The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 478: Chapter 478: Sorry, I Never Joke

The goons were too imposing, and Young Master Lin’s attire was clearly out of the ordinary. The few security guards felt intimidated and quickly ran to the bar to report to Chang Lanxin.

”Boss, there’s trouble in private room one. Xiaosun got slapped. That Young Master Lin is bad news. What do you think, should we call Brother Leopard over?”

Chang Lanxin shook her head gently. ”Don’t be in a rush to call Brother Leopard. If he comes, a fight is sure to break out, and tonight’s business will be ruined. It’s better to make money peacefully.”

”Yes, yes, of course.”

Chang Lanxin put down the cocktail shaker, forced a gentle smile, and walked with elegant steps to stand before Young Master Lin, looking at him without a hint of servility or defiance.

”Young Master Lin, I’ve heard what happened. It was my staff’s fault. I’m Chang Lanxin, the owner of Lanxin Bar. Could you do me a favor and let this go?”

Sun Qiajuan, standing to the side, wanted to explain, but a sharp glare from Chang Lanxin scared her into silence.

Young Master Lin sat sprawled on the European-style sofa and said coolly, ”Of course I can give the beautiful boss some face! But it depends on how the beautiful boss performs.”

Chang Lanxin smiled faintly and picked up a blood-red drink from the tray. ”Young Master Lin, this is a Bloody Mary I mixed myself. It’s a very strong spirit. I’ll drink it all to apologize to you. I hope you can forgive my staff’s mistake.”

With that, Chang Lanxin raised the Bloody Mary, tilted her head back, and downed the crimson liquid in one gulp!

After finishing the Bloody Mary, Chang Lanxin turned the cup upside down to show Young Master Lin.

Young Master Lin clapped lightly and smiled. ”Boss Chang is quite the drinker!”

Chang Lanxin smiled faintly. ”Young Master Lin, I won’t disturb you any longer, then. I’ll take my staff member and leave.”

Young Master Lin gave a wicked smile. ”The waitress can go, but Boss Chang, you can’t. You have to stay and have a few more drinks with me.”

Chang Lanxin forced a laugh. ”Young Master Lin, you’re so funny. You must be joking, right?”

Young Master Lin said with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, ”Sorry, I never joke. Boss Chang, my request is simple. You have a few drinks with me, and if you keep me happy, maybe we can forget this whole thing. If you don’t keep me happy, heh heh...”

Chang Lanxin’s expression darkened. ’What does this Young Master Lin take me for?’

’A bar hostess?’

’Doesn’t she, Chang Lanxin, have any pride?’

”Young Master Lin, please show some self-respect! I, Chang Lanxin, have been on this bar street for many years, and I’ve never been afraid of trouble.”

”What a coincidence. I, Lin Shaofeng, have never been afraid of trouble either!”

Lin Shaofeng abruptly stood up, grabbed Chang Lanxin’s wrist, and forced her to sit beside him!

Seeing this, Cheng Yuan’s gaze darkened. He had a good impression of Chang Lanxin and couldn’t just stand by and watch her be bullied.

Liu Ruyan once again blocked Cheng Yuan, saying coolly, ”Surnamed Cheng, can you stop trying to be a hero? Do you think Lanxin needs you to back her up to run a bar here? Just watch quietly. That kid is a dead man!”

Seeing that the situation had turned ugly, the security guards rushed to the office to report.

”Brother Leopard, someone’s causing trouble in private room one! Boss Chang personally offered a toast, but it didn’t work. We just mentioned your name, and that didn’t work either! Now they’re holding Boss Chang, forcing her to drink with them!”

Lin Bao flew into a rage. Ever since his boss, Brother Long, became the Lord of the City, no one on the bar street, or even in all of Gui City, dared to disrespect him!

’Someone dares to cause trouble on my turf?’

’They’re courting death!!’

Lin Bao grabbed a steel pipe and strode toward private room one. He was going to break the legs of those troublemaking punks!

