After Chen Fei hung up, Wang Dashan immediately found Chief Luo Yuanzhi’s number and dialed it.

”Hello, Director Wang? How is the situation on your end? Young Chen, he...” Upon receiving Wang Dashan’s call, Chief Luo Yuanzhi was obviously anxious. Even his usually jovial tone became quite solemn and filled with worry. There was no helping it. This matter was no small issue. If that kid couldn’t hold back his temper and erupted, there would be real trouble.

”Chief Luo, I just received a call from Chief Instructor Chen,” Wang Dashan said, pausing for a moment.

”Speak!”

Hearing this, Chief Luo Yuanzhi’s tone suddenly sharpened with gravity.

”Yes, Chief Luo, it’s like this...” Wang Dashan responded and then briefly explained the situation.

”Ah, this kid... It seems he’s really angry this time,” Chief Luo sighed after listening.

Even though he was only hearing the account secondhand from Wang Dashan, he could still feel an indescribable chill. He knew that Wang Dazhi and Chen Weishan were truly done for this time... but now there was another problem. The Chen Family of Capital City was not to be trifled with, and their Flying Leopard couldn’t afford to provoke them either.

”...Chief Luo, what do we do now?” Wang Dashan had obviously guessed Chief Luo’s concerns, which were the same as his own, but he could neither ignore nor defy Chen Fei’s orders.

”Arrest them first. We’ll sort it out later,” Chief Luo Yuanzhi said over the phone, not even pausing to consider. ”I don’t know what conflict exists between the Chen Family and Young Chen, but there’s a principle that you don’t involve family. They’ve truly gone too far this time, and they’ve shown far too little respect for our Flying Leopard.”

Chen Fei was the current Chief Instructor of the Flying Leopard. Even if it was just a nominal position outside the official organization, he still represented the face of the Flying Leopard! What was the Chen Family thinking this time? They had brought the trouble right to his family’s doorstep. What was that if not a blatant disregard for the Flying Leopard?

Moreover, the other important thing was that the young man, Chen Fei, was absolutely furious right now. Even Luo Yuanzhi didn’t dare try to reason with him, fearing he might provoke the young man’s vicious nature, which would lead to complete disaster.

Just think about it. Because of a single assassination attempt, he personally traveled thousands of miles to Italy to wipe out a first-class international assassin organization! Chen Fei had such an extreme personality. Now that he had been bullied right at his home and his mother had been harassed, how could he possibly let it go?

It was already quite impressive that he hadn’t turned the world upside down yet.

”Alas.”

At this thought, even Chief Luo Yuanzhi couldn’t help but sigh worriedly and murmur to himself. Hasn’t the Chen Family of Capital City been barely able to fend for itself recently? Why are they still stirring up trouble... Ugh, I just hope this doesn’t blow up. Otherwise, things will get truly chaotic, and that’s just completely unnecessary.

Although the Old Chen Family of the Forty-Nine City had lost its patriarch some time ago and was now in a difficult and chaotic state, a dying camel is still bigger than a horse. The name of a top Red Nobility was no joke. In anyone’s eyes, they were a behemoth.

However, that being said, the problem was that Young Chen Fei was no pushover now! With Old Master Xuu backing him, who did he need to fear?

Besides having Old Master Xuu’s support, the young man himself was a thorn, a very sharp and prickly one at that. After all, even the Tiger Leopard Hall, a malignant cancer that had festered in the Three Provinces of Lingnan for decades, had been thoroughly eradicated by his hand. He left none above the Innate level alive or accounted for—all were either dead or had vanished. The implications of that required no further explanation.

At least, in Luo Yuanzhi’s current judgment, even without Old Master Xuu’s support, the Chen Family of today probably couldn’t do anything to Young Chen.

After all, an Ancient Martial Artist of that level was no joke. The danger they posed was too great, so even the country would be deeply wary of them.

”Alright, I know what to do now. Chief Luo, I’ll hang up first.” With that, Wang Dashan ended the call, clearly knowing his next steps.

Sometimes, power in the open seems impressive, but the truly terrifying power is what lies hidden in the shadows. Much like the special departments and secret agent organizations in movies and TV shows, the extent of their power is completely unimaginable to ordinary people or low-level officials and police officers. The authority they wielded was just as astonishing.

Ancient times had the Imperial Sword, granting the authority to execute first and report later, did they not? The power held by a special department like the Flying Leopard was, in some ways, quite similar.

They could even ”execute first” *without* having to ”report later,” as long as no truly influential people or factions were involved. That was the most chilling and shocking part! After all, who wouldn’t fear a sword that could be hanging over their neck at any moment? The mere thought was enough to make one’s skin crawl.

