Urban All-Round Master

33: Chapter 33: Effeminate 33: Chapter 33: Effeminate Lin Zifeng took out a cigarette and handed one to him.

“Here, brother, we low-level security guards earn just over three thousand a month in dead wages.

When we encounter such people, we better not offend anyone.

After all, their positions are higher than ours.

To put it bluntly, if they say just one word, the company could very well fire us immediately.

So, let’s just punch the card for him first.”

Lin Zifeng is considered half an insider now, after all, everyone is working as a security guard; Jia Zhenjing might be sleazy, but he isn’t heartless.

Fearing that Fan Jian might come back and cause trouble, he simply chose to punch in the card and save the hassle.

It’s better to avoid unnecessary trouble.

“No way!

Why should we punch his card?

Can’t he use his own hands and feet?” Lin Zifeng’s expression turned slightly cold.

“Brother, listen to me.

We can’t afford to offend that son of a gun.

If you don’t punch his card today, believe it or not, by this time tomorrow, you’ll be sleeping soundly at home.

So, keeping our heads down isn’t a big deal.

After all, I’ve been in the company for many years, and I’ve seen through the petty affairs here very clearly.”

Jia Zhenjing was surprisingly frank in what he shared with Lin Zifeng.

If it were anyone else, this shrewd guy would definitely not say a word.

“Heh, if someone else doesn’t clock in, why should we bother?

I want to see just how powerful his backers are.”

“Fine!

Since you like a challenge, go ahead then.

I’ve also heard that you have some connections with Tianyu Group’s most aloof and beautiful president, Nangong Bing.

Is that true?”

Jia Zhenjing’s sleazy nature finally burst forth, no wonder he could only ever be a lowly security guard over the years.

“Jia Bro, you know about this too?” Lin Zifeng asked with an exaggerated expression.

“Haha, who do you think I am?

I’d definitely know about this kind of small matter.

I could even guess which underwear the girls in the company are wearing, heh heh.”

“Impressive!

Impressive.”

“Don’t mention it, don’t mention it.

Just to brag a bit, in this company, almost everyone and everything, I know it all, inside and out!”

It seems these two guys are quite fated to meet!

One loves to boast, and the other is a loyal listener, a rare perfect match.

“Then tell me about the specifics inside our group.”

“Little Lin!

If you asked about something else, I might not tell, but if you ask about the company, I’m like a living history book of the company.

I joined the company early on and through my many years of inquiry and awareness, the deeper the waters inside the bigger the group, the more complicated they are!”

“Well, tell me more about it.”

Lin Zifeng took out another cigarette, kindly offered him one, and then lit one for himself.

In this setting, it seems only cigarettes can lead to networking.

It’s best to play dumb, that way everyone can get along smoothly, because nowadays, if you want to show off, you need some capital.

Without capital, showing off is just plain foolish.

“You might see the company as calm and harmonious, but in reality, especially in such large corporations, there’s constant open and secret battles among the white-collars.

Although it looks peaceful on the surface, everyone would love to see you fail.

For instance, if there’s any misconduct in the style of a department head, they become the focus of public attention in the company.

As the saying goes, the nail that sticks out gets hammered down; too pretentious or arrogant, and you die earlier than others.

Every position is not easy to maintain, just like our lousy security job, even though it’s a dead-end, at least it’s a peaceful one.”

Jia Zhenjing took a deep drag on his cigarette and said, “So, Little Lin, if you run into a situation like today, I advise you to keep a low profile.

What does it matter?

It’s not a big deal to bow your head.”

“Heh, Jia Bro, you see things more clearly.

It seems I still have a lot to learn from you,” Lin Zifeng complimented him continuously.

“Let’s go!

Let’s go to the security department and check out the latest CDs of Teacher Cang, which I’ve recently acquired.

They are truly collector’s items.”

Jia Zhenjing bent down and glanced around with eyes gleaming brightly.

His face sported a sleazy smile, and his small eyes were filled with unsavory thoughts.

