”It seems I’ve truly witnessed something incredible today. But so what if you’re at the Innate Level? Brother Chen, I ask for your guidance.” Even as Zhou Shang found himself completely enveloped by Chen Fei’s powerful aura, this resolute voice suddenly rang out, followed by a brilliant flash of light.

BOOM!

Out of nowhere, a layer of azure light had cloaked Zhou Shang’s body. The light seemed infused with formidable power, releasing an intimidating aura.

What a peculiar internal energy... Chen Fei couldn’t help but narrow his eyes, a hint of interest touching his lips.

Generally speaking, the techniques cultivated by Ancient Martial Artists are divided into internal and external types. External techniques involve brute strength training, the most famous of which are likely the Iron Sand Palm and Golden Bell Shield often seen on television.

Internal techniques, on the other hand, involve the cultivation of ’qi.’ The Divine Skill of the Holy Fire Token of the Holy Fire Sect that Chen Fei had previously encountered, and the skill now being displayed by Zhou Shang, both belonged to this category.

”This is the ’Azure Shadow Mystical Yang Technique.’ I found it by a stroke of luck in Yunling Mountain, and it’s said to be the Sect-Suppressing Law of a grand Martial Forest sect from hundreds of years ago. Brother Chen, be careful,” Zhou Shang said slowly, seemingly having heard Chen Fei’s murmur.

Then, with a sharp CLANG, his hand suddenly clenched into a hawk’s claw. His body moved, and he took the initiative to lunge at Chen Fei.

He now clearly understood that his own Cultivation Realm was inferior to Chen Fei’s. If he didn’t strike first, he might not even get a chance to act at all. That was not an outcome he was willing to accept, so he had to seize the initiative and make the first move!

”Interesting.”

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Zhou Shang’s attack was lightning-fast. It was so fast that even Dong Jianhui, watching from outside the ring, could only see a blur before the attack was already upon Chen Fei, leaving him thoroughly shaken and utterly dumbfounded.

Chen Fei’s reflexes, however, were even more astonishing. He murmured softly and leaned forward, then suddenly launched himself into the air. He threw a punch, colliding fiercely with his opponent’s strikes and unleashing a dazzling flurry of powerful, flesh-on-flesh impacts.

Since this was not a life-or-death battle, Chen Fei did not resort to any Cultivator techniques, instead fighting purely with the methods of an Ancient Martial Artist.

Even so, Chen Fei’s physical constitution was simply too strong. The Spiritual Energy in his body surged forth automatically with each attack, coating his fists and feet. To Zhou Shang, every collision felt like striking a steel plate. In just a few moments, his joints were already red and throbbing with excruciating pain.

Damn it, why is his body so hard? Even someone like Zhou Shang couldn’t help but grimace and grit his teeth in frustration.

It was common knowledge that as Ancient Martial Artists reached higher cultivation levels, their physical bodies would indeed become stronger and stronger. The problem was, he had truly never encountered anyone with a body as hard as Chen Fei’s.

Could he be an Innate Ancient Martial Artist who specializes in external, brute-strength techniques?

ROAR!

Though shaken to his core, Zhou Shang refused to admit defeat. Biting his lip, he channeled all the Dark Energy from his internal technique into the bones of his right leg. He leaned back slightly, then unleashed a vicious whip kick at Chen Fei’s waist with terrifying force.

”A good move.”

A sharp light flashed in Chen Fei’s eyes. He let out a great shout and threw a punch to meet the attack. His entire being radiated the wild, unyielding, and ferocious aura of a forest king as his fist crashed into Zhou Shang’s whip kick.

A dull BOOM echoed as they collided. A massive shockwave seemed to surge outwards, forcing the astonished Dong Jianhui to stumble back from the ring.

”My God, are Brother Fei and Brother Shang both monsters?” Dong Jianhui couldn’t help but say with a tremble, his face a mask of shock.

Although he was from a family of Ancient Martial Artists and an heir to the Eight Trigrams Palm, he unfortunately lacked talent in that area. Now in his twenties, he had yet to reach the Third Tier Ancient Martial Artist realm, not even matching his own father. All he could do now was watch.

He never imagined that Brother Fei and Brother Shang could be this powerful. It was simply unheard-of.

ROAR!

Suddenly, Zhou Shang let out another shrieking roar. An azure light erupted from behind him, emanating an extremely sharp aura. His body took on the form of an eagle as he soared into the air, then swooped down, hands shaped into talons, in a frenzied dive!

At that moment, Zhou Shang was like a majestic eagle poised to strike its prey! His eyes blazed with a piercing light, his aura soaring to the heavens, utterly terrifying.

”Green Hawk Hand!” he roared, his face contorted in a frenzy as he seemingly unleashed his most powerful strike.

”Hmph.”

Chen Fei exhaled softly at the sight, a sharp glint flickering in his quiet eyes.

An intense aura suddenly erupted from him, powerful and unstoppable like a bursting dam on the Yellow River. In the blink of an eye, he shot a fist upwards with ferocious power, completely obliterating Zhou Shang’s tactical advantage.

As his fist collided with Zhou Shang’s claws, the crisp CRACK of a bone echoed in everyone’s ears.

HISS!

Zhou Shang gasped in pain and was sent flying backward uncontrollably. His back slammed hard against the ropes at the edge of the ring with a dull THUD! that nearly snapped them. Blood was already dripping from his hand.

”Brother Shang... lost?” Dong Jianhui murmured in a daze. He couldn’t believe that Brother Shang, the invincible champion of the younger generation in his eyes, had actually been defeated.

Dropping his stance, Chen Fei walked over to Zhou Shang. Of course, he couldn’t continue the fight. ”Are you okay?” he asked, sounding a bit apologetic. ”I almost couldn’t hold back on that last hit. My apologies.”

He had been holding back the entire time, but he got carried away in the heat of the moment and nearly lost control.

”It’s nothing. Thank you for showing mercy, Brother Chen,” Zhou Shang said, shaking his head with a bitter smile. He was indeed fine. He could feel that Chen Fei had pulled back at the last second; otherwise, his entire arm might have been crippled.

So this is the power of an Innate Level Ancient Martial Artist? Truly terrifying...

”Let me see your hand.” At that moment, Chen Fei suddenly took Zhou Shang’s injured hand, his eyes narrowing as he examined it closely.

”Looks like I still didn’t hold back enough,” Chen Fei said after a moment of observation. ”Brother Shang, you’ll need to rest this hand for a few days, or it could cause problems later. How about this: I’ll prepare an ointment for you. Take it and apply it for two or three days, and you should be fine.”
