Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 169: Chapter 169: Celestial Advancement

CELESTIAL MIND VISUALIZATION - MARS ADDITION

Orion had been thinking about this expansion for days, planning exactly how to integrate Mars into his internal solar system, and his intuition had given him clear guidance: never visualize dead planets in his mindspace, because the visualization affected his cultivation fundamentally and dead worlds would create stagnation rather than vitality.

Mars in physical reality was a dead world—frozen, airless, barren—but Mars in his visualization would be alive, fully terraformed with flowing water and breathable atmosphere and thriving ecosystems, representing potential and possibility rather than desolation.

And Mars had two moons—Phobos and Deimos—which would also be included as living worlds rather than dead rocks.

He sat in lotus position in the preparation area and turned his consciousness inward, entering his mindspace where Sun and Moon and Earth already existed in perfect detail, and began constructing Mars.

His spirit power had grown enormously since completing the second ring halo—what had taken hours and days to build Earth will now take minutes for Mars because his enhanced capability made visualization faster and more precise, and his experience with previous celestial bodies gave him systematic approach to construction.

MARS - TERRAFORMED VERSION

He started with the core: molten iron generating magnetic field that would protect the surface from solar radiation, exactly like Earth’s core but scaled to Martian dimensions.

The mantle: Hot rock circulating through convection, creating tectonic activity that would maintain geological vitality.

The crust: Varied terrain including massive Olympus Mons volcano (largest in the solar system), vast Valles Marineris canyon system (which he filled with a river), polar ice caps made of water ice rather than CO2, and extensive continents and oceans.

The atmosphere: Thick and breathable with 20% oxygen, nitrogen-dominated like Earth, with weather patterns creating clouds and rain and seasons.

The hydrosphere: Oceans covering 40% of the surface, freshwater lakes and rivers throughout continents, underground aquifers, active water cycle.

The biosphere: Vegetation covering continents in green and red-leafed plants (embracing Mars’s iron-rich soil), animals adapted to slightly lower gravity, ecosystems thriving in Martian environment.

The entire planet materialized in his mindspace in three hours of concentrated visualization, and when it was complete he could feel Mars as a living presence, could sense its magnetic field and atmosphere and biosphere, could perceive it as vividly as the Sun and Moon and Earth that already existed in his internal solar system.

PHOBOS AND DEIMOS - LIVING MOONS

The two small moons took less time—each one he visualized not as barren rocks but as vibrant worlds with their own ecosystems, Phobos with vast crystal forests that caught sunlight and Deimos with bioluminescent oceans that glowed softly, and both moons orbited Mars in perfect harmony within his mindspace.

When the visualization was complete—Mars and both moons fully manifested and integrated into his internal solar system—Orion felt his spirit power surge dramatically, the enhancement even more pronounced than when he’d completed the Sun visualization.

His consciousness expanded, his spiritual perception deepened, his connection to celestial bodies strengthened, and he knew instinctively that this foundation would support much more advanced cultivation in the future.

”Mars visualization complete,” he announced, opening his eyes and feeling the increased spiritual power thrumming through his being, ”my internal solar system now includes Sun, Moon, Earth, Mars, Phobos, and Deimos—all visualized as living worlds, all contributing to my spiritual foundation. I actually have more control over my body now.”

”Spiritual enhancement detected,” Rene confirmed through monitoring systems, ”your bioelectric field has intensified measurably, psychic range has expanded, and consciousness seems more cohesive—the visualization technique is providing benefits beyond simple mental exercise.”

”It’s fundamental to my path,” Orion agreed, ”the Celestial Mind Visualization Technique isn’t just practice, it’s building actual spiritual infrastructure that supports all other cultivation—and I’ll continue expanding it as I advance, eventually visualizing the entire solar system and beyond.”

But that was future work. Tonight he had more immediate preparations.

MERIDIAN SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT - 11:00 PM

Orion turned his attention inward again, this time examining his own body at the deepest level his enhanced perception could reach, and he discovered something fascinating that he’d missed before: his body contained structures beyond normal human anatomy, specifically meridians and acupoints that had manifested after first ring halo completion.

THE MERIDIAN SYSTEM

Twelve main meridians running through his body in specific patterns, plus eight extra meridians creating secondary pathways, all of them serving as channels for exotic energy circulation—and Orion realized these were the optimal pathways for energy flow, far more efficient than simple cellular circulation.

The meridians were currently just natural channels, basically hollow pathways through tissue, but Orion saw potential for dramatic improvement: he could give them structural support, could reinforce them with exotic energy itself, could transform them from simple channels into engineered conduits optimized for maximum flow.

He began working systematically, starting with the first main meridian—the Lung Meridian running from chest through arm to hand—and carefully constructing hexagonal mesh pipe structure from exotic energy itself, integrating the mesh into the inner walls of the meridian to widen it, strengthen it, make it capable of handling much greater energy flow.

The hexagonal pattern was important: hexagons were one of nature’s strongest structures, seen in beehives and crystal lattices, providing maximum strength with minimum material, and exotic energy formed into hexagonal mesh created reinforcement that was both flexible and incredibly durable.

Each meridian took careful precision work: constructing the mesh, integrating it into the meridian walls, ensuring it didn’t restrict flow but rather enhanced it, testing energy circulation to confirm improvement, and gradually working through all twenty meridians with systematic thoroughness.

