”HISS!”

After dislocating the arm of the Biochemical Warrior Dom, Chen Fei had assumed this would temporarily neutralize one of his opponent’s arms. To his surprise, however, Dom let out a hoarse groan as the joints and muscles in his arm began to squirm strangely. With a series of crackling sounds, the dislocated arm snapped right back into place.

Seeing this, even Chen Fei paused for a moment, a cold light flashing in his dark eyes.

”Interesting,” he murmured, licking his lips with a fierce expression. He clenched his fist, his fingers flexing, and a sword-shaped flame materialized silently in his palm. The immense, surging heat shocked everyone present, making their scalps tingle and their faces freeze in utter astonishment.

”What is that!? Don’t tell me that in addition to being an Ancient Martial Artist of Huaxia, he’s also a Fire Element Abilities User from our Western Dark World?” the blonde, blue-eyed American, O’Kenney, exclaimed in shock.

In his experience, only Fire Element Abilities Users from the Western Dark World could wield such high-temperature flames barehanded. Not even advanced Biochemical Warriors were capable of it!

But how old is that kid? With such terrifying thermal energy, he’d have to be at least an A+ Level Fire Element Abilities User, right? So how could a person of Huaxia, who looks to be in his twenties, possibly do it!?

”Brother Shang, is... is that an ability? Could Brother Fei also be an Ability User?” Dong Jianhui asked, his face a mask of disbelief.

For an Ancient Martial Artist to also be an Ability User was no small matter. Historically, very few had ever managed such a feat, let alone someone as young as Brother Fei, who was only in his twenties.

Brother Zhou Shang slowly shook his head. ”No, it’s not a Fire Element ability. It seems to be some kind of ancient internal martial arts technique.”

”You... damn you...”

”HISS!”

Just as everyone was reeling from shock, the Biochemical Warrior Dom’s ghostly green pupils suddenly contracted. He let out a hoarse, piercing roar like a venomous snake about to strike, and a frigid aura instantly enveloped the area, chilling the air.

Following that, Dom’s body writhed, and the palm of his hand morphed into something resembling a gun barrel. It was pitch-black and menacing, with a large caliber. Small, bulb-like objects around it lit up in an instant, and a shudder-inducing wave of power surged from within the dark barrel.

Chen Fei’s eyes narrowed slightly, as he sensed a dangerous aura emanating from it.

”Brother Chen, be careful! That’s a laser weapon!” It wasn’t just Chen Fei; upon seeing this, Brother Zhou Shang’s expression changed drastically. His body trembled as a wave of danger washed over his heart, and he roared the warning.

It was evident this wasn’t the first time he had seen such a device; he had suffered at its hands before. It was a laser weapon!

WHIRR...

A terrible power began to brew within the dark gun barrel in Dom’s palm. It rapidly concentrated and then shot out a laser beam. Carrying an awe-inspiring momentum, it streaked toward Chen Fei, crackling with thunderous energy. This was actually the legendary laser weapon!

BOOM!

The device was truly astonishing. Before the terrifying wave of energy even touched anything, it was already radiating shockwaves. They spread outward in concentric circles at a horrifying speed, causing the faces of O’Kenney, Zhou Shang, and Dong Jianhui to pale in alarm.

”Get back! Get the hell out of the way!” O’Kenney shouted, retreating frantically without a second’s hesitation, his face trembling as if he knew the dire consequences.

A few seconds after he moved back, the invisible shockwave swept through, cracking the ground and whipping up a furious whirlwind.

”Damn it,” Brother Zhou Shang cursed, his expression hardening. He took a step forward, shielding Dong Jianhui, as a faint blue gleam emanated from his body, forming a protective barrier. As a result, he was largely unaffected.

”Heh...”

At that moment, a faint chuckle seemed to drift into everyone’s ears. They saw Chen Fei slowly raise his head, his dark pupils reflecting the image of the laser blasting toward him with the force of a tsunami. Yet his expression wasn’t as grave as they expected. In fact, he looked calm?

As expected of the Americans’ high-tech creations. I have to admit, this Biochemical Warrior did give me a scare, Chen Fei thought to himself. But to think something of this level could make me, Chen Fei, bow my head? That isn’t very realistic, is it?

BOOM!

With that thought, a towering aura erupted from his body. A blade-like glint shot from his dark, clear eyes, followed by threads of fire that sprayed from his palm, coiling madly around the sword-shaped flame in his hand.

In an instant, a sword of fire took form in his grasp.

”Cut!”

