?”

“Cousin, wait a moment.” Hua Buqi jumped down from the leather chair, running barefoot to them with an innocent expression and said with a smile, “Cousin, didn’t you say this uncle is your bodyguard?

Then why don’t we let Master Wang have a little spar with him?

I want to see just how much your hired bodyguard weighs.

We certainly don’t keep freeloaders here.”

Bodyguard!

Nangong Bing felt a headache coming on as black lines ran across her forehead.

Ever since Lin Zifeng shamelessly insisted on staying at her place, she reluctantly called him the bodyguard.

And now, Hua Buqi actually wanted to set up a spar between the two.

Wasn’t this absurd?

Heaven knows if this Mr.

Lin had any real skills.

If he were to be killed by Master Wang, the loss would outweigh the gain.

“Er…

This might not be a good idea.” Lin Zifeng touched his nose with a fearful expression, but to the girl, it looked incredibly delightful.

Even the fake Daoist old man puffed out his chest at this scene, putting on an act of a lofty person.

In reality, he was just a Martial Arts World swindler who had learned some Daoism over a few years, drifting through society, surviving off a few ancient books left by his ancestors to deceive others.

However, the old Daoist had been a soldier for a few years, so when it came to scuffles, he could normally handle a few small fry.

After all, these days, if one’s home was indeed too poor, entering the military as a cook was a quite decent choice.

“Young friend, rest assured, I will make sure to control myself during the spar and won’t endanger your life,” the old Daoist said, truly imagining himself important, wearing an expression of integrity.

Lin Zifeng, though, was inwardly sneering.

He was worried about accidentally killing him.

“Yay!

Let’s see who is tougher, you’re both bodyguards.”

Hua Buqi, far from stopping them, was throwing fuel on the fire, cheerfully jumping on the sofa barefoot and cheering for the old Daoist.

“Huahua, stop it,” Nangong Bing said, much more mature and calm, knowing all too well what a gory and violent scene could unfold if they really started fighting.

“Since our employer wants to watch, then brother, let’s have a spar, okay?

If you manage to hold your own, young friend, just shout out.

I will certainly show mercy,” the old Daoist said, ready to teach a lesson.

Seeing Lin Zifeng’s not particularly robust figure, the old Daoist was brimming with confidence.

“Really, I can shout out?”

“Uh…” The old Daoist had a forehead full of black lines.

Who are these people?

He hadn’t even started the fight, and they were already prepared to cry for mercy.

They had no spirit at all.

But today, the employer had made it clear: when the fight starts, there must be no leniency.

Now that Lin Zifeng was displaying such a cowardly demeanor, the old Daoist felt an even stronger urge to thrash him.

“Are you ready, young friend?” the old Daoist asked politely, conveying absolute confidence that victory was in his hands.

“Alright.”

Lin Zifeng wasn’t being pretentious.

“Then I’ll let the young friend make three moves first, you can strike me first.”

“Hurry up and fight!

Come on, fight!

Fight already!” Hua Buqi, sitting on the sofa, had the mindset of enjoying the spectacle, her mind full of imaginings of Lin Zifeng being beaten down.

She fantasized about the possible bloody and violent scenes that would ensue.

But what the little girl Hua Buqi and the others could never have anticipated was the scene that followed.

Suddenly, Lin Zifeng’s eyes shone with cold light, electric brilliance flashing in his pupils, his figure moving like a ghostly apparition, and in an instant, he rushed towards the Daoist with a shadowy afterimage.

“Smack!”

Lin Zifeng’s foot had risen and fallen, and he still stood in his original spot, smiling.

Meanwhile, the Daoist was bent over like a pitiful shrimp, a look of agony on his face, which had nearly contorted out of shape, his hands clutching his nether regions, his face twisted in extreme discomfort, his legs tightly clamping the testicles that Lin Zifeng had just kicked.

“Ugh…!”

In an instant, the scene was as quiet as death, and even the previously bouncing Hua Buqi stared with wide eyes, unwilling to believe what she was seeing!

Nangong Bing was also stunned.

Was it really over just like that?

Did the Daoist lose just like that?

And wasn’t Lin Zifeng’s move just too shameless?

After a long while, everyone came to their senses, but Lin Zifeng stood there looking innocently harmless, sucking on a cigarette, blinking his eyes as he looked at the Daoist bent like a shrimp, consoling, “Daoist, are you alright?”

The Daoist was about to cry.

In his heart, he kept cursing that Lin Zifeng was no good, after all, he was an old family man!

You just go straight for my testicles with a kick, did you do that on purpose?!

You’re the embodiment of a vile youth.

“You…

you…

you cheated!”

The recovering little girl was almost at a loss whether to cry or laugh, unable to believe that there could be such an outrageous man in the world, who, in a fight with an old man, would actually kick him there!

This…

this.

“Where did I cheat?” Lin Zifeng still wore an innocently harmless expression, with perhaps a hint of helplessness, which in the eyes of the Daoist, was infuriating to the extreme!

“How could you kick someone there?

You are way too mean!”

The little girl really wanted to go up and comfort the Daoist, but the injury he suffered was a bit too…

embarrassing, and as a girl, she indeed felt too shy to approach.

Even the usually dignified and generous Nangong Bing was speechless; to kick someone…

in a fight.

He was truly outrageous.

“It’s not my fault, he was the one who said to give me three moves first, and also let me strike first.

Seeing his immortal-like demeanor, I was sure he was a master, so…

so, I took the first move.

Besides, when it comes to fighting, there’s no place for gentlemanly decorum, whoever strikes first has the greater opportunity.”

At this moment, the Daoist was clenching his legs, holding his underwear tightly, struggling even to stand up, feeling tormented by the kicked testicles.

He had lived half his life and had never seen such an outrageous character before.

But then again, it seemed all this was his own doing, who made him underestimate his opponent?

Now he was in such a predicament that he couldn’t even complain about his suffering, let alone find a reason to seek revenge.
