Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 151: Chapter 151: Abundance

ORION’S BEDROOM - 5:30 PM

Orion’s consciousness drifted. Sleep wasn’t simple unconsciousness anymore. His enhanced mind remained partially active even while his body rested. And tonight, that activity pulled him somewhere familiar.

The infinite library materialized around him. Glowing shelves extending forever. Books containing all knowledge of advanced civilizations. His private sanctuary for learning.

He’d come here with a purpose. More Tier 2 study. There was so much left to learn. Biology had been just the beginning. Warp physics. Antimatter research. Advanced materials. Computing beyond quantum. All waiting.

Orion walked toward the Tier 2 section. Preparing to dive deep into—

ALERT: MISSION PARAMETERS UPDATE

The blue notification appeared directly in front of him. System interface. Official communication.

Orion stopped walking. ”What now?”

The message expanded:

SYSTEM NOTIFICATION

MISSION PARAMETER REVISION

Previous Mission: Advance Earth from Type 0.73 to Type V Civilization

Previous Timeline: 3-5 years

Updated Mission: Advance Earth from Type 0.73 to Type V Civilization

Updated Timeline: 500 years

Reason for Change: The Supreme Author has determined that elevating a civilization by 4.27 civilization tiers in 3-5 years is functionally impossible. Even with system assistance and host capabilities, such rapid advancement would destabilize the target civilization beyond recovery. New timeline provides adequate margin for sustainable development.

Note: This is not a penalty. This is a correction. The original timeline was an error in mission parameter calculation.

Orion stared at the message for a long moment. Then laughed.

”I thought so too,” he said aloud to the empty library. ”It’s impossible. Three years to go from Type 0.73 to Type V? That’s insane. We’d barely make Type II in that time, let alone Type V.”

He dismissed the notification. ”Anyway, that’s good news. Five hundred years is actually achievable. Time to get back to what I came here for.”

The Tier 2 section beckoned. Orion walked through the glowing archway.

TIER 2 LIBRARY - BIOLOGY SECTION CONTINUATION

Orion had studied basic Tier 2 biology before. But there was more. Much more.

He grabbed books on advanced biological topics:

Genetic Consciousness Transfer - uploading minds into biological substrates

Hive Organism Engineering - creating networked biological intelligences

Evolutionary Acceleration at Industrial Scale - forcing adaptation in months

Biological Quantum Computing - using living cells as processors

Synthetic Ecosystem Design - creating stable biospheres from scratch

Each book dissolved into light as he touched it. Knowledge flowing directly into his mind.

The information was dense. Complex. A single Tier 2 biology topic contained more content than entire Tier 1 sections. What he thought was ”complete” Tier 2 biology before had been just scratching the surface.

Hours passed in the library space. Outside—seconds.

Orion absorbed everything. His enhanced mind from the Sun core visualization handling the complexity effortlessly. Understanding mechanisms that shouldn’t be possible. Grasping principles that defied conventional biology.

But biology wasn’t why he’d come tonight. He had something more specific in mind.

WARP PHYSICS - TIER 2

Orion moved to a different section. Shelves labeled with topics he’d been waiting to study properly.

Advanced Warp Field Mechanics

Space-Time Manipulation Theory

Alcubierre Drive Engineering - Complete Specifications

Graviton-Mediated FTL Systems

Warp Bubble Stability Across Multiple Dimensions

He pulled the first book. It dissolved.

Warp physics flooded his consciousness.

The Alcubierre drive he’d read about in basic Tier 1 had been simplified. Introductory. This was the real thing.

Complete mathematical framework for space-time manipulation. How to generate negative energy densities. How to create stable warp bubbles. How to achieve effective faster-than-light travel without actually moving faster than light.

The ship didn’t move. Space moved. The vessel rode the contraction wave.

Equations appeared in his mind. Tensor mathematics. Relativistic corrections. Quantum gravity effects. Energy requirements measured in the mass-energy of entire stars.

”No wonder the prototype warp drive consumes gravitons so rapidly,” Orion murmured. ”It’s trying to warp space-time itself.”

