The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 479: Chapter 479: Cheng Yuan Is That Beam of Light in the Darkness

Cheng Yuan slowly stood up and gave Liu Ruyan a cool glance. ”Looks like it’s up to me, the ex-convict, to save the day. Tell me, Miss Liu, how are you feeling right now?”

Liu Ruyan’s face flushed red with anger. She wished she could flay Cheng Yuan alive!

However, Liu Ruyan felt she shouldn’t let Cheng Yuan go to his death; otherwise, Zhixuan would surely be devastated.

Liu Ruyan raised a hand to stop Cheng Yuan.

”Cheng, can you just stop causing trouble? Even Brother Leopard can’t afford to offend this Young Master Lin, which means his background is immense! It’s possible that even Brother Long, who’s behind Brother Leopard, can’t afford to provoke him! Just stop making trouble for Lanxin!”

”So, are we just supposed to abandon Senior Lanxin?”

”Help? What can an ex-convict like you possibly do? What makes you think you have the power? Right now, the best way to help Lanxin is to stop causing more trouble!”

”Miss Liu, I’ll say it again: you don’t know me at all. You have no idea what I’m capable of, so what gives you the right to lecture me? Move! Don’t get in my way!”

Cheng Yuan shoved Liu Ruyan aside and, under her shocked and furious gaze, strode toward Private Room 1.

Lin Shaofeng, believing he had the situation under control, smiled and patted the seat next to him. ”Boss Chang, have a seat. Don’t be a stranger.”

Chang Lanxin instinctively glanced at Lin Bao, who quickly lowered his head, avoiding her gaze.

Chang Lanxin gave a bitter smile. ’Even Brother Leopard has chickened out. Looks like there’s no escaping my fate today!’

Resigned to her fate, Chang Lanxin sat down.

Lin Shaofeng nodded in satisfaction. ”That’s more like it, Boss Chang! Come, let’s cross arms and have a drink. After this, you’ll be my woman. You’re coming home with me tonight!”

Chang Lanxin’s expression changed drastically. ’I originally thought I’d just have to drink a couple of glasses with him, and at worst, endure some groping. I never imagined Lin Shaofeng would push his luck this far!’

Chang Lanxin shot to her feet and stared coldly at Lin Shaofeng. ”Young Master Lin, please have some respect! This is a society governed by law! Is there no justice?”

The corner of Lin Shaofeng’s mouth quirked up as he spoke with utter arrogance, ”I’m sorry, but here in Gui City, I, Lin Shaofeng, am the law!”

Chang Lanxin glared at Lin Shaofeng defiantly and pulled out her phone to call the police.

Lin Bao, who was standing nearby, quickly snatched her phone and whispered in her ear, ”Lanxin, don’t be difficult! Young Master Lin is Brother Long’s illegitimate son. He’s the Crown Prince of Gui City!”

Chang Lanxin froze, terrified.

’So that’s why Lin Bao suddenly chickened out,’ she thought. ’This Lin Shaofeng is his young master—of course he’d be terrified!’

Chang Lanxin gritted her teeth and glared at Lin Shaofeng. ”Young Master Lin, with your status, what kind of woman couldn’t you find? Why must you make things difficult for me?”

”There are many women in Gui City, but you’re the first one as spicy as you, Boss Chang! Why would I make things difficult for you? I’m already dying to take care of you.”

Lin Shaofeng slowly stood up and reached out to caress Chang Lanxin’s pretty face.

Chang Lanxin knew she couldn’t escape, so she stopped trying, meeting Lin Shaofeng’s gaze with a stubborn look.

Two streams of crystalline tears slid down her cheeks, betraying that she was not as calm as she appeared.

Just as Chang Lanxin had resigned herself to her fate, Cheng Yuan walked into Private Room 1, grabbed Lin Shaofeng’s wrist, and said coldly, ”Get your filthy hand off my senior!”

With a sharp tug, Cheng Yuan threw Lin Shaofeng back into his seat.

Cheng Yuan stepped forward, shielding Chang Lanxin behind him as he stared coldly at Lin Shaofeng.

Cheng Yuan’s back was not particularly broad, but to Chang Lanxin, it radiated an overwhelming sense of security.

Chang Lanxin was moved beyond words. She finally understood why He Zhixuan had been so madly infatuated with Cheng Yuan all those years ago.

’Cheng Yuan was a beam of light in the darkness. Even if it meant being a moth drawn to a flame, one had to chase that light!’

