The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 499: Chapter 499: Mr. Zhang, You Are Cured

No need to pick a patient?

Just Patient Number Nine?

Everyone was stunned. They looked at Cheng Yuan, completely baffled as to why he would say such a thing.

Park Hao chuckled. ”You must be joking, Dr. Cheng. I’ve already treated Patient Number Nine. What need is there for you to intervene?”

Cheng Yuan smiled faintly. ”Divine Doctor Pu, if I recall correctly, you just said that Patient Number Nine would only be able to perform manual labor after a week, correct?”

”That’s right. Is there a problem?”

”Normally, that wouldn’t be a problem. However, Patient Number Nine requested to regain his ability to do manual labor as soon as possible. A week is still a bit long. I think within a day is more appropriate.”

Upon hearing this, everyone rolled their eyes in disbelief!

Even the Divine Doctors from Dragon Country were speechless.

The old saying goes, ’a hundred days to heal a broken bone.’ For Divine Doctor Pu to enable Patient Number Nine to resume manual labor in a week was already monstrously impressive!

If it were them, it would take at least a month!

However, the Divine Doctors from Dragon Country didn’t question Cheng Yuan. They were just a little worried he was boasting and wouldn’t be able to back it up.

The netizens from Country H, however, had no such reservations and immediately started flaming Cheng Yuan into oblivion.

[”This Cheng guy has zero medical knowledge, doesn’t he? Patient Number Nine has a lumbar disc herniation, not something you can fix with some wonder drug! This kind of injury requires long-term bed rest! For Teacher Pu to cut the recovery time down to a week is already damn incredible! To do it in one day? The nerve of this guy!”]

[”Pah! Does this Cheng guy really think he’s an Immortal? Does he have any understanding of basic medical principles?”]

...

Park Hao laughed. ”Did I hear that right? What did Dr. Cheng just say? Have Patient Number Nine resume manual labor within a day?”

”Yes.”

Park Hao shook his head lightly. ’To think I was just worried about what I’d do if Cheng Yuan displayed some shocking acupuncture technique,’ he thought.

’Now it seems Cheng Yuan is just a grandstanding clown.’

’There’s absolutely no need for me to be nervous.’

”Since Dr. Cheng is so confident, please, begin.”

Cheng Yuan nodded slightly. With a flick of his wrist, a Silver Needle appeared in his hand as if by magic.

Unlike Park Hao, Cheng Yuan didn’t perform some flashy Acupuncture Technique. Instead, he used the most basic needle insertion method, simply sticking the needle into the Mingmen acupoint on Patient Number Nine, Zhang Dakuan’s, lower back.

The tail of the Silver Needle was perfectly still, without the slightest tremor, nor any lifting, thrusting, or twisting.

Seeing this, the Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors from Dragon Country looked at each other, then turned to Divine Doctor Xue with questioning gazes. Their expressions seemed to say, ’Divine Doctor Xue, didn’t you say Divine Doctor Cheng could use the Qi-Guided Needle technique?’

’Is *this* the Qi-Guided Needle technique?’

Divine Doctor Xue’s mind was also full of questions. However, he was Cheng Yuan’s die-hard fan. He believed in Cheng Yuan without reservation and was certain he would give everyone a surprise!

Divine Doctor Xue could only try to reassure everyone, ”Don’t panic, don’t panic! Please, have faith in Divine Doctor Cheng!”

The Divine Doctors remained relatively calm, but the netizens from Dragon Country exploded!

[”Isn’t this just ridiculous? He dares to compete against Park Hao with an Acupuncture Technique like that?!”]

[”Sigh, I bet any random medical student is better than Divine Doctor Cheng. We really shouldn’t have placed the hopes of Dragon Country’s Traditional Chinese Medicine on a young man.”]

The netizens from Country H were overjoyed!

[”Hahaha, this Cheng guy is hilarious! You call that an Acupuncture Technique? He isn’t even worthy of carrying Teacher Pu’s shoes!”]

[”With an Acupuncture Technique like that, he dares to pick a fight with our Teacher Pu? He should just get on his knees and beg to become his disciple!”]

...

Cheng Yuan didn’t know what the netizens were thinking, and even if he did, he wouldn’t have cared.

His entire focus was on this single needle.