He continued reading. Efficiency improvements. Ways to reduce energy consumption. Techniques for stable bubble formation. Methods for navigating while inside a warp field.

Hours of subjective time. Minutes in reality.

More books. Each one adding layers of understanding.

Warp Field Navigation Systems

FTL Communication Through Quantum Entanglement

Temporal Effects of Super-Luminal Travel

Multi-Vector Warp Trajectory Optimization

The knowledge accumulated. Built on itself. Created complete understanding.

ANTIMATTER RESEARCH - TIER 2

Orion moved to the next critical topic.

Antimatter. The most energy-dense fuel possible. Matter meeting antimatter. Total conversion to energy. E=mc² at its purest.

Antimatter Production - Industrial Methods

Magnetic Bottle Containment - Perfect Isolation

Matter-Antimatter Annihilation Control

Antimatter Rocket Propulsion

Antimatter Reactor Design - Commercial Scale

He grabbed all five books at once. They dissolved together.

The knowledge was staggering.

Antimatter production required particle accelerators. Enormous energy input to create tiny amounts. But Tier 2 civilizations had perfected it. Industrial antimatter factories. Producing kilograms per day instead of atoms.

Storage was the challenge. Antimatter couldn’t touch normal matter. Would annihilate instantly. Required perfect magnetic containment. Any failure meant catastrophic explosion.

But once contained—incredible potential.

One gram of antimatter plus one gram of matter. Complete annihilation. Released energy equivalent to a nuclear bomb. Controlled properly, that became power for cities. Or propulsion for starships.

Antimatter rockets could achieve significant fractions of light speed. No warp drive needed for interstellar travel within a few light-years. Just pure thrust from perfect fuel efficiency.

Orion absorbed it all. Production techniques. Containment designs. Reactor specifications. Propulsion systems.

”This is what we need,” he thought. ”Antimatter enables warp drive efficiency. Makes FTL practical instead of theoretical.”

KNOWLEDGE EXHAUSTION - SUBJECTIVE HOURS LATER

Orion had been studying for what felt like fifteen hours. Time dilation at maximum. Outside, maybe ten minutes had passed.

But his mind was tired. Spiritual energy depleted from maintaining perfect comprehension for so long.

He’d absorbed massive amounts of knowledge:

Advanced Tier 2 biology (complete)

Warp physics (comprehensive understanding)

Antimatter research (production through application)

More than enough for now.

Time to exit.

Orion opened his eyes. Back in his room.

But first—transfer the knowledge to Rene.

He activated the BCI connection.

”Rene, receiving knowledge transfer. Advanced topics. Brace for complexity.”

”Ready.”

Orion pushed the information through the connection. Not as extensive as the original Tier 1 and 2 transfer. But still significant. All the warp physics. All the antimatter research. The biological advances.

Data flowed for several minutes. Rene absorbed it silently.

”Transfer complete,” she finally said. ”This is... extraordinary. Warp field mathematics at this level. Antimatter production specifications. I can begin designing improved systems immediately.”

”Later. Let me rest first.”

”Of course.”

Orion severed the connection. Let his consciousness drift back into normal sleep.

His mind settled. Exhausted but satisfied. The knowledge safely stored. Ready to be applied.

Sleep deepened. Truly unconscious now. Body recovering. Mind processing.

8:00 PM - UNDERGROUND LABORATORY

Orion’s eyes opened. The mental alarm he’d set triggered precisely.

8:00 PM. Time to test the Exotic Forge properly.

He got up. Felt completely refreshed. The few hours of sleep after the library session had been enough. His enhanced physiology recovered quickly.

Checked his ring halo briefly. 32.9% → 33.2%. Passive cultivation during sleep. Barely noticeable growth now compared to what was coming.

Orion dressed quickly. Went downstairs. Took the elevator to the underground level.

The laboratory was humming with activity. The Exotic Forge ran steadily. Fusion reactor glowing. Frequency chamber vibrating. Exotic energy being produced continuously.

