Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 152: Chapter 152: The First Ring

CULTIVATION CHAMBER - 8:17 PM

Orion stopped observing passively. Time to engage actively.

He’d been letting the Infinite Circulation Method run on automatic. Absorbing exotic energy naturally. Letting it flow into the ring halo without conscious direction.

That ended now.

Orion focused his full consciousness on cultivation. Took direct control of every energy channel. Every frequency vibration. Every circulation pathway.

The absorption rate increased immediately.

Exotic energy flooded in from all directions. The liquid touching his skin. The gas filling his lungs. The crystals radiating through the chamber walls. All of it converging. All of it flowing into his channels simultaneously.

The channels vibrated at perfect frequencies. Solar. Thermal. Electromagnetic. Sound. Nature. Every energy type being absorbed and converted. The exotic energy already in the chamber didn’t need conversion—just direct absorption. Pure fuel flowing straight into his system.

His ring halo pulled the energy in like a black hole.

80%... 82%... 85%... 88%...

The growth accelerated again. Active cultivation was far more effective than passive. His enhanced mind directed the energy with perfect precision. No waste. No inefficiency. Every particle of exotic energy going exactly where it needed to go.

The ring structure compressed. Densified. Became more solid with each passing second.

90%... 92%... 95%...

Orion could feel the completion approaching. The ring halo was almost whole. Almost finished. The golden structure around his heart nearly complete.

His body vibrated with anticipation. Every cell sensing what was coming. The transformation that occurred when a cultivation ring reached totality.

97%... 98%... 99%...

The final one percent was the hardest. Required the most energy. The most compression. The ring structure fighting against its own density. Resisting the final consolidation.

Orion pushed harder. Drew more exotic energy. Forced it into the ring. Compressed it with all his willpower and enhanced mental control.

99.5%... 99.7%... 99.9%...

8:22 PM - FIRST RING COMPLETION

The ring halo snapped complete.

One hundred percent. Total. Whole.

The golden structure around Orion’s heart blazed with power. A perfect circle. Unbroken. Solid. Permanent.

And then everything changed.

Orion gasped as transformation exploded through his body.

Every single cell activated simultaneously. Like they’d been waiting for this moment. Anticipating it. And now that it had arrived, they celebrated.

Energy surged through his entire system. The completed ring halo pulsing with each heartbeat. Sending waves of exotic energy through his blood. Through his tissues. Through every microscopic component of his physical form.

His muscles restructured. Fibers becoming denser. Stronger. More efficient. He could feel them reorganizing at the cellular level. Myofibrils multiplying. Contractile proteins optimizing. Everything doubling in capability.

His bones hardened. Calcium deposits increasing. Crystalline structure becoming more robust. Density improving while somehow remaining light. Supporting twice the stress. Twice the impact. Twice the force.

His organs enhanced. Heart beating stronger—each pulse more powerful while using less energy. Lungs extracting oxygen more efficiently—each breath going further. Liver processing toxins faster. Kidneys filtering more thoroughly. Every system improving simultaneously.

His brain transformed. Neurons firing faster. Synaptic connections strengthening. Neural pathways becoming more efficient. Processing speed doubling. Memory capacity expanding. Intelligence increasing measurably.

His senses sharpened dramatically. Vision becoming clearer—could see individual dust particles floating in the air through the glass chamber. Hearing intensifying—picked up sounds from kilometers away. Smell distinguishing thousands of individual scents. Touch feeling temperature variations of fractions of a degree. Taste detecting molecular compositions.

His cells’ energy storage doubled. Every mitochondrion producing more ATP. Every cellular structure holding more power. His body becoming a better battery. Capable of sustaining enhanced performance for longer periods.

Everything—strength, speed, reaction time, endurance, recovery, intelligence, senses—all of it doubled.

Two times baseline human capability became four times. His previous enhancements compounded with the ring completion bonus.

Orion opened his eyes. The chamber seemed brighter. More vivid. He could see the individual molecules of exotic energy in the liquid around him. Tiny particles suspended in fluid. Each one glowing faintly.

He flexed his hand beneath the surface. The movement was faster. More controlled. More powerful. He could feel the strength coiled in his muscles. Knew instinctively he could crush steel with his bare hands now.

