High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1761: Chapter 505: Legends (6)

Though inside the ship, it did not affect the vision of the two legendary great wizards; they could still see through the silver serpent’s narrow scale armor to the fierce battle outside in the Black Prison.

However, in a game of chess, it’s most important to maintain calm without disturbances from external matters.

Thus, the two legendary wizards kept their eyes straight ahead.

When the little witch jumped off the city wall, Six Fingers blocked one of the Qi Eyes on the board. Elder Ruoyu, unfazed, picked up a white stone and casually placed it elsewhere.

When the members of the Dark Council appeared, the Paradise Mountain of Atlas Academy’s president descended, and the Big Sea Monster Whirlpool and Big Witch Goblin Bridget merged to summon the Tiber Dragon, the two elder wizards remained silent, only drinking a few more sips of tea.

Even when the Tiber Dragon used its talent magic to reset time again and again, it merely drew an extra glance from the two legendary wizards, who remarked, ”Quite interesting,” and ”Remarkable.”

Only when Zheng Qing toppled the slender Red Sky Pillar, causing it to collapse and crush the wall of the Black Prison Stronghold, did Vice Principal Ruoyu slightly lift his eyelids, directing the silver serpent to crawl a bit further away to evade the falling wall section.

Not until deep within the stronghold, when the ancient Xuanhuang Wood, seeking self-preservation, haphazardly threw the fruit it bore out of the city, did the president of the Dark Council tilt his head and slightly divert his attention.

”Is this the First University’s method of response?”

He tilted his head, and the creases on his black pointed wizard hat pressed against each other, forming a malicious grin, as if mocking the cowardice of the old tree within the ancient castle: ”Throwing out the fruit? Two peaches kill three warriors? Or perhaps you all cannot control that old tree’s behavior either?”

Elder Ruoyu silently observed the chessboard before him for a long time before finally raising the teacup beside him and taking a slow sip.

”’Control’ though a neutral word, often represents a very negative attitude,” he said quietly, but each word was clear, echoing endlessly across the vast water:

”The First University is not the Starry Sky, not the Land of Desolation, nor the Dark Council, so we don’t need to ’control’ our friends.”

”Friends... such ridiculous hypocrisy.”

Six Fingers sneered repeatedly, but his hands did not stop, and he placed a black stone. On the chessboard, the black stones were about to form a circle, trapping Mr. Ruoyu’s major dragon.

Just at that moment, on the Black Prison Battlefield, a black cat leaped out of a shallow pit and pounced toward the Druid High Priest of the Dark Council. In the Silver Serpent World, aboard the small boat, before the chessboard, the two legendary wizards simultaneously paused, raising their heads together to look beyond the world.

On the battlefield.

A deep light suddenly appeared, seemingly stripping the entire world of its color in that instant, with strange lights and brilliant hues filling the sky, like the Holy Spirit revealing its might, akin to the birth of a starry river, with hundreds of suns vying for brilliance.

The glaring light made the two legends squint involuntarily, temporarily at a loss for words.

However, during their speechless moment, when Mr. Ruoyu looked at the silhouette of the exploding black cat, his face showed a bit more surprise; whereas the president of the Dark Council was filled with shock and anger, nearly flipping the chessboard in front of him.

”This is not the agreement we made!”

Six Fingers lifted his head, and the creases on the pointed wizard hat stacked together like furrowed brows, his sallow skin tightening, with many more blood vessels suddenly surfacing in his eyes under the eye bags:

”You must provide us with an explanation.”

The Dark Council has not been established for long and lacks the rich talent reserves of the Demons or the First University. Every great wizard in the Dark Council is indispensable, especially that Druid High Priest, who is a top-level great wizard, even considered a formidable presence within the entire Black Prison Battlefield.

This loss was entirely beyond the council’s expectations.

Snap.

A white stone appeared at the center of the black stones, seemingly walking into a dead end, but unexpectedly revitalized the great white dragon, instead enclosing a corner of the black stones.

Elder Ruoyu extended his withered fingers, picking up the black stones that were captured one by one and placing them aside. After clearing them all, he finally lifted his head and glanced at the legendary wizard opposite, who had thunder in his expression.

”Explanation?”

The Vice Principal of the First University finally shed his previous kindly demeanor, revealing some of the dominance of a ruler of the Wizard World: ”The school can give this explanation, but can you receive it?”

Six Fingers’ breath hitched.

It was as if at this moment he suddenly remembered the identity of the old man before him.

Elder Ruoyu withdrew his gaze, gesturing for his opponent to make a move, while softly reminding him: ”Since we’re in the battlefield, we should resign ourselves to fate. Don’t keep spouting nonsensical words; it’s simply laughable.”

The president of the Dark Council was well aware of these things, but he had to say something anyway, ultimately choosing the black cat as the breakthrough point: ”That cat used powers not belonging to this battlefield... this violates the alliance’s rules.”

’The relevant department’ is not only under the jurisdiction of the First University but also restricted by the Mage Alliance, a fact known to wizards of a certain tier.

And the aura from ’the relevant department’ on the black cat was so strong that even across a world, the two elder wizards sniffed it out clearly.

Theoretically, any public action by the relevant department without approval from the Great Wizard Conference is illegal.

This is the sorrow of the weak.

The strong only need to act, and there are masters with provisions ready to justify their actions in various ways. The weak have no say and need to struggle for fairness within the framework of the opponent’s discourse, yet the opponent often only responds with a ’whether allowing or not,’ already seeming ’polite.’

Because it involved the relevant department, Elder Ruoyu rarely put down the chess piece and spoke a few more words.

”When you brought your ’Forbidden Curse’ into the Black Prison World, that cat gained the right to act freely.” He looked at the elder wizard opposite, speaking calmly:

”You can’t expect the relevant department to turn a blind eye to other attempts to touch Forbidden Curses.”

Snap.

The black stone fell, sparking a few flowers of flame.

Snap.

The white stone connected, forming a meandering great dragon.

Between the black and white alternations, beyond the Silver Serpent World, the battlefield situation changed repeatedly. The bright moon rose, casting endless radiance, suppressing the restless Tiber Dragon; the elderly Rat Immortal dispersed all his flesh, becoming a Bone Relic, giving his daughter a glimmer of hope.

The fruit of the Xuanhuang Wood caught the attention of every top-tier great wizard, with a multi-armed giant grabbing it and stuffing it into its mouth, while timid spiders flung it back into the battlefield’s depths like touching a red-hot iron.

Leviathan opened its large mouth, tearing off a significant portion of the world.

Giant Zero Three released its true form, raising an arm as if wanting to extract the moon from the sky.

Then the wizards.

Defending the outer fort, nine wizards affiliated with the First University suddenly dispersed, transforming into nine streams of light, shooting straight toward the edge of the world, with the sound of ’Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang’ beginning to echo throughout the realm.
