”I have no interest in making friends with you. O’Kenney, do you think this is still America? Or do you believe that bringing that guy here lets you be arrogant and reckless?” Upon hearing this, Brother Zhou Shang’s expression instantly turned cold. He narrowed his eyes and said faintly.

He then turned his head slightly, looking warily at the black-robed man behind the blond, green-eyed O’Kenney. The latter’s head was completely covered by a hood, revealing only a pair of gleaming green eyes that were chilling to the bone.

HISS!

At that moment, a low hiss, like that of a Poison Scorpion, suddenly sounded in everyone’s ears. An inexplicable chill surged into their hearts, compelling them to stare at the black-clad figure with terrified eyes.

The tense, sword-drawn atmosphere instantly froze, becoming even more rigid and filling their eyes with flickering fear.

What on earth is this thing? Even Chen Fei, who had been in high spirits just moments before, couldn’t help but frown. The figure completely shrouded in the black robe gave him the unsettling feeling of not being human. It was eerie.

”Hmph!”

The next moment, the blond O’Kenney snorted coldly. The corner of his mouth twisted into a disdainful and threatening smirk. ”Zhou Shang, I know you’re skilled. But no matter how skilled you are, can you beat Dom? You should know he is the pride of the Houston Family! Now, hand over the item. It’s your only chance to live.”

”What a bold claim!”

Before he could finish, a young-sounding voice cut him off with a cold laugh. It was Chen Fei, who spoke with an indifferent expression, ”I say, are you so used to being arrogant in America that you really think this thing, which is neither human nor ghost, amounts to anything here in Huaxia?”

HISS!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM...

However, the instant Chen Fei finished speaking, before O’Kenney could even reply, the black-robed figure behind him let out a sharp screech.

The figure stepped forward, his robe fluttering and then shattering. A terrifying, oppressive aura swept out like a tidal wave, as cold and sinister as a Poison Scorpion, causing everyone’s expression to change.

”You... want to die?”

The figure could actually speak. Its dark green eyes locked onto Chen Fei as it spat out each chilling word.

At the sight of this, everyone from Brother Zhou Shang to the cold-tempered Li Wan, and especially Dong Jianhui, couldn’t help but turn pale, their faces grave. This monster’s power was truly terrifying.

Only Brother Zhou Shang regained his composure after a moment. He shot a quiet, complex glance at Chen Fei.

He didn’t actually know Chen Fei’s true strength; his thoughts were just speculation. But based on their earlier exchange, he was fairly certain that Chen Fei’s power was, at the very least, on the verge of that legendary realm! So, using him to deal with that monster should be more than enough, right? After all, he’s a legendary Innate Ancient Martial Artist. That’s no joke.

”I want to die?”

Just then, a cold voice spoke up. A terrifying aura, powerful enough to make one’s heart leap, surged forth like a ferocious tiger descending a mountain. Everyone present trembled with shock, their gazes fixed on Chen Fei in utter amazement.

”You... you... how is this possible...” Even the defiant O’Kenney’s expression changed as he stared at Chen Fei, his eyes filled with a bizarre mix of shock and disbelief.

Oh God, what the hell am I seeing right now!? How can a Huaxia man in his twenties possess such a powerful aura, strong enough to stand on equal terms with Dom?

”I think you should get one thing straight. This is Huaxia, not America. If you came here to throw your weight around, you’ve picked the wrong place,” Chen Fei said lightly, the corners of his mouth curving with cold indifference.

His pitch-black eyes, as clear as obsidian, shot out a sharp, icy glint. He stared at the green-eyed bio-warrior and clenched his fist. A provocative smile touched his lips as he said, ”And you. If you’re not convinced, why don’t you give it a try?”

A mighty, tumultuous aura began to flow from him, as vast as a surging sea and as shocking as a violent storm. Its immensity had reached the level of Half-Step Innate Peak, nearly on par with his opponent.

Upon seeing this, the foreigners behind O’Kenney, and even O’Kenney himself, stared wide-eyed. Sweat beaded on their foreheads and their scalps tingled. They simply couldn’t imagine that anyone in Huaxia besides Zhou Shang could reach such a level of power and rival Dom’s aura.

Experts of this caliber weren’t a dime a dozen! Even within their Houston Family, there were no more than five A+ Level bio-warriors—terrifying weapons of war like Dom. Yet now...

The green-eyed bio-warrior, Dom, seemed to hear nothing. His pale, zombie-like face stared intently at Chen Fei, like a Poison Scorpion observing its prey. His gaze was truly chilling. ”You insulted me,” he rasped. ”You should die.”