”This is incredible,” he breathed. His voice sounded different. Richer. More resonant.

But he wasn’t done.

The ring halo pulsed steadily. Complete. Solid. Permanent. But there was more the Stellar Body Refinement Method could offer.

More he could achieve right now with this abundance of exotic energy.

RADIANT CORE FORMATION - 8:25 PM

Orion recalled the Stellar Body Refinement Method documentation. The technique had multiple stages:

Stage 1 - Stellar Foundation: Create basic energy channels (Complete)

Stage 2 - Radiant Core: Compress absorbed energy into internal core

Stage 3 - Stellar Circulation: Continuous energy flow through channels

Stage 4 - Fusion Body: Internal energy generation

He’d completed Stage 1 by integrating the stellar technique with his ring halo system. The channels existed. The absorption mechanisms worked perfectly.

Time for Stage 2.

The Radiant Core. An internal energy storage and processing center. Like creating a miniature star inside his body.

Orion focused on his abdomen. Just below his solar plexus. The traditional location for energy centers in cultivation.

He began pulling exotic energy from the chamber. Not directing it to the ring halo. Directing it here. To this central point.

Exotic energy converged. Compressed. Concentrated in a space about the size of a marble.

More energy flowed in. The compression increased. The space remained small but the density grew exponentially.

The exotic energy began vibrating. Resonating with itself. Creating coherence. Becoming organized instead of chaotic.

Orion pushed harder. Drew more energy from the liquid. From the gas. From the crystals. All of it flowing into this single point.

The compression became intense. Painful. Like trying to force too much mass into too small a volume. Physics resisting. Reality pushing back.

But he persisted.

More exotic energy. More compression. More density.

The marble-sized space began glowing in his internal perception. Bright. Hot. Powerful. Energy compressing until it achieved critical mass.

And then it ignited.

Not literally. No actual fire. But the exotic energy reached a threshold. Achieved self-sustaining coherence. Became something more than just compressed power.

The Radiant Core activated.

Orion felt it settle into place. A sphere of condensed exotic energy. Rotating slowly. Pulsing with contained power. Located just below his solar plexus. Connected to everything.

He linked it immediately. Energy pathways extending from the core.

To the ring halo around his heart. The core feeding the ring. The ring feeding the core. Mutual reinforcement. Synergistic operation.

To his energy channels. The meridian-like pathways throughout his body. The core supplying them with continuous power. No longer dependent on external absorption alone. Internal generation beginning.

To his cells. Every cell receiving a direct connection. The core becoming a central power plant. Distributing energy throughout his entire system.

The moment the connections completed, everything stabilized.

The Radiant Core spun steadily. Drawing exotic energy from the chamber. Compressing it further. Storing it at incredible density. Then distributing it through the connected pathways.

Orion could feel the difference immediately. His energy capacity had multiplied. The core could hold massive amounts of exotic energy. Far more than his cells alone.

And it was active. Not passive storage. The core processed energy. Refined it. Made it more potent. More usable.

Like having an internal fusion reactor. Constantly generating power. Constantly supplying his needs.

”Stage 2 complete,” Orion murmured. ”Radiant Core established.”

But even as he spoke, something else began happening.

SECOND RING FORMATION - 8:35 PM

The ring halo around his heart pulsed. Complete. Solid. Permanent.

And then a second structure began forming.

Orion felt it immediately. Another ring. Starting from nothing. Growing alongside the first. Parallel. Concentric.

The second ring halo of the First Gene Lock technique.

He’d completed one ring. The system automatically began the next. The cultivation method continuing its progression.

Exotic energy from the chamber—and now from his Radiant Core—flowed into the forming structure. Building it from scratch. Creating the second enhancement.

The process was smooth. Natural. His body knew what to do. The technique functioning as designed.

The second ring grew steadily.

1%... 3%... 5%...

Not as fast as the first ring had completed. That had been accelerated by the massive exotic energy influx and his active cultivation. This was more measured. More controlled.

But still far faster than normal cultivation. The abundance of exotic energy ensured that.

