After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1340: Chapter 1344: She Is Also a Victim

Dragged out of the hospital room, Seo Fei’s face showed little expression at this moment, revealing no signs of joy or sorrow.

Watching Seo Fei sit in the armed transport vehicle waiting outside, Leng Zirui immediately sat beside Seo Shaochuan in the rear.

”Let’s go!”

With his command, the convoy slowly departed the hospital and soon arrived at the court. Seo Fei was brought to the defendant’s stand, and the prosecutor quickly took their position.

A lawyer in a dark gray suit also entered and sat beside Seo Fei, acting as her defense attorney.

Although Seo Fei had a foreign identity, due to the special nature of her charges, extradition was refused. However, according to international legal conventions, she had the right to her own lawyer, and this lawyer was arranged for her.

After the court session began, the prosecutor detailed Seo Fei’s evidence of guilt, and some evidence was presented, including surveillance footage of her spying on the Leng Family and some evidence of her relationship with Tang Ming.

Throughout the process, Seo Fei’s expression remained calm, as if the whole matter had nothing to do with her.

The lawyer adjusted his glasses, unobtrusively sliding a document towards her, and gently nudged her arm under the table.

Seo Fei turned her face in confusion, only to see the lawyer’s eyes looking at her from behind his glasses, with a hint of suggestion in his gaze.

Following the direction of his eyes, Seo Fei looked at the document the lawyer handed over, which had a line of penciled words—”Strive for parole; you can avoid prison.”

Reading this line, Seo Fei’s once hopeless heart was instantly filled with a glimmer of hope.

Could he be one of Tang Ming’s people?!

After hearing Leng Zirui’s words that day, Seo Fei had given up. Now, seeing this line of words, she felt hopeful once again.

No one wants to spend their life in prison, and of course, neither does she.

She was willing to plead with Shen Yizhou and Leng Zirui, simply to seek a chance for freedom.

”Defendant Seo Fei, do you have anything to say?” the judge asked sternly from the main seat.

Seo Fei was startled and hurriedly stood up from her chair, ”I... I plead guilty, but I would like to request the judge to consider my pregnancy and allow me to serve the initial two years of my sentence outside prison!”

The judge nodded slightly and gestured for her to sit down.

The prosecutor immediately stood up, ”Your Honor, we believe the defendant’s crime is severe and not suitable for parole.”

”Your Honor,” the defense lawyer gently brushed some eraser dust off the documents, stood up, ”The defendant indeed committed an unforgivable crime, but she did everything under Tang Ming’s influence. As a woman and a mother, she is also a victim herself.”

He took out a document, ”This is Miss Seo’s medical report, indicating that due to a peculiar uterus, she is at high risk of miscarriage. According to legal provisions, her condition permits treatment outside prison, allowing her to serve her sentence outside...”

In the audience seats.

”This defense lawyer wasn’t arranged by us, how come he’s so considerate of Seo Fei?” Seo Shaochuan asked softly.

Leng Zirui squinted slightly, looking at the defense lawyer, his gaze sweeping over the pencil and eraser on his table, a hint of an unusual color in his eyes, ”Have someone check his background.”

Soon, the trial ended.

Seo Fei was sentenced to life imprisonment on the spot, and her request for parole was denied.

”Don’t worry, I will help you appeal,” the defense lawyer comfortingly patted Seo Fei’s arm, ”We... will see each other again!”

Goodnight.