Chen Fei’s expression shifted slightly. He hadn’t expected such a response, and a hint of apology flashed in his eyes. If he hadn’t been in such a bad mood today, he probably wouldn’t have said what he did.

But he quickly pushed that feeling aside and looked at his opponent coolly. ”So, you come to our Huaxia to run wild, and I’m not supposed to say a few words about it?”

”Run wild? No... I will kill you.” It was obvious the creature’s command of Chinese was poor; it had only understood the words ”run wild.” Its face turned grim.

HISS!

The moment the words left his mouth, a chilling aura, as vicious as a man-eating Poison Scorpion, emanated from him. In an instant, it permeated every nook and cranny of the area, making everyone shiver. A heart-palpitating presence filled the air.

”So cold...” Dong Jianhui subconsciously clutched his clothes, his face trembling.

Both Li Wan and Brother Zhou Shang’s expressions grew deeply solemn. The aura was too astonishing to ignore. Seeing this, O’Kenney’s face finally relaxed a bit. He watched Chen Fei coldly and then flashed a cruel smile. ”Dom, take him down.”

”Yes. At your service.”

The green-pupiled bio-warrior Dom spoke hoarsely and began to step forward. His fingers swept across his waist. The next instant, a flash of cold light burst forth. A silver short knife had somehow unsheathed itself from his body. He transformed into a blur, closing the distance to Chen Fei in a flash of lightning and slashing down.

CLANG!

What followed was merely the sound of metal on metal. A hand had nonchalantly caught the blade.

He had simply caught the blade barehanded, a feat that made everyone’s pupils shrink.

”Hiss! Brother Fei, he’s bleeding?” Dong Jianhui watched in disbelief. Blood, tinged with a shocking green, slowly dripped from the fingers that had caught the blade.

In his mind, his Brother Fei was practically invincible. To see him bleed in the very first exchange was so unexpected it left him stunned.

However, no one else present thought as he did. They were not focused on the bleeding finger but on the astonishing fact that he had caught the knife barehanded.

Dong Jianhui might not have known the bio-warrior’s true capabilities, but the others—O’Kenney, Li Wan, and Zhou Shang—knew perfectly well. They knew that Dom was an A+ Level bio-warrior, comparable to a Half-Step Innate Peak expert. Furthermore, the seemingly unremarkable short knife was a piece of the Houston Family’s high-tech arsenal, terrifyingly sharp enough to pierce tank armor. And yet...

”Interesting. This knife is poisoned?”

At this moment, a cool laugh broke the tension, causing everyone’s expression to change once more.

What... Poisoned?

The green-pupiled bio-warrior Dom didn’t answer. A dark green hue spread across his skin. He tightened his grip on the short knife and lunged at Chen Fei again, the whistling wind his attack created was terrifying.

”Do you really think I won’t act just because you stay silent?” Seeing this, a fierce ruthlessness surged within Chen Fei. He licked his lips and suddenly moved. Pushing off with his feet, he shot forward like an arrow, kicking up a wild wind as his fist began to emanate a reddish, flaming glow.

Although Chen Fei wanted to vent and hadn’t revealed his true strength, his opponent was armed, putting him at a disadvantage. He decided to counter with Sword Qi. Besides, a flaming glow wasn’t unique to his abilities. If anyone asked, he could easily come up with an excuse. He was an Innate Ancient Martial Artist, after all.

BANG! BANG! BANG...

In the next moment, Chen Fei’s flaming fist clashed fiercely with the opponent’s silver short knife. The two of them launched into a dazzling series of clashes, sending out terrifying shockwaves that made the air shriek.

”Try taking one of my punches!” Chen Fei shouted, swinging his fist toward his opponent’s chest as Sword Qi surged from it.

HISS!

Dom instinctively sensed immense danger. At the last possible second, his body trembled and writhed like a snake, allowing him to narrowly evade the punch. A fierce, cold look appeared on his stiff, zombie-like face. With a twist of his wrist, he thrust his knife toward Chen Fei’s chest.

But Chen Fei’s reaction was even faster. He dodged the blade in a flash, propped a hand on the ground, and executed a 180-degree spinning kick, landing his heel squarely on his opponent’s shoulder.

CRACK!

Just from the sound, it was clear the shoulder had been dislocated.

”So... so strong...” Witnessing this terrifying level of combat, even observers like the black-clad Li Wan were left stupefied. They hadn’t expected both fighters to be so powerful. Only Brother Zhou Shang appeared calm, but the hands hidden behind his back were trembling slightly.

His own strength allowed him to see that not only Chen Fei, but the bio-warrior Dom as well, was truly stronger than him. They both firmly suppressed him, a fact that filled him with unwilling resentment.