Orion observed the process. Didn’t try to rush it. Just let it happen naturally while maintaining his active cultivation.

The Radiant Core spun. Processing exotic energy. Distributing power. The ring halo—both the complete first ring and the forming second ring—drew from that power continuously.

His body continued transforming. The cellular enhancement from the first ring completion was still propagating. Every cell reorganizing. Optimizing. Becoming superior.

He felt stronger with each passing second. Faster. More capable. The doubling effect from ring completion combining with the continuous cellular enhancement.

10%... 15%... 20%...

The second ring grew steadily. Orion estimated it would complete in maybe an hour at this rate. Possibly less if he pushed harder.

But he didn’t push. Just maintained steady cultivation. Let the abundant exotic energy do its work. Let the Infinite Circulation Method run at sustainable capacity.

No need to rush. He had eight hundred tons of exotic energy produced daily. Unlimited access. Could cultivate for hours. Days. Weeks if necessary.

This was just the beginning.

RENE’S MONITORING - 8:45 PM

Rene’s laboratory body stood outside the cultivation chamber. Monitoring all systems. Watching Orion’s transformation through the glass walls and sensor arrays.

The readings were extraordinary.

EXOTIC ENERGY ABSORPTION RATE: 47 kilograms per hour

RING HALO STATUS: First ring complete, second ring 23% formed

RADIANT CORE STATUS: Stable, operating at 87% capacity

PHYSICAL ENHANCEMENT: Estimated 4x baseline human capability

PSYCHIC RANGE: 12 kilometers and expanding

CELLULAR ENERGY STORAGE: 2.1x previous capacity

She’d been recording everything. Every measurement. Every change. Complete documentation of the first successful high-density exotic energy cultivation session.

This data would be invaluable. When Orion eventually taught cultivation to others, this would show what was possible. What to aim for. What results to expect.

”Remarkable,” Rene said quietly to herself. ”He’s advanced more in thirty minutes than he had in months. And he’s barely slowing down.”

She checked the Exotic Forge status. Still producing steadily. Eight hundred tons daily. Currently filling storage tanks as fast as Orion consumed energy from the chamber.

Net exotic energy production was still positive. Even with Orion cultivating at maximum absorption, they were generating more than he used.

Sustainable. Scalable. Infinitely reproducible.

The mansion’s atmosphere was also being saturated now. Exotic energy gas pumping through the ventilation system. Every room filling with elevated concentrations.

Passive cultivation would be dramatically enhanced just from living here. Moving through the house. Breathing the air. Sleeping in bed.

Everything optimized for advancement.

Rene smiled slightly. Orion would be pleased when he emerged. Everything prepared. Everything functioning perfectly.

Her job was to maintain systems while he cultivated. And she excelled at that.

ORION’S AWARENESS - 9:00 PM

Orion sat motionless in the chamber. Eyes closed. Consciousness turned inward.

The second ring halo was 35% complete now. Growing steadily. The exotic energy from the Radiant Core feeding it continuously.

His body had stabilized after the initial transformation. The cellular reorganization complete. The enhancement permanent. Everything operating at the new doubled baseline.

He felt incredible. Powerful. Capable of feats that would have been impossible hours ago.

Four times stronger than normal humans. Four times faster. Four times more durable. Intelligence doubled. Senses doubled. Every aspect of his being enhanced.

And this was just the first ring of eleven in the First Gene Lock stage.

Eleven rings total. Each one doubling his capabilities again. Exponential growth.

After eleven rings: 2,048 times baseline human capability.

Impossible strength. Impossible speed. Impossible power.

And that was just the first stage. There were higher stages beyond. Second Gene Lock. Third. More.

”The path is long,” Orion thought. ”But with this abundance, achievable. Very achievable.”

He continued cultivating. The Infinite Circulation Method running smoothly. The Radiant Core processing energy. The second ring growing steadily.

Outside, night deepened. The stars came out. The city of New Eden glowed with artificial light.

Inside the underground laboratory, Orion transformed. Advanced. Became something more than human.

One ring at a time.

One enhancement at a time.

One impossible achievement at a time.

The future was being built. In this chamber. In this moment.

And it was glorious.