Rene’s laboratory body was waiting. ”Good evening, Orion. The Forge has been running for three hours. Production is excellent. All systems nominal.”

”How much exotic energy do we have?”

”One hundred tons in storage. Processed through all three phases.”

Orion blinked. ”One hundred tons? In three hours?”

”The daily yield calculation was conservative. At full power, the Forge produces approximately eight hundred tons per day. We’ve been running for three hours at maximum output. That’s one hundred tons.”

Eight hundred tons per day.

”That’s... that’s incredible. How much is stored in each phase?”

Rene pulled up inventory displays.

GASEOUS EXOTIC ENERGY: 40 tons (stored in pressurized tanks)

LIQUID EXOTIC ENERGY: 35 tons (stored in cryogenic containers)

CRYSTALLINE EXOTIC ENERGY: 25 tons (formed into rectangular tubes)

”More than enough for your cultivation chamber,” Rene said. ”In fact, we have excess gas. I recommend filling the mansion’s atmosphere with it. Saturate the air. You’ll cultivate passively even better while moving through the house.”

”Do it. Fill every room. Make the entire mansion a cultivation environment.”

”Already prepared. Atmospheric dispersal system is ready. I’ll activate it once you’re in the cultivation chamber.”

Rene gestured to another area. A set of clothing lay on a table. ”I also prepared something for you.”

Orion walked over. Examined the garments.

They looked like simple loose pants and shirt. Black fabric. But the material felt strange. Smooth. Slightly warm to the touch. Not quite cloth. Not quite synthetic.

”Special synthesis,” Rene explained. ”Combines Tier 2 materials science with practical design. The fabric is woven from nano-synthetic fibers. Incredibly durable—can withstand your enhanced strength without tearing. Resists extreme temperatures. Self-cleaning at molecular level. And most importantly, doesn’t impede exotic energy absorption. Actually enhances it by seventeen percent through resonance properties.”

Orion picked up the shirt. It weighed almost nothing. ”You really prepared for everything.”

”I try to anticipate needs. Cultivation in liquid exotic energy requires appropriate clothing. Normal fabric would degrade. This will last indefinitely.”

”Thank you, Rene. Truly.”

[AN: Some of you might be wondering why is Orion always thanking Rene. Isn’t he her creator? Or is he fearful she might break out and take over his empire? Who knows?]

Orion changed quickly. The new clothes fit perfectly. Comfortable. Flexible. He could barely feel them.

Ready now.

CULTIVATION CHAMBER - 8:15 PM

The glass cultivation chamber stood in the center of the laboratory. Three meters in diameter. Four meters tall. Perfectly transparent walls.

Exotic energy crystals were already mounted in the walls. Twenty-four of them. Each one glowing faintly with contained power. Long rectangular tubes of crystallized exotic energy. The highest density format.

Pumps and tubes connected to the chamber. Ready to fill it with liquid and gas.

Orion approached. Opened the chamber door. Stepped inside.

The interior was empty currently. Just glass and crystal. Waiting.

He sat down cross-legged in the center. Lotus position. Hands resting on his knees. Closed his eyes.

Focused inward. Activated the Infinite Circulation Method fully. All channels open. All frequencies prepared. Ready to absorb.

”Rene. Begin filling the chamber.”

”Initiating now.”

CHAMBER FILLING - 8:16 PM

Liquid exotic energy began flowing in from ports at the base. Clear fluid. Slightly luminescent. Room temperature despite being called ”liquid”—the phase was based on energy density, not temperature.

The liquid rose steadily. Covering Orion’s legs. His waist. His chest. Stopped at chest level as programmed.

Then gaseous exotic energy pumped in. Filling the space above the liquid. Invisible to the eye but incredibly dense with power. The chamber’s sensors showed atmospheric exotic energy concentration at levels thousands of times higher than Earth’s normal atmosphere.

The crystals in the walls activated. Began releasing their stored energy in controlled fashion. Adding even more exotic energy to the environment.