And for reasons both public and private, the matter concerning Chief Instructor Chen Fei had long been classified as a top priority within the Flying Leopard. Because if a person like him were provoked, it could, in the most serious terms, endanger national security.

Thus, as Wang Dashan personally led his men toward the West City Police Station in Chengyang County, he also relayed a series of orders. In an instant, the Flying Leopard, that colossal special department, roared to life like a well-oiled machine.

In just about ten minutes, a complete and detailed file on Wang Dazhi, the deputy director of the West City Police Station in Chengyang County, was displayed on his computer screen. It turned out the man was no good at all. Not only did he use his power to embezzle and accept bribes, acting as a protective umbrella for local forces of evil, but he had also committed several rapes, all of which he had managed to cover up with money and power.

Normally, a massive special department like the Flying Leopard, which operated across the Three Provinces of Lingnan, wouldn’t bother with a deputy chief of a small county police station like Wang Dazhi. But once they decided to investigate and take action against such a person, it was almost laughably easy.

Subsequently, Wang Dashan personally led his men into the West City Police Station in Chengyang County, stuck the cold barrel of a gun to the head of the flustered Wang Dazhi, and took him away directly. If this Deputy Director Wang had been an honest and upstanding officer, they might have felt a pang of guilt. But this man was obviously scum, so there was no room for pity.

It was only when Wang Dashan and his men personally showed up that Wang Dazhi realized with horror that what Director Zhu Qianye had told him over the phone was no joke. It was real.

In the end, with a face full of despair, he was led away by members of the Flying Leopard, a cold gun barrel pressed against his head. The evidence of his crimes was all there, not a single piece missing—more than enough to lock him away for life, or even sentence him to death. The few junior officers who had participated in the day’s events were also taken away with him.

Since Wang Dashan had come out personally, he wasn’t just there for Wang Dazhi. If you pull a weed, you pull it out by the roots, leaving nothing behind.

Therefore, everyone involved in today’s incident was taken away under suspicion of endangering national security. If these people were clean, they would be fine. If they weren’t... heheh... sorry about that.

Chen Fei hadn’t expected that a single sentence from him would cause those junior officers to suffer as well. But even if he had known, he certainly wouldn’t have cared. After all, he still hadn’t found an outlet for the fire burning inside him.

Meanwhile, Chen Weishan, who had left Chengyang County in disgrace, sat in his Bentley with a gloomy, twisted expression on his face. He was gritting his teeth, muttering curses under his breath. For someone of his status and position—a scion of the Old Chen Family of Capital City and a deputy bureau-level official in the Ministry of Public Security—to suffer such a great humiliation in a place like Chengyang County was simply unacceptable.

DING DING DING...

Just then, his phone rang.

His eyes lit up. He quickly pulled out his phone and answered. ”Hello, Dad, it’s me. Why didn’t you answer my call? You don’t know what I...”

”I was busy. Shouldn’t you be in Jiangnan? How did it go? Did that bitch agree?” an impatient, elderly voice came from the phone. The speaker was none other than Chen Weishan’s father, Chen Huaqin of the Chen Family. It sounds like he knew about his son’s private excursion... Could it be...?

”Dad, you have no idea how ungrateful that bitch is. I told her clearly who I was. I even told her that if she just did as I said, she’d be accepted into our Chen Family. But... but Dad, do you know how she answered me?” Chen Weishan said through gritted teeth, a vindictive light flashing in his eyes.

”What did she say?” Chen Huaqin frowned on the other end of the line, his voice slow.

”She... she actually said she looks down on our Old Chen Family now! And-and she even had the gall to say our Old Chen Family can’t compare to the Xuu Family! Pfft! What does she think she is?! Who the hell does she think she is? If it weren’t for her son, does she really think our Old Chen Family would give a damn about a country bumpkin, a cheap bitch like her?” Chen Weishan’s face twisted as he spat out the words. As he cursed, the jealousy and resentment in his eyes burned even more fiercely.

He was Chen Weishan! After graduating from a prestigious university at a young age, he had effortlessly joined the Ministry of Public Security with the help of his father and the Old Chen Family. In recent years, he had even climbed to the position of a deputy bureau-level official. How glamorous was that? Didn’t everyone he met address him respectfully as Director Chen? He had thought that for a ’great personage’ like himself to personally visit this poor backwater to ask a favor of her was doing her an immense honor. What a privilege it should have been for her! But not only did that bitch refuse, she was so ungrateful, scolding him fiercely. She even used that mocking tone, acting as if she was something special, saying she looked down on the Chen Family.

That bitch! Wasn’t it just because her son stepped in some dog shit and got lucky enough to cure Old Master Xuu’s illness? Without Old Master Xuu backing them, what the hell was a country bumpkin like her worth!?

Talk about sour grapes.
