“What are you doing, you pervert!”

Hua Buqi screamed in terror, pushing Lin Zifeng’s body away.

Then, with eyes ablaze with fury, she stared at Lin Zifeng as if her gaze had already killed him a thousand times over.

As a pure maiden on her first day back in her homeland, to suffer assault by her own people was…

what a terrifying humiliation.

When she had lived abroad, she often told people that Huaxia’s citizens were harmonious and stable and that their quality and taste had risen by several notches.

But now this incident that had occurred to her completely overturned her inner image of her countrymen.

In an instant, Hua Buqi’s head was filled with thoughts erupting like a volcano; her mind swarmed with disturbing and disgusting images.

“I’m gonna fight you!

You bastard, I’m gonna fight you to the death!”

Hua Buqi yelled, pouncing on Lin Zifeng fiercely like a lioness in a frenzy.

“Hey, hey!

Will you listen to my explanation?

It’s not what you think; can you just listen to me first?” Lin Zifeng was now in a difficult position, forced to explain himself.

“You beast, you shameless creature, you dirty scoundrel.

I don’t want to hear your so-called excuses!

Ah…!

I’m gonna fight you to the death!”

Hua Buqi’s delicate voice, with its inherently childlike and loli tone, sounded like that of a child who never grew up.

“Hey!

Hey!

You’ve misunderstood me; can you just listen to my explanation?”

Lin Zifeng pressed down on her firmly, fearing she might, in the heat of the moment, do something outrageous.

“Scoundrel!

You’re pinning down my chest and still expect me to listen to you?” Hua Buqi was close to tears; this disgusting man kept insisting she listen to his explanation, but why are you pinning down someone else’s chest, huh?

At least you should let go!

“Uh…!

My apologies,” Lin Zifeng didn’t even know how his hands ended up on her chest, and quickly released them.

“I’m going to take you down, you disgusting man!”

Once released, Hua Buqi became even more unruly, turning into a shrew that would not allow Lin Zifeng even half an explanation.

“Hey!

Miss, I’ve already let go, would you listen to my explanation now?”

“Miss?

You scoundrel!

I’m already of age, who are you calling a miss?

You’re the miss here, my lady, and I’m well-developed!”

Hua Buqi clearly misunderstood Lin Zifeng’s words, thinking he was insinuating that her chest was small because he had touched it.

Puffing up her chest and clenching her fists, she charged at Lin Zifeng with a fierce determination to fight him to the death.

“That’s not what I meant; I didn’t say your chest was small.

Your chest is very big, okay?”

“Ah!

Scoundrel, you’re such a scoundrel; you really did attack my chest, now I’m going to fight you to the death.” Hua Buqi, wearing high heels, made quite a sight as her assets bounced, and her delicate face fumed with anger.

“Damn it!

There’s no talking to you.”

Seeing no way to explain himself to this outraged lioness, Lin Zifeng prepared to flee the scene—after all, once the company security arrived, things would get even more embarrassing.

The misunderstanding had not been cleared up; it was imperative not to let onlookers see this.

“Scoundrel, come back here!

Don’t run!

Stop…!” Hua Buqi chased after him desperately, but in her high heels, she couldn’t catch up, and in no time at all, Lin Zifeng disappeared down the road.

Lin Zifeng was helpless; even though he was the victim, he’d become the creepy man.

After about half an hour of commotion, once Lin Zifeng had left, Hua Buqi finally calmed down from her frenzy.

The security team from Tianyu had mostly arrived by then, followed swiftly by a formidable squad of police officers.

Seeing Hua Buqi looking excessively shocked, mumbling ‘scoundrel’ without stopping, everyone hurriedly sent the little princess to the hospital to prevent any accidents.

…

Hiding in the shadows, Lin Zifeng touched his forehead, wondering what kind of world this was.

To think that his attempt at performing CPR had earned him the reputation of a disgusting old man.

In the end, Lin Zifeng could only shake his head helplessly and walk away with a gloomy expression, his cold, poker face resurfacing on his cheeks, making him seem extremely frigid.

Even as he walked down the main road, passersby could distinctly feel the bone-chilling cold emanating from him.

Lin Zifeng’s nature was inherently cold, especially when he was alone.

This time, Lin Zifeng didn’t head straight for Nangong Bing’s villa, instead wandering towards the outskirts of Zhonghai City as if in a trance.

Only when night fell and the entire sky was covered with eerily dark clouds, did Lin Zifeng stop his steps, indifferent.

He lit a cigarette.

Lin Zifeng stood alone in front of a small bungalow.

His dark pupils stared fixedly at the bungalow, as certain memories seemingly evoked past experiences.

His body radiated a strong killing aura.

His brows flickered with a strange brilliance.

After a long while, Lin Zifeng finally took steps toward the interior of the bungalow.

Five years, it had been five years.

He had finally returned, but much of the atmosphere was missing from the house, and its former owner had long since vanished.

With every step Lin Zifeng took, he felt as if his feet were bound by stones weighing hundreds of pounds.

Pushing open the door, Lin Zifeng’s face was already streaked with tears.

As a man of spirit, no matter how strong Lin Zifeng was, no matter how much he controlled his emotions, he seemed unable to suppress the desolation deeply hidden in his heart.

Lin Zifeng trembled all over, his hands tightly gripping the wooden door so hard that the wood chips crumbled to dust.

“Dad… Mom!”

Lin Zifeng wanted to cry out loud, to shout, but all of that no longer existed.

Scenes from the past surfaced in Lin Zifeng’s mind, as if it were only yesterday.

He, too, had been an only child, pampered by his parents, and their life had been harmonious and happy.

Even though he had been a bit naughty, his mother had always doted on him, and despite his father’s sternness, which parent doesn’t love their own children?

But now everything had changed, the entire bungalow had become desolate beyond compare…

It had even reached the point of being bleak and deserted.

Now that he had come back, he could never return to the past.

Lin Zifeng fought to control his emotions, to stop himself from shedding tears.

But his eyes had already turned a deep crimson.

But just then!

Sounds of a man and woman copulating came from inside the house!

Lin Zifeng’s expression suddenly turned blank!

What was going on?

How could there be someone in my house?

Lin Zifeng’s mind went blank in an instant.

He promptly rushed inside.

As soon as he turned on the lights inside the room, to his shock, a man and a woman were caught in the act on the second floor of the bungalow!..