The insertion had looked simple, but Cheng Yuan seemed to be struggling slightly. His breathing grew a little ragged, and his face flushed red.

It was as if he were exerting immense strength!

And in fact, he was.

Cheng Yuan’s last needle insertion had looked simple, but he had actually used a technique from the Celestial Witch Divine Needle arts—’Heaven-Burning Fire’!

This was an incredibly tonifying needling technique!

It had consumed nearly twenty percent of the True Essence in Cheng Yuan’s body!

Even the formidable constitution of an Ancient Great Witch would be greatly supplemented by it.

Zhang Dakuan was just an ordinary person. Faced with such a terrifyingly tonifying acupuncture technique, all the latent life potential in his body was instantly stimulated!

Streams of life potential surged from the deepest level of his cells, gradually gathering into brooks, then rivers and seas, before finally converging on his herniated vertebra!

Zhang Dakuan’s lumbar vertebrae were severely worn down, and there was also some inflammation.

But nourished by this life potential, the worn-down areas rapidly recovered, and the inflammation quickly subsided!

In the blink of an eye, Zhang Dakuan’s spine returned to its state before the herniation, completely restored to health!

Cheng Yuan let out a long, turbid breath and slowly withdrew his power.

Zhang Dakuan felt every tissue and cell in his body tremble, as if something were piercing his cell walls, causing a subtle pain!

Soon, this subtle pain spread throughout his entire body!

Zhang Dakuan was in so much pain that his forehead was beaded with cold sweat!

However, Zhang Dakuan could just barely endure the agony.

Moments later, all the life potential converged on his back, and Zhang Dakuan felt as if his back were on fire!

The next second, a bone-piercing agony shot through his lumbar spine!

It was as if a sewing needle were stitching his bones together!

Even a tough old guy like Zhang Dakuan couldn’t help but let out a muffled groan.

”Nngh... It hurts.”

Cheng Yuan quickly stuffed a towel into Zhang Dakuan’s mouth; otherwise, the man might have shattered his own teeth!

Zhang Dakuan bit down hard on the towel, his hands gripping the hospital bed in a death grip as his whole body trembled!

Seeing this, the Divine Doctors from Dragon Country grew nervous.

”Divine Doctor Cheng, is the patient all right?”

Cheng Yuan smiled faintly. ”He’s fine. This is a normal reaction.”

The Divine Doctors from Dragon Country didn’t question him, but the Korean Medicine doctors wouldn’t miss such a golden opportunity and jumped out to condemn him!

Cui Youzhe was the first to step forward, shouting, ”You, Cheng! Judging by the patient’s reaction, you must have caused a medical accident! You will bear full responsibility!”

”Teacher Pu had already cured Patient Number Nine, but you had to jump in and cause trouble! This is irresponsible toward the patient! A person like you is unfit to be a doctor!”

Park Hao, his face expressionless, added insult to injury. ”Dr. Cheng, don’t you think you owe everyone an explanation?”

For a moment, all of Huichun Hall fell silent as everyone stared at Cheng Yuan.

Cheng Yuan showed no intention of explaining, calmly counting down instead. ”3... 2... 1... It’s over.”

The moment his voice fell, the pain in Zhang Dakuan’s spine vanished, replaced by an incredible feeling of relief.

Zhang Dakuan felt his body surging with inexhaustible strength!

SWOOSH!

Zhang Dakuan leaped off the hospital bed and cautiously moved his back a few times.

There was no pain at all!

Zhang Dakuan gave Cheng Yuan a deep bow.

”Divine Doctor Cheng! Thank you for your miraculous healing! After Divine Doctor Pu’s treatment, my back still felt a little sore and stiff. But after your treatment, the soreness is completely gone, and my whole body feels light! I feel like in another two days, I could lift this hospital bed!”

Cheng Yuan grinned. ”Mr. Zhang, you don’t need to wait two days. You’re already fully healed. You can lift this hospital bed right now!”

’Right now?’

His hands itching to try, Zhang Dakuan reached out, grabbed the nearby hospital bed, and with a great roar, steadily lifted it up!

Holding the hospital bed, Zhang Dakuan cautiously moved his back again. Still no pain!

An ecstatic expression appeared on Zhang Dakuan’s face. ”Divine Doctor Cheng! You were right! I’m really healed!!”