“Forget it, go ahead, Jia Bro.

It’s my first day at work after all, I need to familiarize myself with the office environment.

When I’m free, we can hang out together, how does that sound?”

Hearing Lin Zifeng delaying, Jia Zhenjing’s smile gradually subsided.

“That works too.

Then you take your time to get to know the inside of the company today.

I’ll go enjoy myself now.

When we have a day off, I’ll take you to the most famous barbershop street in Zhonghai City.”

As he spoke, he winked at Lin Zifeng.

“Blow the whistle for me!

Blow the whistle…”

Just then, Jia Zhenjing’s pocket suddenly erupted with the ringtone of a knockoff cellphone, playing that heart-wrenching, nauseating tune.

Lin Zifeng couldn’t help but frown.

This guy really was a piece of work!

Even his ringtone was different from everyone else’s.

“Hehe, brother, I’ve got a call.

I need to head out first.

If you need anything, just come find me at the security department, bro.

I’m off now.”

“You do you.”

Lin Zifeng was almost forcing a smile as he greeted him.

After Jia Zhenjing left, Lin Zifeng essentially just familiarized himself with the internal and external environment of Tianyu Group.

And not to mention, the location of Tianyu Group really was impressive.

It was situated in the center of Zhonghai City, backed by the Huangpu River, leaning on the East Pearl, next to the most bustling district in town, and surrounded by many prestigious schools and higher education institutions!

Like Zhonghai University!

Eastern Pearl School… and so on.

Overall, the location of Tianyu Group was excellent, which even further highlighted Tianyu Group’s substantial capital and background.

Lin Zifeng was walking within the external area of Tianyu Group, and honestly, Tianyu Group was just too big.

Lin Zifeng had almost spent a whole morning, and still hadn’t fully gotten familiar with the areas.

It seemed that to fully familiarize oneself with the entire Tianyu Group would probably take some time, and he guessed he probably wouldn’t be accustomed to it soon.

“Hm?”

But just then, Lin Zifeng inadvertently noticed the black bracelet on his wrist suddenly flashed!

…

“What!

I didn’t clock in this morning when I came to work?

Who the hell said that?

Which bastard said I didn’t clock in?

You bring that guy to me!”

Within the Marketing Department’s Director Office, Fan Jian was furiously berating a female duty officer in front of him.

Just now, when the Duty Department checked the attendance records for the day, they found out that Fan Jian hadn’t clocked in!

They immediately informed and checked on Fan Jian, but the report had hardly come out when Fan Jian almost battered the new girl from the Duty Department to death.

She was trembling all over from anger.

After all, he was the director of the group’s advertising and marketing department, and now someone was questioning his attendance?

An inspection?

Wasn’t that a direct insult, a blatant slap in the face?

“Mr.

Fan, please don’t be angry, our Duty Department will definitely give you a satisfactory response, and we will make sure your attendance for today is recorded.

Please calm down, sir.”

The young girl was obviously new, lacking experience in how she spoke and handled matters, and she was absolutely trembling with fear under Fan Jian’s intimidating presence.

She kept apologizing incessantly, her head bowed, as if she could burst into tears at any moment.

She was also well aware that working in such a large group wasn’t as simple as one might imagine; although the pay was good, the difficulty of the job was way harder than at an ordinary corporation.

Especially in such a multinational group where she had to deal with all kinds of people every day, any incident could be major.

If she accidentally offended someone, she might not even know how she got fired.

“Damn it!

What is wrong with you Duty Department people?

Do you even doubt my full attendance as the director of advertising planning?”

Fan Jian stood with one hand on his hip, the other pinching an extremely awkward pointer finger, and his voice was particularly delicate.

Coupled with his fair skin and his gender-neutral outfit, he really was a bizarre sight.

But according to their department, this was fashion.

This was the trend, because their department was the face of the entire company.

If the corporation wanted to develop future prospects, it must have its own fashion brand trends.
