Urban All-Round Master

29: Chapter 29: The Little Mouse Who Stole Food 29: Chapter 29: The Little Mouse Who Stole Food Anyway, Lin Zifeng isn’t here right now, so I’ll eat first and talk later.

Hua Buqi looked around sneakily, then picked up the instant noodles and started to devour them greedily.

In no time at all, there was hardly anything left of the bowl of instant noodles.

“Mmm~ really good, I didn’t expect instant noodles to be this delicious,” the young girl wiped her lips, her expression one of relish.

But then, she noticed a cup of vanilla ice cream on the table!

Illuminated by the rays of sunlight, the ice cream’s luster and color were exceptionally bright, making the young girl’s eyes sparkle immediately.

Ice cream like this, especially for young girls, is absolutely lethal!

Basically, in Huaxia and even around the world, about eighty percent of young girls like this kind of food, which is hard to resist.

Wowza!

“What beautiful ice cream!”

The ice cream was covered with blue crystals, topped off with vibrant whipped cream.

Hua Buqi bounced around like a child and threw herself next to the ice cream.

Then, looking guilty like a thief, she looked around and, seeing that Lin Zifeng wasn’t in the hall, she wolfed down the ice cream in an instant.

Mmm~~!

So tasty!

The young girl squinted her watery eyes, shaped like crescents.

In no time at all, the young girl had polished off the ice cream completely, even filling the cup with a lot of water before leaving.

Hmph!

That damn beastly sleazy uncle, you like to take advantage of me, don’t you?

Well, see if I don’t get you back in the future.

The young girl’s eyes flickered with excited triumph.

By the time Lin Zifeng came over, the instant noodles and the vanilla ice cream he made this morning were already gone without a trace.

At this moment, Hua Buqi was walking out from behind Nangong Bing, with one in front and one behind, strutting out with a bounce.

Seeing Lin Zifeng looking utterly distressed, Hua Buqi couldn’t help but feel secretly thrilled inside.

However, Nangong Bing kept her icy demeanor, without any fluctuation in her face.

After all, as a powerful businesswoman and corporate elite, her emotions were not something ordinary people could compare to, and besides, she was unaware of Hua Buqi’s antics.

“I say, boss, if you wanted to eat instant noodles or ice cream, you could have just told me, and I’d have made more.

But you can’t just secretly eat all my breakfast!”

Lin Zifeng picked up an entirely empty bowl.

“What are you talking about?

Are you sick?” Nangong Bing arrogantly ran her fingers through her black, glossy hair, then completely ignored Lin Zifeng and walked into the hall.

Meanwhile, Hua Buqi could barely contain her laughter, seeing the frustrated look in Lin Zifeng’s eyes, she couldn’t help but smile.

As she passed by Lin Zifeng, she laughed and said, “My cousin asked if you’re sick?

Or did you not wake up properly?

Teehee.”

The young girl covered her mouth and laughed, her body shaking like a flowering branch.

Leaving Lin Zifeng with nothing but a bitter smile.

“Huahua had breakfast.”

“I’m coming.”

The young girl wiggled her hips and hopped like a rabbit.

“Huahua, you’re in a good mood today, huh?”

At the dining table, Nangong Bing’s face was lightly made up, and she smiled slightly, emanating the aura of a mature woman, graceful and elegant, especially the way she ate her steak with knife and fork – regal, dignified and befitting of her status.

At the dining table, Hua Buqi still couldn’t help but to suppress a smile.

“Cousin, it’s nothing, I just get especially happy, particularly delighted, when I see someone getting the short end of the stick,” she said, her little head bent down as she sipped on her milk.

Without any courtesy, Lin Zifeng made his way to the dining table and grabbed a steak, sinking his teeth into it with large, voracious bites.

He looked like a starved ghost reincarnated, which caused Nangong Bing’s pretty brows to furrow repeatedly.

Remembering the incident in the elevator, she found him disgusting, and watching him eat only intensified the feeling.

“Ah!”

With a purposefully heavy sigh, Lin Zifeng played his part.

Instantly, Hua Buqi perked up.

“What’s wrong, Uncle?

Sighing so early in the morning?” she asked.

Hua Buqi knew exactly what was going on and deliberately poked at Lin Zifeng’s sore spot.

“It’s nothing, just that this morning I made a pot of noodles and a cup of ‘Vanilla Ice Delight’ only to have them snatched away by some little mouse.

Ah, my heart aches.”

Hearing the pain in Lin Zifeng’s voice, Hua Buqi wanted to burst out laughing but managed to hold it back, pursing her lips and saying innocently, “If a mouse eats your food, that’s your good fortune.”

“Ah!

This morning, it took forever to find water for the noodles, so I ended up using the hot water from the bathroom heater,” Lin Zifeng said nonchalantly.

Instantly, the girl’s eyes widened like gongs, and she swallowed hard, feeling a wave of nausea in her stomach!

Could it be that the noodles she ate this morning were made with his bathwater?

Feeling somewhat disgusted, Hua Buqi then hurriedly asked, “What about your ‘Vanilla Ice Delight’?

What did you make it with?”

She had a hunch that Lin Zifeng’s ‘Vanilla Ice Delight’ might not be much better than the noodles.

“Hehe, I couldn’t find any cream for that ‘Vanilla Ice Delight’, so I found a pack of cream-filled biscuits, ate all of them, then scraped off the cream filling bit by bit.

And for the ‘Vanilla Ice Delight’, I couldn’t find vanilla, so I squeezed out toothpaste instead, mixed it all together— not only was the color bright, but the flavor wasn’t bad either.

I thought I’d experiment, but little did I know that mouse had such courage, to eat it all up, hehe.”

As Lin Zifeng continued, Hua Buqi nearly covered her mouth with her hand, her starry eyes beginning to show signs of retching, and it wouldn’t have been surprising if she had vomited on the spot.

With her emotions swinging wildly, her small delicate chest began to shake violently—clearly, she was trembling with anger.

Nangong Bing noticed something was off but couldn’t call it out just yet.

So, she kept her head down and silently ate her steak, while in her heart she was cursing Lin Zifeng countless times over.

“Hehe, just wondering if that big old mouse noticed any unusual flavors?

Was there anything off-tasting, huh?” Lin Zifeng said with a teasing smirk, chuckling incessantly, as he purposefully leaned his head towards Hua Buqi.

His words only intensified the feeling of nausea in Hua Buqi, to the point where she began to feel there really was a strange taste when she ate it.

Her complexion turned pale as she looked unsettled.

Eventually, she couldn’t contain her imagination that went far beyond the present, and the thought of the nauseating substances almost drove her mad.

She hurriedly ran toward the bathroom.

“Hehe.”

Lin Zifeng, however, laughed cheerfully, acting as if it was no big deal.

Nangong Bing’s delicate brows furrowed slightly.

“What you said just now, it wasn’t true, right?”

Although she found the guy in front of her annoying, doing something as disgusting as that seemed unlikely!

Surely, even if Huahua, a young girl, had offended him, he wouldn’t resort to such means to deal with her, right?