Orion sat in the center of it all. Surrounded by exotic energy in all three phases. Crystal. Liquid. Gas. Maximum concentration. Maximum absorption potential.

His body reacted immediately.

Passively.

Every pore channel opened wide. Five million absorption points pulling exotic energy in simultaneously. From the liquid touching his skin. From the gas filling his lungs. From the crystals radiating power through the glass.

The Infinite Circulation Method engaged at full capacity.

Energy flooded his channels. Not the trickle from atmospheric cultivation. Not even the river from direct sunlight. This was an ocean. A tsunami of exotic energy crashing through his system.

The ring halo around his heart reacted violently.

Orion’s consciousness snapped to his internal perception. Watched the ring structure in his mind’s eye.

It was growing. Fast.

33.2%... 35%... 40%... 45%... 50%...

The ring halo expanded rapidly. Exotic energy compressing into permanent enhancement structures at incredible speed. What normally took weeks happening in seconds.

55%... 60%... 65%... 70%...

Orion felt his body transforming. Every cell strengthening. Muscles densifying. Bones hardening. Organs optimizing. The cellular circulation distributing exotic energy everywhere. Constant enhancement. Continuous improvement.

The growth rate was insane. His passive cultivation over the past few days had taken him from 15% to 33%. Eighteen percent growth in three days.

He’d just gained thirty-seven percent in thirty seconds.

And it was still climbing.

71%... 72%... 73%...

Orion opened his eyes slightly. Looked down at his hands beneath the liquid exotic energy. They were glowing. Faintly golden. The exotic energy circulating just beneath his skin creating visible radiance.

He was stunned.

Completely, absolutely stunned.

This was beyond anything he’d imagined. The abundance was overwhelming. The growth rate impossible.

At this rate, he’d complete the first ring halo in minutes. Not days. Not hours. Minutes.

The cellular enhancement was visible now. His muscles looked more defined even while sitting still. His skin had taken on a perfect, healthy appearance. Every imperfection—old scars, minor blemishes, uneven pigmentation—vanishing as his cells regenerated at enhanced speeds.

74%... 75%... 76%...

His psychic sense exploded outward. The range expanding dramatically. Two kilometers... three kilometers... five kilometers... ten kilometers. He could sense everything. Every living thing within that massive radius. Every energy pattern. Every electromagnetic field.

His connection to celestial bodies intensified. Earth felt solid. Present. The Moon blazed in his awareness despite being on the far side of the planet. The Sun—even though it was night—felt closer than ever. Like he could reach out and touch the fusion reactions happening in its core.

And beyond. Mars. Venus. Jupiter. Saturn. All the planets becoming clear in his perception. Not just whispers anymore. Actual presence. He could feel them.

77%... 78%... 79%...

His consciousness expanded. Intelligence increasing. Processing speed accelerating. Memory becoming perfect. Comprehension deepening beyond the enhancement from the Sun core visualization.

This was more than cultivation. This was transformation. Evolution. Becoming something fundamentally superior to baseline humanity.

80%...

The growth began slowing. Not stopping. But decelerating. The ring halo approaching completion. The final twenty percent requiring more exotic energy than the first eighty combined.

Still. At this rate. Complete ring halo in maybe ten more minutes.

Ten minutes to finish what should have taken months.

Orion let his eyes close again. Surrendered to the process. Let the Infinite Circulation Method run at full capacity. Let the abundance of exotic energy do its work.

His body was excited. Practically vibrating with contained power. Every cell celebrating the influx of energy. Every system operating at peak efficiency.

This was what cultivation was meant to be.

Not scavenging trace amounts from thin atmosphere. Not slowly accumulating over years. But abundance. Immersion. Unlimited access to the power that made advancement possible.

The Exotic Forge hummed in the background. Producing eight hundred tons of exotic energy daily. More than he could possibly use alone. Enough to supply hundreds of cultivators. Thousands eventually.

But right now—all of it was his.

All of it fueling his transformation.

All of it making the impossible routine.

The future was here. In this chamber. In this moment.

And it was glorious.