And he modified the Infinite Circulation Method itself, programming it so that whenever he cultivated in the future, tiny hexagonal mesh structures would automatically integrate into the existing framework, gradually strengthening the meridians over time through continuous passive enhancement.

Additionally, exotic energy would be absorbed directly into the meridian cells themselves and into the main hexagonal mesh pipes, making them progressively thicker and stronger with each cultivation session, creating positive feedback loop where cultivation improved the meridians which improved cultivation efficiency which improved the meridians further.

The work took four hours of intense concentration—longer than the Mars visualization because it required such precise manipulation at the cellular level—but when Orion finished reinforcing all twenty meridians he could feel the difference immediately.

”It’s like my whole body can finally breathe,” he said with wonder, testing energy circulation and feeling it flow through the enhanced meridians with ten times the efficiency it had before, ”the meridians were bottlenecks I didn’t realize existed, and now that they’re optimized energy moves through my system like water through pipes instead of like water through gravel.”

THE ACUPOINT SYSTEM

Next he turned attention to the 361 acupoints distributed throughout his body—specific locations where meridians intersected or where energy naturally concentrated—and he realized these could serve as mini batteries, storage points for exotic energy that would give him massive reserves beyond just the Radiant Core.

He entered the cultivation chamber for this work because he needed the concentrated exotic energy from the liquid and crystal sources, and as he sat in lotus position with energy flooding in from all directions, he began systematically filling each acupoint with condensed power.

The energy flowed eagerly toward the acupoints, recognizing them as natural collection points, and Orion guided the absorption carefully, filling each acupoint to maximum capacity before moving to the next, creating 361 separate power reservoirs throughout his body.

Each acupoint could hold energy density comparable to his Radiant Core—which was staggering when he considered that meant he now had 362 separate power sources (361 acupoints plus the Core) instead of just one, effectively multiplying his total energy reserves by more than three hundred times.

”This changes everything,” he realized, watching the final acupoints fill to capacity, ”I’m not just enhanced anymore, I’m becoming a living energy storage system—the ring halos store power in compressed structures around my heart, the meridians channel power efficiently, the acupoints provide distributed reserves, and my cells themselves hold baseline energy—every part of my body is optimized for exotic energy.”

REALM CONSOLIDATION - 3:00 AM

With visualizations complete and physical structure enhanced, Orion spent another two hours consolidating his current realm, ensuring everything was stable and integrated before advancing to the third ring.

He reviewed his complete cultivation foundation:

CAPABILITY SURGE ANALYSIS - POST-FOUNDATION CONSOLIDATION

The dramatic increase in Orion’s capabilities—strength jumping from 200 tons to 400 tons passive and speed increasing from Mach 1 to Mach 2—wasn’t simply due to the second ring halo’s enhancement but rather emerged from three synergistic factors that transformed his cultivation foundation fundamentally.

First, the meridian system enhancement created efficiency gains that multiplied effective power output beyond what raw enhancement alone could achieve—the twenty meridians reinforced with hexagonal exotic energy mesh allowed his body to truly breathe, moving energy throughout his system with such insane efficiency that circulation that had previously required conscious effort now happened automatically and optimally, eliminating energy waste and ensuring every cell received perfect power distribution at all times, which meant his muscles could access more energy faster and his entire physical structure operated at peak performance continuously.

Second, the acupoint system provided not just energy storage but created a complete circulation loop throughout his body where the 361 filled acupoints connected with the meridians and with his cells themselves, forming a network where energy constantly flowed and refined and strengthened every part of his being simultaneously—the acupoints weren’t just batteries sitting idle, they were active participants in continuous energy circulation that meant his body was being enhanced passively and constantly even when he wasn’t actively cultivating, with exotic energy refining his muscles and bones and organs every single second without conscious direction.

Third, the Celestial Mind Visualization expansion to include Mars and its two moons had increased his spiritual power to levels that provided comprehensive control enhancement across every aspect of his capabilities—his psychic power became more precise and far-reaching with 150-kilometer range, his willpower strengthened to the point where energy manipulation became effortless, his control over materials and fundamental forces like electromagnetism and gravity improved dramatically, and his mastery of all elemental forces deepened until he could manipulate them with the kind of precision that made his previous ”mastery” look crude by comparison, and this spiritual enhancement translated directly to physical performance because cultivation wasn’t just about raw power but about control over that power, and with tripled spiritual strength he could access and utilize his physical enhancement far more effectively than before.

The three factors worked synergistically rather than additively: the meridians provided efficiency, the acupoints provided continuous refinement, and the visualization provided control, and together they created a multiplicative effect that boosted his capabilities far beyond what the second ring halo alone should have provided, resulting in an overall comprehensive increase in strength that made him realize the importance of cultivation foundation—raw enhancement was valuable, but optimized enhancement through superior infrastructure was exponentially more powerful.

”You’re ready for third ring advancement?” Rene asked.

”More than ready,” Orion confirmed, ”and I’m planning to advance through multiple rings rapidly—third ring tomorrow, then fourth and fifth in quick succession, because my foundation is solid enough to support accelerated progression and I want to reach higher levels as quickly as possible.”

He exited the cultivation chamber at 5:00 AM, having spent nine hours on preparatory work, and headed to his bedroom for a few hours of sleep before beginning the actual ring cultivation.

Tomorrow the real advancement would begin.

Tomorrow he’d start climbing toward the summit of First Gene Lock.

Tomorrow the impossible would become routine once again.