Seeing Lin Bao’s murderous aura, the security guards’ spirits were instantly lifted. They strode quickly behind him. At Lin Bao’s command, they would swarm forward and cripple the troublemakers!

Liu Ruyan was a regular at the bar and knew that Lin Bao protected Lanxin Bar. Seeing Lin Bao approaching with his men, Liu Ruyan said in a slightly smug tone, ”See that? That’s Brother Leopard, Brother Long’s number one general! In all of Gui City, no one dares to disrespect Brother Leopard! With him making a personal appearance, that kid is a dead man!”

Cheng Yuan glanced coolly at Lin Bao. ’A Martial King Early Stage expert, no less!’

’It seems the martial arts culture in Gui City is quite strong!’

’For a mere gang leader to have this kind of power... back in Dongshan, he could establish his own sect.’

Cheng Yuan relaxed and sat down quietly, picking up his ’Pirates of the Caribbean’ and taking a small sip.

”As expected of a drink mixed by my senior. It tastes pretty good.”

Seeing how unfazed Cheng Yuan was, Liu Ruyan was so angry she could grind her teeth. ”Cheng Yuan, what’s with your attitude? That’s Brother Leopard! A person like you would normally never even have the right to see him! You should be properly admiring Brother Leopard’s magnificent presence!”

Just then, Lin Bao stormed into private room one, radiating killing intent, and shouted coldly, ”Which bastard is causing trouble on my turf? You don’t want to live anymore, is that it? Believe it or not, I’ll...”

Halfway through his sentence, Lin Bao suddenly choked, and beads of cold sweat broke out on his forehead!

’Fuck!’

’Isn’t this Brother Long’s illegitimate son, the one he just brought back from the countryside?’

’Why is it this princeling?’

Lin Shaofeng tilted his head, cupped a hand to his ear, and said in an exaggerated tone, ”Brother Leopard, what was that you were saying? I didn’t hear you clearly. Could you please say it again?”

Lin Bao forced a fawning smile onto his face. ”Young Master Lin, you came to Lanxin Bar to have fun, why didn’t you tell me? Everything you’ve had today is on the house! It’s my treat!!”

Hearing this, the expressions of Chang Lanxin and the security guards changed drastically. If even Brother Leopard couldn’t afford to offend this Young Master Lin, then they had really picked a fight with the wrong person today!

”Lin Bao! What do you mean by that? Do I, Lin Shaofeng, look like someone who cares about a bit of stinking money?”

Lin Bao chuckled obsequiously. ”No, no, Young Master Lin is definitely not someone who’s short on cash!”

Lin Shaofeng snorted coldly. ”Someone from Lanxin Bar dirtied my clothes. There’s nothing wrong with me asking Boss Chang to have a couple of drinks with me, is there?”

”No problem, no problem at all!”

Chang Lanxin couldn’t believe what Lin Bao was saying. She stood up, her face a mask of disbelief. ”Brother Leopard, you...”

Lin Bao looked at Chang Lanxin with pity. He and Chang Lanxin had grown up together in the same factory residential compound. Their fathers were high-level executives at the factory, and their families were very close. He had always seen Chang Lanxin as a little sister.

But now, he no longer had the power to protect her!

Lin Bao sighed. ”Lanxin, Young Master Lin’s status is incredibly noble! To be able to drink with him is your honor! If you can latch onto him, it would be a blessing upon your ancestors! No matter what he asks, don’t refuse. You must take good care of him!”

Chang Lanxin staggered, nearly falling. Lin Bao was her greatest support, but now even he had backed down. What could she, a weak woman, possibly do?

Thinking of what was about to happen to her, Chang Lanxin couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down her face.

Not far away, Liu Ruyan was completely dumbfounded, unable to believe the scene unfolding before her eyes!

’This is Brother Leopard!’

’Brother Long’s number one general!’

’Why did he suddenly become such a coward?’

Cheng Yuan snorted coldly. ”Miss Liu, facts have once again proven that your judgment isn’t all that great. That Brother Leopard you were just praising to the heavens, how come he’s being such a coward?”

Liu Ruyan: ”...”