Ever since Brother Long had brought him to Gui City, Lin Shaofeng had been used to running rampant. It was the first time anyone had ever pushed him down, and for a moment, he was too stunned to react.

Several of his lackeys scrambled to help Lin Shaofeng up, pointing at Cheng Yuan’s nose and cursing, ”Kid, who the hell are you? How dare you touch Young Master Lin? You got a death wish or something?”

Cheng Yuan snorted. ”Someone here does have a death wish, but it’s not me. From now on, Lanxin Bar is under my protection. Anyone who dares to cause trouble here again is disrespecting me!”

Cheng Yuan was incredibly domineering.

Not only was Chang Lanxin won over, but even Liu Ruyan was in a daze. Liu Ruyan could finally understand why He Zhixuan was so infatuated with Cheng Yuan.

However, Liu Ruyan was calm and practical, and she quickly came to her senses.

’No matter how brave Cheng Yuan is, it’s useless,’ she thought. ’Courage means nothing in the face of absolute power!’

Lin Shaofeng finally snapped out of it. He pointed at Cheng Yuan’s nose and roared, ”Who the fuck do you think you are? What right do you have to protect Lanxin Bar? Motherfucker! Believe it or not, I’ll fucking kill you!”

As he spoke, Lin Shaofeng shook off his lackeys’ support, grabbed a bottle of Ace of Spades, and pointed it at Cheng Yuan with a demonic scowl.

It seemed like in the next second, that bottle would come crashing down on Cheng Yuan’s head.

Not wanting Cheng Yuan to get hurt, Chang Lanxin was a nervous wreck. She shouted, ”Young Master Lin, don’t hurt him! I’ll stay with you! I’ll do whatever you want!”

Of course, Cheng Yuan wasn’t going to let a woman take the fall for him. He pulled her behind him and said with utmost seriousness, ”This is men’s business. Women should stand back.”

After speaking, Cheng Yuan turned back to face Lin Shaofeng, his expression blank. ”Apologize to the waiter and to my senior right now. Otherwise, I’ll cripple you.”

Lin Shaofeng actually laughed. ”HAHAHA, are you crazy, kid? You’re gonna cripple me? Come on, hit me right here!”

With a look of pure arrogance, Lin Shaofeng stuck his head forward.

Cheng Yuan, of course, did not hesitate. He grabbed another bottle of Ace of Spades and smashed it viciously over Lin Shaofeng’s head!

CRASH!

Lin Shaofeng’s head was split open.

Blood and alcohol streamed down, covering his face.

Everyone was stunned, staring at Cheng Yuan in disbelief.

’Young Master Lin is Brother Long’s illegitimate son, the Crown Prince of Gui City!’

’Is this kid insane?’

’He actually cracked open Young Master Lin’s head?’

Chang Lanxin was trembling with fear. She quickly grabbed Cheng Yuan, her voice shaking. ”Cheng Yuan!! You... how could you hit Young Master Lin? Young Master Lin is Brother Long’s only son!! You’re in huge trouble! You have to go, now!! Leave Gui City immediately!! And never come back!! I’ll apologize to Young Master Lin for you!!”

’Young Master Lin is Brother Long’s only son?’

The surrounding crowd erupted in an uproar.

Liu Ruyan, in particular, was so scared her face turned pale.

’Oh my God!’

’What has this ex-convict done?’

’He actually hit Brother Long’s son?’

’Even if you want to die, don’t drag us down with you!’

Liu Ruyan couldn’t stay a second longer. She quickly helped up the dead-drunk He Zhixuan and staggered toward the bar’s entrance, terrified of being implicated by Cheng Yuan.

Cheng Yuan saw Liu Ruyan leave but didn’t stop her. ’Senior Sister He is drunk. It’s better for her to go home early. If she stayed, I’d just have to split my attention looking after her.’

Lin Shaofeng, absolutely furious, pointed at Cheng Yuan and roared, ”Cripple him! Cripple him for me!! Beat him half to death! I’ll take responsibility for whatever happens!!”

Several of the lackeys grabbed bottles and viciously lunged at Cheng Yuan.

Unfortunately for them, how could they possibly be a match for Cheng Yuan?

With a flick of his wrists, Cheng Yuan easily snatched their bottles and smashed them viciously over their heads.

In an instant.

All of Lin Shaofeng’s lackeys had their heads cracked open and were lying on the ground, groaning incessantly.

Lin Shaofeng roared furiously, ”Useless! A bunch of useless trash! Lin Bao! Are you just going to stand there and watch the show? Get this kid for me, now!!”