Following his roar, the flaming sword in Chen Fei’s hand chopped straight ahead as if to obliterate the very space before him, cleaving toward the laser.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Everyone heard a series of deafening explosions. A torrent of searing heat burst forth, enveloping the flaming sword as it corroded the laser beam and roiled the air. For a moment, they seemed to be locked in a stalemate, but in the next instant, the sword sliced the laser clean in half. Its force, unabated, continued onward, slashing toward the Biochemical Warrior Dom’s arm.

SQUELCH!

A dull, wet sound was heard as a figure was sent flying backward, crashing hard against the outer wall of the training field with a muffled thud that sent tremors through the structure. A trail of blood smeared the ground in his wake, an eerie, dark green.

”What!?”

”Impossible! Dom is such a powerful Biochemical Warrior, how could he be defeated!?” O’Kenney stared, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Dom is a Biochemical Warrior ranked in the top three of the Houston Family’s power index, yet he was defeated here, by a mere person of Huaxia! It’s inconceivable! And what did I just witness? That kid... he actually withstood a laser weapon head-on! What does that even mean? The thought was too terrifying for O’Kenney to contemplate.

”You...” The Biochemical Warrior Dom lay in a pathetic heap in the corner, a mouthful of dark green blood spraying from his lips. His zombie-like face was ghastly pale, his eyes filled with shock and a sense of the absurd.

He couldn’t imagine how his opponent had withstood his laser weapon directly... It’s simply... By now, he was beginning to understand. Chen Fei had been toying with him from the start. Anyone who could face down a laser like that had to be at least an S Level Entity. If a person of that caliber wanted to kill him, he would have no chance of survival. The gap in their power levels was just too immense.

”Worthy of being an Innate Ancient Martial Artist. Such strength is simply frightening, to be able to confront a laser weapon head-on...” Brother Zhou Shang sighed softly, his expression complex. I remember back in America, even at my Half-Step Innate Realm, I could only retreat from a laser weapon. Those things are too dangerous to face directly. But now... who could have imagined that a young man in his twenties could achieve such a feat? Not only does he have the cultivation level of an Innate Ancient Martial Artist, but he can also withstand a laser. His strength is truly terrifying, absolutely horrifying!

”Is that all you’ve got? I was expecting more of a surprise from you.”

Inside the training field, Chen Fei stood holding his sword of fire. The flames roared, yet miraculously, they didn’t even singe his clothes or skin.

He calmly looked down at the battered Dom and said flatly, ”It seems your so-called high-tech Biochemical Warriors have far too many obvious drawbacks. If I had aimed that last strike at your head, you’d already be dead, wouldn’t you?”

His body is too weak. That was Chen Fei’s sole evaluation of the Biochemical Warrior before him.

In truth, if he hadn’t been holding back, if he hadn’t avoided his opponent’s vitals, this so-called battle would have been over long ago. The man would never have had the chance to fire that laser. Because of this, he was actually a little disappointed. As expected, products of rushed growth are flawed. Not only is their potential for advancement completely severed, but their weaknesses are also glaring. A slightly more targeted attack would likely finish them for good. How utterly dull...

Hearing this, the Biochemical Warrior Dom’s dark green pupils flickered. He seemed unconvinced, but he obediently kept his mouth shut. Before, he hadn’t known the extent of Chen Fei’s strength. Now that he did, how could he dare to be insolent?

”Heh heh.”

Just then, a light chuckle sounded. The impatient look on Chen Fei’s face froze. His pupils flashed as he turned his head and silently stared toward the source of the sound. There, to everyone’s surprise, an elderly foreign man with white hair and blue eyes had appeared, though no one knew when.

Upon getting a clear look at the white-haired, blue-eyed foreigner’s face, O’Kenney, the other foreigners behind him, and even the Biochemical Warrior Dom were all startled. Their expressions changed rapidly as they bowed deeply to the figure, their manner solemn and deferential.

”Honored Lord Benson, what brings you... here in person!?”

At that, the elderly figure gave a hoarse chuckle. To the shocked horror of the onlookers, he walked on air, descending into the training field and slowly approaching them. He lifted his head, revealing a face full of wrinkles but brimming with a strange vitality. His eyes were particularly striking—profound, yet deeply sinister.

”If I hadn’t come, you bunch of good-for-nothings would have offended a great personage you cannot afford to offend... wouldn’t you agree, sir?” he asked, not even glancing at O’Kenney’s group. His gaze was fixed solely on Chen Fei, a sinister chuckle escaping his lips.

”A great personage? Are you referring to me? That sounds rather flattering...”

Chen Fei replied with a smile, his eyes narrowing. A strange light flickered in their dark, clear depths, and his expression, finally, began to grow grave.

This old man... is he an S Level Ability User?!
